A Four Strain Barney’s Farm Grow

Omg how exciting!
I am excited Trala and looking forward to getting away. Starting to feel like a kid. I've only been in a growshop 1 time. Never a convention, it ought to be enlightening. Also looking forward to seeing the new lights and technology. Oh yea, and smoking good bud and sharing some of mine. :)

@stinker that is exciting! Like, Czech it out! (sorry, couldn't resist )
Clever! ;) That's exactly what I'm going to do. Its a short flight.
-----------
Good morning, Its raining again today. My plan was to mix and make the soil for this new grow. Its not complicated, just garden soil with worm humus, rock dust and pearlite for the most part. It will need to be done tomorrow now with the rain today. They are predicting sun. This time of year the weather changes so fast. It is beautiful with the fall colours.

I have a small covered trash bin that I have kept the more recent old soil in. Its clean with most of the roots removed. It smells and looks good now. I will mix in a big bag of compost, let it sit over the winter and use the soil for an outdoor this spring.

Its day 9 for the new grow and these sprouts are now fully in veg, the first 5 finger fans are just now opening up. The main stems have also hardened off. The humidifier will come out soon. Later next week the best 8 will be put in 8 liter grow bags. There will also be another Mimosa from an S1 for 9 total. I think I repeat.. 3 or 4 of these new starts stalled out or stunted. They are not bad looking, just not thriving like the others.

This morning one of the Critical Kush was tested and weighed. The 1 plant came in at 76 g and is still at 65% rh. Its been taking a good 60 days for a jar to cure.

Thanks for checking in.
Happy grows :peace:

The Cannafest visit sounds great stinker. There must be so many different things to take in there, especially good that as a grower a lot of the gear on show will be of interest. Not to mention the opportunity of being able to try different strains that may have some 'x' factor to them. That is one of things I would do if I was back somewhere that one can legally buy weed from a menu, go thru and find the strains that really do it for me and then buy the seeds.

Tasty looking Critical Kush buds. I presume the young plants are autos for 9 days old, amazing growth compared to the young ones I am kicking off now which have had double the time out of the soil and yet only half the size.

I don't believe you can legally buy weed at Cannafest. Maybe? Medical Cannabis is legal in the Czech Republic. I have no doubt there will be some choice bud to be seen and shared.

The young plants are photo-fems and are new or newer BF, strains. They are the Banana Punch, Gelato #45, and new unnamed test Indica and Sativa dominant strains. In the tent the conditions are optimized and things can move much faster than outside. I don't think I will grow autos again inside. They are too unpredictable size wise.

Thank you sir. There are a few that are noticeably larger than others already.
Today I was able to take some of the first nodes on a few.

Thank you GreenFingaz. This might be the best start yet as far as steady early growth. I'm happy :ganjamon:
Have you started another grow?

:thanks: Bill. Its a beautiful sunny Fall Sunday. Hope you and everyone else are having a nice weekend as well.
I hope things are easing up for you. I hate the rot. Had some last year.

What a great idea Stunger. Sample a strain and buy the seed if you like it. When I was in San Diego around 10 years ago, I went into a large dispensary and was amazed with all the choices, and the overall smells inside. That was the only dispensary I've been in. I could only imagine having the seeds available to buy there as well.
Even with stable genetics there can be subtle to large differences in the same strains from seed.

Yooo brrooo ye man my current run is the blue cheese going well atm check it out

The BG 41 has been hung to dry. It was hard waiting so long for just the 1 plant to finish off. The others in this grow were all ready within a week of each other. The Smell was thick.. This last plant was well worth waiting for. It has a great sativa buzz and bud structure. Big buds and spacey energy. I love sativa. Its always so satisfying wrapping up a grow and then its quickly onto the next.
I'll get more detailed info up on this last grow after the Gelato dries some and there is a little more of a cure on the others.

About half of the newly planted beans have broke soil and all but a couple have at least shown their heads. What doesn't properly start by tomorrow probably wont... at least not with vigor. :peace:

I always liked barnys farm.🤙

This grow is about over. :rollit::ganjamon: The White Widow XXL was my favorite strain of this grow. 3 were grown out for a total of 197g @ 67% rh. They also looked good growing. The 2 jars are fuller than the others so it’s taken longer for the rh to drop and stabilize. The buds look good now, the jars were just dumped this morning so the buds can mingle and get some air. My day started with a widow bud that I put in the stash tray last night. It was perfect this morning.

These multi-strain grows are fun. Growing a couple of each strain allows me to see the subtle and sometimes not so subtle differences in the phenos. I now prefer a straight grow with multiple plants and no topping. It works for me having more plants to fill the space, I can veg for a shorter period of time and still have a full manageable tent. I also like getting the larger main colas.

The @Barney's Farm beans coupled with the @Remo Nutrients grown again under the @Mars Hydro FC 4800 made for a great combo again. Using the strong light in my smaller 1m x 1m tent, I can still have heat issues. I will be looking into a more adjustable light controller (twilight etc.) to see if It helps get the heat under better control in flower. Something I will be looking into while at Cannafest in November.

These new starts are looking good. The plan is to get them into 8 liter grow bags later this week. A few are hungry now, some are starting to droop. For me, it’s always a fine line watering the youngsters, sometimes the leaves get water heavy and droop.

Happy grows :peace:

Nice color

Good morning, last Thursday 9 of the new starts were uppotted to 8 liter grow bags, 4 were left as backups in their starter pots. Yesterday was day 18 and the grow bags were watered and fed to runoff for the first time.

These will either be flipped on Thursday, day 21 or on Sunday when I return from Cannafest. I hope to come home with a rosin press and all the info needed to make a fortune in the Legal Cannabis Industry. Maybe a t-shirt or 3. Stay tuned.

Happy grows :peace:

Hi la Rue :)

It’s looking like a weed army in there!
They are about to take on some casualties. I also hate culling healthy plants. On top of my own issues I now will think of you when they die. Cannabis plants produce so many seeds that a few dead starts wont hurt.
Have a great time at the cannafest! Try and get us some pics :)
Yeah wow, that'd be good!
Will do.
--------------

Its day 20. I think I will give some extra dark tomorrow night, set the timer for 12/12 and flip on Friday before I go out of town. Today I gave a partial watering while trying to determine the proper amount of water to allow for a full watering on Friday.
What a surprise it was to be nominated for GJOTM. It was an even bigger surprise to have won. :ganjamon:
Thank you! :peace:

Good Morning!
Its day 21 today and there are 9 left in the tent. Tomorrow I will be going to Cannafest for the weekend. These ladies will veg until Saturday when my wife will turn out the lights for me.
When I return Sunday the timer will be re set for 12/12. It will have been a 23 day veg!

This is the best way for me to leave town. I wont have to worry about someone else dealing with temps or anything at all until I return. We have the first real cold snap on its way.

Happy grows :peace:
