re: 480W & 720W Grow LED Hydro - Land Of Clovers
ya the Roots organic soil is said to have allot of perlite and drain good, but i always throw a layer of perlite in the bottom on every grow. this last grow all i had was the fine perlite and i hat that stuff, about to get the chunky tomorrow. going to also mix perlite into the top 2-4 inches on the soil to help it not compact and keep the soil from shrinking, plus the top of the roots like to breath more then the feeder roots. everysingle person talk real high about the Roots soil, plus their enough food to last for veg so it save money on that. then i will feed them bontea threw veg and flower and also some Mycorrhizae in the transplant hole and also feed them some mixed into my feedings. going with the Age old Mycorrhiza, bountea, budswell, and General organic bio-thrive bloom, and their organic Cal/Nag, and green fuse. of course not all at once just threw out flowering. need to use up some stuff before it goes bad. the micro life is going to be strong and make some killer roots to suck up the bloom stuff fast. i really like the budswell and green fuse. that bontea is good stuff and foams up huge with micro life and my buddy has their bloom booster they make to mix in with the tea, so its all free for me. not sure if mike will get out those new lights for this grow? but i am cool either way because i like my two old school 300's and i will just throw one of my (2011) 240w GLH light in the middle and their will be 6 plants all Casey Jones fully organic..

looking good irish
Yes bigger pots are better with organic soil.I think organic soil used in a planter has les drainage. Not sure if the soil you are getting is mixed to drain well right out of the bag.If I were using organic soil I would mix it so that it can breath and maybe throw some big rocks or a layer of chunky pearlight at the bottom.lol may be overboard but I notice you put a lot of attention like this in your hempys and your grows are always great.
