Wow Ditch. You let me get away with neglecting your room this long? Where was I? Oh yeah.... Brownies.
We are all drowning in filth. When I talk to anyone or read the writings of anyone who has any axe to grind,
I feel that intellectual honesty and balanced judgement have simply disappeared from the face of the earth. ...
Everyone is dishonest, and everyone is utterly heartless towards people who are outside the immediate
range of his own interests.
What is most striking of all is the way sympathy can be turned on and off like
a tap according to political expediency.
I did not write the words above. A man named George Orwell did.
He wrote them in 1942. Perhaps the world has not changed as
much as we try to fool ourselves into believing that it has.
George didn't have much of a self-image did he? Poor soul. He wrote up a storm though. He knows better now.
great post friend,, sad as heckapotamus, but true,,
so reminds me of a movie i watched once,, maybe the same era,, forties or so,, a bunch of adults, supposed adults sitting around a table talking about the youth of today, that 40's today, how they were so messed up and gone to hell in a hand basket, whatever the hell in a hand basket that means
we are on a progression,, nothing new for thousands of years,, everything has been said, thot and done,,
i think
You got it nivek. We simply repurpose with new inspiration, in our attempts to make things better as we go on. We're human, it's what we do.
It's a bit raw though, I reckon George either lost a good friend or even worse never had one. Don't be like George, live well
I found myself wondering if his mother might have handed him a bottle of prune juice and said "Drink this, you'll feel better."
That just sounds so horrible. I don't approve of politicians being in charge of this.
Oh, that we could find a way to get our politicians out of the market, eh? What a blissful thought. Maybe that's where we should be focusing our collective energies.
But I have to say this,,,, I live in the Best Country in the world. I'm in my humble opinion. Not taking from any other countries.. I might be alittle prejudice in saying this phrase, seeing I'm from here. But "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it". There are ALOT of countries that wood give anything to have our freedoms that we take for granted. Is there better run governments,,, probably. But I bet peoples in those countries still snivel...... That's what peoples do when being governed and have laws. Even if I think some laws are garbage. Believe me, is alot I don't agree with, but...........
Girls are filling in nicely. Your going to have some nice compact bushes there Ditchweed... Keepem Green
AMEN Woody. I'd rather duke it out here where they won't shoot me in the streets or whisk me off in the dead of the ni........ Wait! We do that, don't we?
Never mind. We have a lot of positive work ahead of us.
Who gave the world drug laws? reason countries have no medical mj laws. Big countries can really hurt little ones if you don't follow what they say. Then they decide to change shit up, to be able to tax that income.. There's a lot of history with this shit, don't get down on your country like they don't care for you. Learn the history cause that's all it is now. Shits changing everywhere, it'll take time but money creates change (sadly...?...)
Sadly Grizz, America has to accept the lion's share of responsibility for the global madness. We gave the world Nixon, Reagan, Bush, Bush, and now the joys of Trump. We, as a society, apologize. We're trying our best to make it better. Please be patient with us. We really didn't understand until very recently the true damage we did with these misguided policies. At large, we're a country dedicated to helping and building hope. We're still learning how to evolve as a society, but I have great faith in our ability to get it right.
I hear what you are saying my friend. I just get tired of society beating its head against the same wall.
We spend so much time, effort and money to control the uncontrollable.
Just a little rant. Lol.
@ Grizz - Money, I think you found the root of the evil. The problem that is being had is that the correct
People must make the the big bucks from legalization.
I just want to grow, smoke, and be left alone.
The crux of our dilemma.
That does suck but that's for the MJ dispensaries though rite?....that is a lot of money but if its in a state that's legal wouldn't the average Joe be able to have up to so many plants growing in their house
Arizona has a rule in their law that states if you live within 50 miles of a dispensary you are not permitted to grow your own. You see cannoisseuras, what I grow in the privacy of my home can't be tracked and taxed by my friendly local, state and federal governments. In the legalization of medical cannabis someone forgot there were actual patients out there who might actually need the cannabis to heal, and maybe, just maybe it'd be more beneficial to them if they could grow in their homes and on their own properties.
The siren call of tax money. We didn't factor in how powerful that would be. We have some rocky days ahead.
Agreed. She is a pretty one.
She's so wonderfully bushy. I can't wait to see how much she stretches. For some reason, mine don't stretch much. Maybe because I've learned to train them so well, or it's the strains I choose, but I anticipate more than I've yet to see. It's fun to watch so many other cultivators work their magic. Your beauties are simply gorgeous themselves Spookies. I can see you plopped down in that easy chair enjoying watching gentle breezes stir their leaves on a lazy afternoon. What bliss.
Example.....maryland is legal for medical but it has been decriminalized along with paraphernalia as well.
So there is no fine or jail time in Maryland for paraphernalia and if you have under 10 grams of bud its just a $100 fine. The tent and lights excreta would fall under paraphernalia so people wouldn't need to worry about that and as for growing if the plant is 10grams or less its a $100 fine. Over ten grams but up to so many pounds (not sure the exact number) is a fine and possibly up to a year in jail...possibly...... but if they ever find anyone growing any plants they weigh the whole plant. Whatever soil is on the roots will be calculated in as the total weight of the plant. But if they suspect you of manufacturing/growing to sell then the fines and punishment and penalties will be greater. Even more so for repeat offenders.
NORML. should have an updated breakdown of your states current laes
Consider if you will, that every state so far, I believe, has outlawed the production of concentrates in your home. This means it's illegal for us to not only grow our own but to process it into CCO, or shatter, or hash. Yeah, that's enforcable without special "units" of "peace officer" teams working every neighborhood. There's a world we were hoping for.
It's not money thats the root of evil. It's the human beings lust for money is where the evil comes in. Money is just a piece of paper or a little bit of alloy
How easily we forget this simple part of the equation. It's a tool people. Nothing more, nothing less. There is no shortage, other than what we choose to create.
Makes me wonder if things are going to change for the better or if we are going to move backwards and lose the progress that weve made once the p elect has been sworn in
We're always moving forward. It's important that we remember this at all times. Forward momentum. Regardless of the madness, or the appearance of governmental insanity, we stay steadfastly on a path that moves us into a more inclusive future. Again, we're human. It's what we do. No one said it had to be elegant. That's a good thing.
Whatever you would like to call it, sure seems to be all important to a lot of people.
We can change that. There's great hope for us, and in the end, we're all eternal anyway and all of this is transitory. Live, laugh, love. Have fun with it. Life is meant to be fun.
Good morning Ditch. That felt good. I love a room full of good conversation. Thanks for indulging me.
Awww hell.... that deserves another hug.
