A Base Treatment Regimen For Cancer

I've been doing good, I finally got a diagnosis of remission on my lung cancer after 7 years and my wife's leukemia has been in remission for about four and a half years so we're probably in the clear there.

What a lovely thing to read. :battingeyelashes:

After a little more research and discussion with Sue, we have settled on 3:1 or 4:1 CBD-THC for her ER+ breast cancer. I've decided to grow out Candida CD1 and add some THC to get to the desired ratio.

If there's anyone else here treating ER+ It would be great for your input too :)

:peace:

that's wonderful

may I ask if you do any maintenance and if yes which one?

:circle-of-love:
I like to make my capsules with flax oil it seems to really agree with my personal physiology. I also like to use a little bit more lecithin cuz I have a lot of neuropathy and lecithin is quite good for nerves and brain tissue. At this point all I'm really interested in treating is my autoimmune disease and my neuropathy to that end I take one 5x capsule in the morning two 5x caps late afternoon and two 2.5x capsules at night before I go to sleep. I use 2:1 THC:CBD in my caps.

My wife is really inconsistent in her use of cannabinoids for therapy she can range from half gram of active cannabinoids a day to nothing it's just kind of odd how she decides what to take and when.

She's dosing intuitively. Good for her. Three doses a day, a schedule I'm partial to myself. :cheesygrinsmiley:

@jingo thank you so much for your answer and info :thanks:

I understand that you do a 5:1 dilution. you take each day 5.5 capsules as maintenance. if I am right you take 1g each day. pleased correct if I am wrong.

2:1 THC/CBD do you know the mg THC/CBD per ml?

I am still far away from maintenance but I want to be ready if and when I get to it

Before I met Cajun and Sue, I was speaking to Jeff Ditchfield at Bud Buddies. He recommended a maintenance dose of 200mg per day. Whether that’s correct or not I don’t know but it would be interesting to hear other opinions/recommendations :)

I had to stop and think about that one for a little bit. I take three 5:1 dilution and two 2.5:1 dilution. Some of my cannabinoids are inactive, about 30%, still in acid form. Going by my testing and math, I take 1150 mg of cannabinoids.

I like to think in terms of cannabinoids simply because I'm used to thinking medically and I like to know milligrams produce that kind of thing. Since I live in a state where I can do lab tests and I'm able to work that out one way or another. For reference my cco contains 840 mg per gram.

Something that can have a rather large effect on the strength of the capsule is the amount of lecithin I use for each preparation. I tend to put 3 ml of lecithin in each capsule mix that I make up. So when I'm making stronger capsules I tend to make less capsules and that means I use a lot more lecithin per capsule.

I'm really treating my autoimmune disease at this point and I'm treating it as if it were cancer. So you know I'm taking one gram doses a day I guess. It absolutely amazes me how it's cooling off my neuropathy, I was really getting worried that I was going to lose the use of my right arm and now I'm starting to think I might be able to start lifting weights sometime this winter.

The real benefit though has been my yearly visits to my personal physician. Every single thing he measures has improved since I've started using lots of cannabis. I stopped taking my prescription drugs which was like 13 to 16 different drugs a day. He asked me what it was he could do for me and I told him just monitor the big stuff that could sneak up on me. Otherwise I take care of my own health with cannabis and he respects that.

And that's exactly what we want to hear. You know.... there's a big push to get everyone to do micro dosing. Somewhere in my inexperienced but intuitive heart is a voice saying "this is wrong." We can't be hurt by cannabinoids. Why stop at a minimal dose? What's the motivation behind that? In cases of chronic pain there might be a case to be made, but even there you're looking at too few studies with too small a population to be taken seriously.

It all falls back to starting low and working up to the dose you feel comfortable with. I'm comfortable at around 300-500 mg a day myself, and I have very few health issues.

What you're witnessing in yourself is the potential of assisting the ECS in creating true homeostasis. With the stresses we've lived with that's going to take a higher dose, administered consistently and thoughtfully. It warms my heart to see you have the regimen running smoothly. Keep up the good work. :high-five:

At least that's the way it makes the most sense to me.

Hello everybody,

I was refer to this thread to ask questions regarding my dosage and type of oil I'm using.

My mother was just diagnosed with cancer. She has a tumor in her abdominal area. It's diffuse large B cell lymphoma stage two. I have read so much about cannabis killing cancer cells. I became a firm believer and decided to ask her if she would like to try this. It's been a long journey. She had never consume cannabis. At the time she was diagnosed(July 2017) she starte ingesting small amounts of oil working her way up to 1g a day. As of August she decided to use suppositories. Her oncologist refuse to monitor her well being because she refused chemo. We have finally found a Dr. A week ago and October 28 2017 she had an ultrasound to see if the tumor has shrink. Unfortunately it grew and I'm asking for guidance to see if there is anything we can do. I would hate for her to accept chemo. Can one please guide me as to what to do?

She is taking 1g of RSO oil (74. 6% THC and 0.18% CBD) it's an indica dominate hybrid. The suppositories are home made with cocoa butter.

thanks again :thanks:

840mg is actually 84% and sounds nice and high

how big are the capsules you are using? how do you take those capsules? orally or suppositories

I take 00 orally, I had initially thought about suppositories but it was so quick and easy to build up to a high dose that I didn't bother.

Sue will be able to give you some real specific guidance on ratios, in the meantime you should do a little research on the supplement apigenin and competitive inhibition. Most people dose with that before they use the cannabinoids. You also might want to look into a little bit different carrier oil than the cocoa butter. I like to use flax oil although the one oil that I know that's safe for most/all cancers is olive oil. Then we also use Liquid lecithin derived from sunflowers to potentiate the cannabinoids.

All of the above mentioned stuff could increase the effectiveness of what you're already giving her even if you don't change the ratio of cannabinoids.

Hello CCSC. :hugs: What a dilemma, eh? There are a few questions that need clarification, if you don't mind.

* Are the suppositories the ordinary ones made with just coco butter? I ask because we have a formulation we've named biobombs that include liquid sunflower lecithin into the mix, and this addition dramatically increases the bioavailability of the cannabinoids. I'm assuming you aren't aware of this twist in the meds, so here's the link to that thread. Ask anything, and someone will be there to help you sort it all out. https://www.420magazine.com/community/threads/biobombs-cannabis-oil-kick.356122/

The BioBombs are made with extra-virgin olive oil, which enters through the lymphatic system, gaining more time before the onslaught in the liver as enzymes work to metabolize the cannabinoids, which takes them out of the effective range we hope to maintain. This means they have to be made as capsules to be used as suppositories, but that's easier in many ways than making and using traditional suppositories.

The coco butter gets the cannabinoids absorbed through the digestive system, starting with that gauntlet in the liver. Which brings me to competitive inhibition practices. I'd recommend you begin her on Apignen, two capsules per dose, taken about 30 minutes in advance of the doses. Kingston Rabbi has determined a distinct advantage to two capsules over one, so trust his sense and stick to two. Those Apignen doses will tie up the liver enzymes and buy more time for the cannabinoids that can more easily get through and get back into the bloodstream.

If you haven't already, read the first couple pages of this thread. The information Cajun left us is well worth the read. We have made some modifications, but for the most part that regimen stands as the gold standard we follow.

* How many doses a day are you using? The cannabinoid availability in the open system has a limited window, so we recommend you get to 4-5 doses a day to keep constant pressure on the tumor cells. I'm glad to hear she's using suppositories. I believe this is the best route for getting the majority of the cannabinoids in there.

* You mention growth of the tumor, but don't say how much growth. I understand the chagrin at discovering the tumor has grown, but take a breath. You're administering a medication that works on the cellular level, so results can take longer to be noticable than we hope for, but I encourage you to trust in the regimen. In great part, the success of any protocol relies on the faith the patient holds on its effectiveness. Keep her spirits high. The Endocannabinoid system runs most efficiently the more playful you can be, so laughter and oodles of hugs are required. :cheesygrinsmiley: Here's my contribution to the cause.

:hugs: :hugs: :hugs: :hugs: :hugs:

Thats a start. We're here to help you sort through the information, so please, no question is inconsequential.

To sum up, I'd recommend

* Begin some type of competitive inhibition practices.
* Dose 4-5 times a day.
* Whenever possible, switch to BioBombs. Use what you have, but I'd make that switch ASAP.

Your ratios look good, although I might try to get the CBD levels up to a 4:1 THC:CBD ratio. Do you have any idea what chemovars were used to make the oil? There's a general consensus building in the canna med field that for cancer we want to seek out chemovars that contain beta-Caryophyllen. That terpene will activate the CB2 receptor, a feature that greatly enhances the therapeutic value of the meds. It's CBD that gets to work on cutting the blood supply for tumor cells, thus killing them off.

For sure I'd be trying to get more CBD into the regimen.

Sorry for the info overload. Don't be shy. Ask, ask, ask. Our intent is to have you feeling confident as you move on.

It must be said: I love it when a new member walks through this door and the wagons circle with loving attendance.

You guys make me so proud it moved me to tears. :hugs: :hugs: :hugs:

I'd meant to ask you about this jingo. How long did it take you to get up to that dose comfortably? How did you pace yourself? There will be a certain number of patients who can't tolerate suppositories. I can tell you that for a woman with hemorrhoids, it can be messy and uncomfortable, but workable. I'd like to have a usable protocol for oral ingestion on hand to offer as an alternative.

Thank you all for the information. I feel blessed with having so many angels helping me. Its made me feel as if for a moment the whole world stopped to embrace my situation. thank you so so much.:Love:

Like most of all here I'm trying to help a loved one. My mothers tumor measured 4cm(July) and has grown to 6cm(October). She has been in so much pain specially when she walks. I'm assuming because the weight of the tumor and gravity pulling down is causing her the pain.

I feel I'm pressed for time because this coming Tuesday (10/31) she has an appoint to see her oncologist and opp for chemo. I just made a new batch of suppositories to add CBD but I don't know how fast we can see results. I'm trying really hard to avoid her taking Chemo.

5 g RSO oil 74.6% THC: 0.18%CBD
1 g CBD oil 67.7%CBD :0.14%THC
cocoa butter
this makes 12 supositories
not sure how to figure our the math or if it needs more CBD. Also I made the batch before reading all the suggestions. Will look into BioBoms now.

About the suppositories the reason we are using cocoa butter is because when we used coconut oil it gave her diarrhea. At the start of her suppository adventure we were using capsules but every time she would use them she noticed the capsules would not dissolve and would pop out when using the restroom. I found the Back Door method of Paula-Noël Macfie and that is the reason my mother is now using ordinary suppositories. She was having a hard time ingesting all the oil orally and she was having lots of hallucinations. She uses three suppositories a day.

Hope this helps paint a clearer picture and pray we get information as to what to do next. I have lots of homework to do and catch up with all the threads suggested. I'm having an info overload, but it's worth the stress!!!

Thank you all!!

Edited for clarity..

I was a heavy cannabis user mainly through edibles vaporizing and smoking. I knew every time I increased my cannabinoid intake it cooled off my inflammation and autoimmune disease, but all the Edibles had sweets and that was kind of an antagonistic relationship. So when I made the switch to capsules it only took a few days to get booted right up on a high dose. Drastically reducing my sugar and flour intake is also been a big help.

People can be so different, I've never understood how a person can tolerate absolutely hideous chemotherapy and then baulk at relatively benign cannabinoid therapy.
