5 Unknown Strains - 2012 Grow

I think giving a extra couple weeks in veg will do the trick to be able to boost the tolarence. Because you wouldn't give a 2 week plant the same as you would give a 5-6 week plant. I think I will add 5ml of bloom or 2ml of Kool bloom every other feeding to see the max as I really want to max out on these plants so I know what to do exactly with my next 12 that is up and coming.

Grozyme is some good stuff I read up on that also before I went to hygrozyme & bio root is really really good stuff. I really can't believe it's so cheap. Idk if you looked up what's in bio root or not but you should check it out if you didn't. I think I may stay with GH for a while but venture out to other companies additives. Oh also silica will help out alot also with the uptake of nutrients and tolarance of a high PPM. I use AN Rhino Skin! Works perfect!

#2 PlantCheese Wiz Qush!!!!

Did they do okay with that high of ppm so early in the flowering stage?

It might take 3-4 days to see signs of burn. I'm not sure what strength you used right before that, but if it was a huge jump, you might want to try less extreme jumps when testing how much nuts a strain can handle.

I was going to mention, a very forgiving medium to get plants huge is corse rockwool. Dude got a pound from 1 trainwrech plant, LST, and under a 600 hps. He feeds them a lot of nutes, pretty often. This is the rockwool that comes in a bag, and you use it like a medium by placing it in a pot. He hand waters. I found it really interesting.

If you wanted to check it out.

Like coco, with rockwool, you want to prewet it with ph water, let it sit for at least a half hour, then test the ph of the rockwool, and keep adjusting the ph until it stables before transplanting into it, or using it to for seed or clones.

Your grow is coming along nicely.

Happy New Year LEDRF!

Everything's going great with them. It wasnt a huge jump in the PPM. It went from 1000/1200 to 1350-1500. Im gradually getting them up there. And I would like to make up with the weight and density of the nugs since The Cheese Wiz Qush is only in a 3.5 gallon pot. I meant to transplant her in a 5 gallon but I didnt. So Im going to continue to pump them up until I start to see slight burning then I will back off. Im doing a good regular water every 2 feeds so im giving them room to breath. I lowered the light on them also. Its about 10" away now. The HPS doesnt give off alot of heat so Im sure theyll be good, im keeping a eye on them. Next grow Ill either add another 400w or go to a 600w-1000w HPS. Havent made up my mind yet. It all depends on what I come away with on this grow.

As for what my plants are in, there in coco coir and MG organic soil and mixed in that is bone meal. Its the best combo of soil ive put together yet. Plants seem to love it and I have control over the whole soil and grow. Also it dry fast which I like since I like to pump them up. Vegging longer is the key to all of this! :thumb:

Awesome, man. Happy New Year. I am curious to see how much ppm they end up settling on.

The biggest yields per plant I have seen so far, have been from 1-2 plants under a 400 or 600 hps.

You saw that guy on here that got almost a pound from one plant with a 400. I would like to see what happens if he grew in corse rockwool.

I dont think he said what watt he was using on the lemon kush or train wreck? But if those were under a 400w Im really going to go for it all. :) Also it wouldve been good to know what size pot he had his plants in? The bigger pot bigger root system more fruits! Very nice dense nugs he had also. My plants took that 1350-1500 PPM well. I only see purpling starting to run threw the veins under the leaves so I will give a good flush or regular water next week. Thats why I push my plants so much because I only water/feed them 1 per week. So I make it up with the PPM! 5TH week of flower Im giving them 1500-1700 PPM and see how it goes.

I tried a sample of Plant #1 and it was a good sweet smooth smoke. Very sweet and the smell didnt smell like weed at all. It was like bake goods :)

Yeah Whiz!
Happy New Year!

Thanks Vick! HAPPY NEW YEARS! Hope you enjoyed your count down! :)

Congrats on MotM! Happy New Year!

Congratz on MOTM Awesome job.

I have been reading through this journal for the last few hours and so far I'm on page 27 lol (slow reader)
I being a noob have a question, why is it I see a lot of pictures where you seem to have cut the leaves in half? I just put my first ever clone (donated to me) in my tent under 250 watt CFL and the ends seem to be dry and curling under. the light is exactly 6 inces from the top of the clone. I will be buying the PH/EC meter on Friday so it could well be a problem with PH tap water. I was wondering if cutting the ends off would help until I get a good reading on whats going on. So why do you cut the leaves in half? Thanks for taking the time with us noobs.

The reason for cutting the leaves is due to the plant being able to support the leaves while trying to make new roots. It aides by leaving the leaves on as much as possible but you do not want to support too much foliage while trying to get roots started. :) Hope that helps.

PS water is left out 24 hours prior to use, and I have been using Hesi root complex.

I try to evaporate as much of the chemicals in my tap water as possible so I do a minimum of 48 hrs.

Well saying 24 is minimum as I make enough for 2/3 feeds, the water I have left out now is 3 days old and I was not really sure if I should use it after being out that long.

It is fine to use after that long just shake it up a bit to get some O2 mixed back in. :) When I need humidity boosts I will take all the caps off my 1 gallon jugs to get more moisture into the air. :)

Not a problem man. That is what we are here for. Have a great New Year and keep it green. :peace:
