5 Unknown Strains - 2012 Grow

Ive notice something working with clones. I should've been had the idea though of how it effects the growth. Im talking about humidity. Im going to purchase a humidifier soon and place it in my grow room. My female clone had tremendous growth over night since planting her in coco. And the compost tea that I had made works well as it nourished the coco/organic soil very well. Also the humidity will keep your medium hydrated and the plants love it I see. I keep a misted sandwich bag over top of her when I transplant for humidity. Works very well. No more dry top soil. A few picks of one of my female clones dancing :party:

She has a thick figure like her mother :cheesygrinsmiley:

I shouldve went to go get one today but my girlfriend took the car to work. All though I still had time to go get one i was procrastinating. Between the humidifier or the clonex gel which cost around the same price. Or to make a 50 site aero system. I really dont need the aero even though I want to do hydro but I was going to use it for cloning but I like the dome, mat tray thing does a well job. Cloning gel I need regardless but I have enough clones, correction never enough clones. I still have to clone my last fem plant. No clonex. I used rooting powder on my last clones I took so if those root then I will go with the humidifier and buy some seeds:cheesygrinsmiley:

Keep in mind though that a RH over 50% and you're risking POWDER MOLD!
 
True, I was thinking that. But I figure I have it on a timer instead of running it all day. Plus the fans tend to drop the humidity alot so it should even it out. I just figure its getting real cold where im at so its starting to feel real dry in my house. Running my heat will only make it dryer. Im pretty sure my RH drops from 50% to 20% more than 10 times a day. The growth rate has slowed on one of my females and I feel from the dryness in the air.

I'm pretty sure Wiz has killed clones by every way known to man ........ LOL.

Not yet but I was just thinking of making one today. A 50 site one. So I may do so in the future but also use it as a hydro system. I may use it more as a hydro system because the dome and tray with rooters treat me very well. 100% cloning so far.

You would think i have the way i stay in the lab with them. I go as far as taking them out of there normal rooters and transplanting them to new ones and once i see the leaves getting perkier and greener then i know thats the best rooters to go with. Then im using powder hormones now so i want to see if that stuff really works then ill go with no hormones at all to see if cloning hormones are actually needed. I think its the high temps and high humidity that will get them rooted vs cloning hormones.

Soon ill be getting a humidifier and putting that in a 8 shelf little grow box with propagation trays. That way no dome will be needed. That will be cool.:cheesygrinsmiley:

I decided to make a cloner exactly like the one you're talking about. I went with less sites and different positioning rather than a uniform rectangle. Member 420fied has a nice DIY thread, and I must say it's pretty cheap! I haven't tried it yet, but when plugged in it's just like the $200+ cloners they sell at stores. I have high hopes for it, but then again I've never taken cuttings before so I'm sure I'll be killing a lot before getting it right :laughtwo:. Your journal is very helpful, I'm always creeping and looking at tips and tricks to start learning :).

That's a huge swing on RH. Small cheap deal from wally world's pharmacy section should help. I think Vicks makes one

First I like to say thanks man. I never knew anybody looked at my journal for info :cheesygrinsmiley: I was just talking to GG about being some help to others and influence in growing. But yea, I learn from those ppl. So all credit goes to them really. I just try to keep it simple. But i read alot on the top growers on 420. 2 of them which are in my signature. I have to add Jandre2k3 also hes a awesome help. Him and GG are helping me with breeding. :thumb: Which is by far the most difficult thing to learn. (Fish if you read this shut up lol. im around the right type of women:rofl::rofl:) Oh and might I add everyone that visits my journal actually helps me alot also. These guys were growing before me. I think my best trait on here is I simplify what looks difficult. No need to make things look harder then what it really is ya know. But im happy you look to my journal for info. I have to stop pass your journal and check out your grow. :thumb:

But back to the cloning. Yea I think I seen that guys cloner DIY thread. Good stuff. Yea theres really no need in buying the high price stuff that you can make far less cheaper. I mean we all like to have it but as long as a DIY works then hey why not be proud that you made it and it works. Thats the best part about a DIY. I have alot of DIY things around my grow room. I started out in hydro before soil but IDK why i stopped?:hmmmm: I also want to dabble in a 8 site DWC. That would be cool. I like to try anything and everything new when it comes to growing and pretty much im taking anything that comes my way. Like the unexpected male, well I didnt have it in mind to breed but since I have a male I mine as well breed and learn and have fun doing it. Plus FREE SEEDS!!!!! :thumb:

Its not going to be in my grow room, im going to make an all cloning room. And it will have the humidifier in there with nothing but clones. That way i wont need to use a humidity dome. 8 shelves full of clones that would be great:cheesygrinsmiley: Im going to make one after I breed these 3 plants.

And I seen a good one at Lowes for $30. So ill be get one of those soon.
 
I think you're really going to see a positive reaction to the supercropping you did!
