Wow having such a good Pineapple Express Blue Dream night that I almost forgot that it was 12 years ago today that I had a massive stroke and went into a coma for 5 days and the rest is history. That's a lot of water under that bridge. Cheers peeps.:circle-of-love:

15 minutes ago answered the door much to my surprise seed order is in. 33 seeds in all; 11 pineapple Express, 7 Dark Devil Auto, 5 Royal Gorilla, 5 Tangerine Dream, 3 Alaskan Purple, and 3 white widow that I will give to someone. I do not like white widow. Now wait patiently grasshopper it will soon be germination time. Have a great day peeps.

Awesome you got your seeds!

I’m glad your around to be able to tell that story! Your one hell of a fighter! You will be around many more years to tell that story!:circle-of-love:
Slide there is just something about a new seed order in your hands. I was filling out some medical forms for the umpteenth time GRRR. But looking over some old forms I sometimes forget how serious things were for me at that time. So I have decided to tell my story in a day or so. Going thru that info sure opens your eyes. Have a good day Slide.

Having a great Royal Gorilla kind of day, and here is my story that I promised all of you.

So it is Sunday morning about 6:00 AM January 27 2008, and my alarm goes of and I hit the snooze button and fell back a sleep. My wife says to me are you getting up for work. I said yes and I jumped out of bed and hit the floor. I didn't feel anything different except for the fact that I could not talk very good and my right side was already paralyzed. My wife works in the medical field so she knew what was happening, me not so much. She told me she was calling the ambulance and then I guess I told her I did not need a fuc%&ng ambulance just give me a few minutes and I will get things straightened out. I then tried to grab the closet door handle and pull myself up. I guess it was at this point I slipped into a coma.

Ambulance, fire and police showed up at my place did their thing and took me to the hospital where my wife works. At this point I was on life support and had scans and other things done and the doctor told my wife that I have to be transferred to the Saint John Regional Hospital Neurosurgery but they were not sure I was going to make it and to call my parents and siblings to come and see me just in case. Wifes sister showed up to look after my daughter who was 4 months old at the time. My son said they tried to stick to the ambulance but he said they were hauling ass.

After arriving at neurology ICU where a nurse sat by my bed 24/7 and I had a ton of tubes sticking in and out of me. Later on when people tried to explain it to me I guess I asked if anyone got pictures so I could see what I went through, I guess that was the wrong thing to say people thought I was morbid. I just told them I wanted to see what they saw that's it.

I came out of the coma 5 days later on Thursday not exactly sure when I was moved from ICU to a room but it was not fun. Apparently I came down with what they call Sundown Syndrome so a cage was put over and around my bed and when the sun went down I guess I turned into one miserable bastard. So people left the hospital when that started because I was so mean. I really had no control of this and was sorry.

So I started doing physio and things like that then 11 days after it started I was going back to my home hospital. What a pain in the ass to learn to use a wheel chair after I reached for something off the floor I ended up on the floor. From then On I was required to wear the seat belt. So after 4 days in that hospital I was transferred to the Stan Cassidy Rehabilitation CTR where I worked my ass off until then end of June. You know for a while I actually forget that I smoked but I remembered eventually . You never know how many types of therapy there are until your going to them all. So two years later I finished physio, got my drivers license back, things were looking up.

While home I was told to check out a book called Locked in Locked Out. What an eyeopener this book was. For the longest time no one would tell me what happened to me, maybe little bits and pieces. So my Occupation Therapist retrieved my medical file and it is massive. She showed me what and where and why and holy shit, that is scary stuff 1/2 to 1 cm more and It would have gotten to the brain stem :circle-of-love: :circle-of-love: would be like the person in the book

After coming home for good there was still a lot of appointments therapies operations you name it. But things are better now except for this damn sickness 18 months and counting and getting more pissed as the days go by. Thank you so much to everyone who has taught me to grow so I medicate myself and take less pills. After the stroke I was taking 25 pills a day and a medicine pump. Using the cannabis capsules I am down to three pills a day then to two in 3 months. At the Stan Cassidy Center the engineer there done something pretty amazing for me. The Occupation therapist that explained everything that happened to me asked me if there was anything I used to do that I would like to be able to do again. Half jokingly I said I wish I could play the guitar again. And the rest is history peeps will grab a pic of my two guitars some day soon. There are two of these guitars and I own them both.

Wow CNB! Very touching story. The crazy thing is, it’s not just a “story” it was a reality! I’m super happy you’ve been able to bounce back from the stroke to how far you’ve come along! Your such an inspiration, and your story touches close to home for me. My grandmas sister had a stroke, she was never the same, she’s long been gone now, but I’m terrified of having the same path. I really need to quit smoking! (Cigarettes)

thank you for sharing your story CNB it’s easier to understand what you’ve gone through and what your going through now. I truly hope they can figure out what that sickness is.... I can’t end this with out asking... maybe you’ve come down with the sickness! Lol

have a great day brother!!!

where’s duggs? I expected to see him post well before me! Lol have a great day everyone!!
