420fied nice healthy white roots, something you cant do in soil. I was thinking if you had room for another aero system side by side you could eliminate having a mother plant and just continuously take clones during the vegy cycle and then you would have a perpetual cycle of plants but Im just a newbie so I could be wrong. Whats the distance from your plants to your 600 watt light? Also have you thought about using Co2during flowering to help boost your yield?

The 600 watter is 40 inches from the clones. I kept the 600 off while the clones rooted and used a single 42 watt CFL 5 feet above the clones. Clones don't need much light to root. At the end of this week I'll lower it to 24 inches.

I've thought/read about c02 and I know it would increase my yield, I just havent messed with it.

I'm amazed at how quickly they are growing. Astonished actually. These clones didnt even pop roots until the 10th. In 10 days they have exploded. If I chose not to scrog these, I'd have to start flowering them within the next week to keep them at 36 inches when finished. My veg time without the scrog net would literally be 15 days, which amazes me.


I just turned the 600 off and took a nice color shot of them. They certainly don't look like clones anymore. They are turning into little bushes. I love their color. I couldnt be happier than I am at this point for this grow. I can't believe 3 or 4 of the largest clones are pushing 9 inches already.

I am in my first grow now and thinking of getting a system like your as soon as I have the $$... I like the results you are getting with it. How easy is it to grow with this system and would you recommend it to a new grower or should I wait till I have a few grows under my belt?

Expect to have 1200 to 1400 in your setup(if it's like mine) without the lights. It's easier to grow this way than it is with soil and here's why:

With soil it's impossible to track PH and PPM, especially if you're using city water which sits at 200 PPM before adding anything. Once you get the basics down I would encourage you to try this. You'll never go back.

I started with a hydro set up, in January, and this was my first grow of any kind. Thought I knew a hell of allot about growing, shit when it came to the hydro, I knew nothing. We have invested about $ 15,000 into the system that we have, and I am now growing in soil. Ha ha ha. I had nothing but problems, at first, but once you get it worked out, there is no going back, you are right, when you can Bud every 6 to 7 weeks it helps the cause, whatever that may be. Working on new shop set up as we speak . We have 3seperate rooms right now and I am trying to figure out what is the best layout, the shop is 22 x 32 x 8 foot ceilings. Fully wired all 100% legal. I have 18 ballast and loads of lights, and pump ops and well basically the whole shebang. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

I built and placed the 4x5 scrog net this morning.

I left 14 inches of space between the tubes and the net so I can get in there and work if I need to

The Chicken Wire has the 2 inch mesh. There's room for exactly 660 colas on this net.

I'm foaming at the mouth!
