I just want to say FANTASTIC SCRUMDIDILYUMPTIOS!!! Holy cow!!! I just finished chopping down one of my plants and was looking for a way to get some hash, I totally wanna try out the Gumby method, thank you so much for posting that video. In my searches tho, the gumby method seems to be the same as "Cold-Filtered" or "Cold Screening", essentially the same thing. The video and your description are dead on.

And if I dont have that much can I essentially do the same thing with a blender instead of the 5 gallon buckets? i have some 20 oz mason jars, i just dont have much trim, but i have kept my bag of leaves so i'd probably use that too. I do have 2 extra 5 gallon buckets but was planning on using them soon. I am totally willing to wait on that if the 5 gallon buckets are easiest, how much ice per 5 gallon bucket 1 gallon per enough, im assuming just to get the water around 32 degrees.
Otherwise I was gonna do the Isopropyl Alchohol method. My logic tells me dealing with fewer chemicals keeps my Hash more pure.
Again, fantastic job, i can see that like myself alot of others have enjoyed the grow.

That ball looks like the finger-pressed temple ball hash a friend of mine up in Northern California makes.

I love everything about hash.

Started this thread last night and just finished (yes I slept). Outstanding stuff, and right on time. I had just decided to get an AeroFlo2, and this just makes me more sure it was the right decision. Also, I never cared for hash, but then that was when I was buying, not growing, so I'm definitely going to try out your method when/if the time comes. Thanks for the great thread, 420.

What you're really saying, is that your life needs some pizzazz and you want to be a badass martial arts dude, and it's a good thing you came across this thread because now you've got some awesome ideas on how to really bust heads and you're going out to buy some numchucks right this fuckin second so you can get to stylin.

hey 420...Damn, 63 pages later and I'm finally here! Kinda like gettin to Woodstock the day after everyone went home. LOL What can I say that everyone hasnt already? I really appreciate the kind words everyone. My hope was that everyone would find something that they could take away from this journal and I think for the most part, that it's happened. We ended up with a little of everything.... an indoor aero scrog, an outdoor grow, and some hash! It's been a good time. I'm going to sit down tomorrow and write a final summary to close it out.

Final Summary


Hey guys and gals,

It's been a GREAT year. I've really enjoyed the experience of running a journal on this site. This community is top-notch. Let's summarize the journal, shall we?


Strain grown - Snow White (NLxCinderella)

1. Indoor aero scrog - 9 plants netted 762 grams or 27.214 ounces. That's 3.036 ounces per plant. I wish I had made Hash on this run as it would have been incredible.

2. Outdoor grow - 2 plants netted approx 252 grams or 9 ounces. That's 4.5 ounces per plant. I dealt with a mold issue that cost me the majority of 1 plant. I made hash off of this grow.

3. Gumby Hash - Although not completely dry, the ball weighs 16 grams today. I can't wait to try it.


That's 36 ounces of a nice F1 Hybrid and 1/2 ounce of what hopefully is some great hash.


Smoke report - The smoke is a very nice pine/spicy aftertaste like much like Power Plant. The high is a nice mix of cerebral high and body stone. I've had better and I've had much worse. Every friend that has tried it has given it 5 stars but with all of the Schwag garbage floating around here, these folks really don't know what good Marijuana is.

Overall, I give it these marks:

Yield - 7
Smoke - 8


I'm sorry that I can't give a smoke report on the hash yet as it has a day or so left to dry. I'll make a post about it when I do.

I'll journal again in the future(when I start a new strain) and I'll be around the forums. This is home.

I'd like to thank EVERYONE that had any input/feedback in this journal. I hope that all of you took something away that helps you in the future. You are a wonderful community.
