600W LED Grow

re: GLH 600W LED Grow

wow, 18-20" and they're budding like that?

that's not much different than HID distances.

very cool.

ya thats the things that blows me away. usaly i have to keep my other leds ive grown with closer then 12" to get desent buds. given that they were way less watts. 90w, 126w, 180w,. thats why i want to get a few 300's or something and keep this light around 12" and see what i can pull? i treated this grow just like HID even the hight.

re: GLH 600W LED Grow

:thumb:4 300,s in a 4x4 tent would be a serious grow..... 75 watts per sq ft should produce the size buds your looking fore. these lights are pretty high powered because the footprint is about the size of the case

ya the four 300's might be in the works real soon. at least three 300's in a 4x4 area. i am not sure how many watts per sq ft that is in a 4x4 tent?

your the only one i,ve seen post the actual wattage lol! i don't have a clamp on meter so i can't say how much mine pulls but i guess it's a little more than advertized. so if it turns out that the 300's pull more like 325 watts then it would be 4x325=1300 watts divided by 16sq ft =81.25 watts per sq ft with a few of those watts going for the fans

i would think the 300's drawl around 350-365 watts. i would guess around 365w since my 600w is 729w. and the 180's around 243w. i could be wrong but just dividing my 600w up and getting this. could be a little less because they have less fans then mine dose. so if my math is right it should be around 91.25w per sq ft. with four 300's and 68w per sq ft. with three 300's

Mike told me in a PM that the 180w pulls aprox 240w and the 300w pulls aprox 360w..

I have a Kill A Watt device.. When I get my 300w from Mike I will post a pic of the actual power draw for ya.

The 180's draw 240 actual watts and the 300 draws 360w. I tested the 600 with my watt meter again and left it running for a couple hours and it stayed at a steady 740w draw. I'd post the actual 120 draw but I have none to test right now.

Hope that clears things up for you guys. Also ill be changing the name of my website soon to SpectraLED.com and the actual wattage will be updated on the website.

cool bro i would love to see this:thumb:

are you injecting Co2?

No i am not injecting co2, i wish i could but i dont have the money to buy the tanks and all that good stuff needed. maybe on a latter grow i will get some co2 running. but for now its just regular air

thanks for clearing that up. so the watts change when they run for a while? vs my 729w?

If you look at the pic it says 729 and in small letters on the right it says 'Va' but it should say 'watt' so the actual watt reading is 740w. Your panel should be the same at 740w.

re: GLH 600W LED Grow

i figure since these girls are only on week six, in the last few week if i remember right they should really start stacking on that weight. once i hit week 7 i am gonna give them some MOAB (mother of all blooms) it has a NPK of 1-52-32. ive heard good things about it making others buds really fatter up. so i figure week 7&8 ill feed it with moab then week 9-10 flush the girls real good then pull these bitches. i also have some bud blaster left from older grows witch is the same thing almost as the moab but it has 3 different types of super Phosphates whatever that means? the moab only has one type of Phosphate. maybe ill use both one week moab and another week bud blaster.

the super natural bud blaster has: Mono- potassium Phosphate, Di-ammonium Phosphate (DAP), Super phosphate (OSP), Mono-ammonium Phosphate (MAP) with an NPK of 1-52-31

and the MOAB has: Mono- potassium Phosphate, Mono-ammonium Phosphate (MAP) with a NPK of 1-52-32.

i think the bud blaster might use dyes? is all blue looking powder and my MOAB say no dyes are used and it white powder.

re: GLH 600W LED Grow

This power situation explains a lot of what we are seeing with Mike's unit. I have used the 300W unit, and it did very well. I think your grow here irish, won't be disappointing.

It's always good to know the power consumption, since our goal is efficiency, and we must strive towards that goal!

very true its always good to know what kind of power ur using. as far as my grow things look great as of now and it can only get better over the next 4 weeks, as long as i dont do something stupid like nute burn them.lol. but thats one thing i like with Mikes lights you get more watts for your money then any other led company i have seen. more watts for less money= happy me!!

re: GLH 600W LED Grow

Things are looking GREAT Irish, thanks for using the bud lite bottle as a size reference for those juicy colas.

On another note, I'm just curious to how many people would buy this light at it's current price if it worked to satisfaction?

re: GLH 600W LED Grow

hey not to change the subject but just searching around I cam across something interesting. HGL just made some goofy ass vertical LED but weirdly enough the viewing angles were changed to 90 degree.

I don't know how people expect that light to perform when those hgl lights have to be within inches of the plant to get even a decent so called yield. I guess everyone has to have dreams though.

ya their no way you could have her light 18-20" like mine. my grow went to shit even with my light around 12" with her 126w. and at the end it was my fault because i didnt have it at 8" like she wanted. its all good i think ill stick with the higher watt leds from now on 3w+. its funny how she is biting others idea on the 90 degree when she says everyone copy's her. next she will have lights with no glass like mike is doing. but let this be the end of this talk because last thing i want is a war about her again.

Day 46 of flowering

DAY 46 OF FLOWERING
the XJ-13 are really starting to fatten up and fill in now, hope they fill in allot over then next few weeks. the HS is just some nice plants, nice fat tight buds all over, tons of resin shining everywhere. if she still fattens up over the next few weeks, then theres gonna be some even more huge buds all over them. lets keep our fingers crossed that they fatten up even more over the next few weeks. i am very happy with my HS and the buds she has. the XJ-13 has the most resin and is just covered white, it is some fire for sure, but it needs to fatten up and fill in quite a bit to get those 15" colas filled with solid bud. i just think shes a latter bloomer because she is starting to kick into gear this week. i expect them to fatten up allot more on week 7 when i feed them my bud enhancer. we shall see? enjoy the pics!
