6 Ladies Cloned Trifecta, 2019, Indoor 4x8 LED

I think they’re going to be ok. I’ll check in the morning to see how they slept.

Did you check out the lst tutorial on InTheShed’s post ?
Just did, and bookmarked it.
I’m still learning about the links and everything.

A write up on proper watering that @Emilya created popped up on another forum, which lead me to this one. There are a lot of very informative write ups here, and the engagement has been awesome.

LST is something I’ve seen a lot of folks doing on the web. Makes complete sense.

Well, I can’t seem to stay away from them so I went ahead and finished the floor. Lol

So I did a little remodeling and added a ceiling to my room. I was having trouble keeping the humidity up so I figured this would help. It stays in the 40s now.

As for the ladies, they look a lot healthier. I watered with CalMag Saturday, flipped the bloom switch off, up to 40” with the light, and started running the temp a bit higher. (75-82F) I’ve also added CalMag to my foliage spray, which I do after each light cycle. 18/6 ATM

I’m going to try my URB brew again for the next water cycle this week. I believe the bloom/veg switches and lack of nutes may have caused the issues I was seeing. It’s hard to tell since I changed so many variables at once. I’m just glad they’re back on the up and up.

Trimmed out some of the bad leaves. My ole’ lady got to name her favorite 3 ladies, and I got to name the other 3. They’re Household names. Lol!

They are Looking strong though. I was very close to giving them a dose of URB, but I held back. Again, following @Emilya advice, I’ll give them another 24. Let em work for it.

I there a preference between feeding/watering at dark vs. Light? I’ve read that the roots do a lot of work at dark, but that seems to big a larger debate. I myself believe they need a little rest, not only from the lights, but from the fans too.

At “night” I typically offset the fresh air fan (intake), turn it off oscillating, and point it towards the heater (oscillating) to keep it from torching the tips of the leaves. It still drops into 20-30F here so I’m still using the heater.

BTW, the Lasko 5309 Electronic Oscillating Tower Heater is phenomenal. I got it for less than $40 on Amazon if you’re looking for a smooth running heater.

Back to the point, I think every living thing needs rest, so I do the same in regards to wind/light for the ladies.

I feed/water the soil before “sun up”, then spray foliage no less than 15 minutes after “sun down”.

I grew up with huge vegetable gardens, and that’s been a rule of thumb as long as I can remember.

Thoughts?

Too soon?

At this point since they're in veg, I'd go with neem oil mixed per the bottle every three days for at least two weeks. It should take care of most bugs at this stage.

1500 watts seems like an enormous wasted of electricity to me for those plants now, but it's your dime!
Hey ITS, can you recommend a good neem oil? Prefer premixed vs. over self mix?

I’m skitish when it comes to spraying my plants with things besides water. I killed my strawberry plants trying to kill spider mites a year or so ago. (Is that what you’re thinking it is?) it wasn’t with neem oil though.

Should I go ahead and spray all 6 or just the 2 showing?

Thrips and mite damage looks similar:

Neem should take care of both in veg. I use the Southern Ag brand of concentrate from Home Depot:

Be sure to spray all the plants that live together. Bugs like to move around!
Thanks for the advice/recommendation brother. I’ll run by HD on the way home.

Neem’d, URB’d, and polished off with Spring water + CalMag.
Ladies are pampered up looking good.
Thanks for the recommendation @InTheShed, much appreciated.

I ordered 500 mixed predatory mites that should arrive tomorrow. I got the Neem oil you recommended, but I’m too impatient, and I’m not sure I like the smell being on the plants either.

I didn’t see a whole lot of information on predatory mites here, but from other sources, they seem to be very effective.

This specific “blend” has different types:
A.cucumeris, N. californicus, P. persimilis. and A. swirskii

I’ll report back on how well they do. Does anyone have any experience with NGG’s live mites?

Took a picture last night, girls are looking very healthy. Do clones tend to grow slower? I figured I’d have better growth in a months time.

That neem smell means it's working! Not for use on flowering plants though.

Sorry, no experience with predatory mites :(.
I’m curious. Folks swear by them.

It says to release them at night so we’ll find out soon enough.

And for the curious... I ordered the special blend, just in case. $10+ship from CA. $40 due to overnight shipping.

Has anyone had issue with mold growing underneath clay ball toppers?
In the middle of transplanting, and noticed fuzzy mold looking stuff when I was removing them. Should have taken pictures I guess. Has anyone else experienced this... maybe I have too many on top?

I haven’t seen anything that sounds like that let’s see what @InTheShed knows ?
