420's Soil Ppm Charlie Grow Journal, 9/2021

Yes, @Rexer , and @Renaissance Man I know you both are totally OCD regarding..."the hair thing". The whole Ammy jr "shirt fuzz or cat hair" controversy question.

And...yes, there are at least two hairs on the bird skin.

Are they feather hairs (?),

or,

CAATTT!!! hairs (?),

or,

merely photo-shopped there to tweak your mania and make you grab for that 3/4 doob...puff, puff, puff...while you shake your head fixated on the "bird-fuzz" screen-gem follicle photo - mumbling, "damn...?".

I know it causes @Krissi1982 to want to reach out and try to pick them off the screen I am sure she would place them on the shoulder of Ammy, jr - a hair-born spartan wreath of victory over death...LOL!

The Mystery, The Majesty, The Magic.

Only the shadow knows...or the stinkin CAATTT!!! (?).

ppm Charlie.
Well I need that fuzziness to cover up the areas where the cat marauder failed to spray paint with full coverage!!! He is young, I imagine, still learning the ins and outs of deception based psychology...he was a drop out sophomore year at Cornell where oddly enough, he majored in botanical sciences.

This beautiful and purposefully feathered turkey is a mere "hey look over this way" while he/she sneaks around the back corner with that stolen bottle of spray paint....

I think you were swindled by the "Cat Marauder" if you paid for full-price wall-to-wall coverage and got THAT Ammy jr paint job. Tsk, tsk...MEOW! @Krissi1982

LOL!

Botanical sciences, you say...? Sneaky hoodlum-fingered lout!

I've given up the spray can...I am currently residing in a Christmas spray paint rehab clinic in the Islands.

You know those Island doctors can work wonders to free one of the addiction to the "caann-ga" (...bad one!).

Where do you come up with this stuff!!! Omg you make my tummy hurt and my cheeks!!! What was your college major, Charlie?

News from the Flowering Tent - Part I

It is now Day-49 (6 weeks + 5 days) of flowering. Three Northern Lights (NL) and four Fruity Pebbles (FP). Environmental conditions and @Maxsisun lighting are nearly the same as my past flowering tent post.

I have started to cut back on the nutes for the NL according to the General Hydroponics (GH) aggressive feed schedule. In my last post, I reasoned that the NL's realistically are probably an 8-week flowering schedule. I maintain that view. By my calculation they are just into late bloom at Day-49. I imagine I will starting to flush the NL’s in a week to ten days.

In my last post, I indicated that the FP's realistically were probably on a 10-to-12-week flowering schedule based on their higher degree of sativa trait (NL=95% indica while FP=55% indica %, 45% sativa). However, I have possibly changed my view on two of the four FP’s. Two FP seems to be ripening early and may be more like 8-weeks, like the NL’s. These two “early” FP’s are seemingly even further along than the three NL’s by their hair morphology and trichome development. Based on the available literature, the FP should be at approximately mid-late-bloom. I believe two of the FP are at mid-late-bloom and two are at late bloom. Based on the changes in the hair morphology and trichome development over the next week, I may begin flushing the two ripening FP’s within the next ten days.

You can judge for yourself by the photos below. I would be most happy for opinions on the ripening two FP pictured below. I know the pics are not that good as closeups, but I am working with what I have on hand currently. Please let me know what you think the schedule should be for flush and harvest for the two advanced FP’s below. The FP pics below are from the two early ripeners. The NL most advanced bloomer pics are shown in the next post entry.

Now for your Sunday night Christmas-fest, the flowering tent pictures.

Hiya Charlie...you know part of team no flush now but I would Guesstimate the same on time...only way to really know for me is trichomes but like I said, looking to be on schedule...they look to be around Gs age maybe a week or so younger developmentally so week 6 maybe imo

Hey Charlie!

I don't flush- i feed em their last meal on their last day. This also allows me to reassess if I'm going to harvest or allow them to continue to ripen.

I see a lot of white pistils still, I'd continue feeding and let her ripen if she was mine. Then again it could just be me, see what everyone says then you get the fun job.

I'd also be proud and happy, cause wow - thats trichome city :bravo:

Thanks @Rexer ! I haven't grown to harvest in 20-years and this is my first grow since then. In the "old" days we flushed. Now, I guess people don't flush, based on what you and @Krissi1982 recommend. I will take your and Krissi's kind advice and feed em to the end.

I agree still at least, 50% white pistils on the advanced FP. Probably 70-80% white pistils on the NL's and non-advanced FP. I am trying to be on top of things, looking and comparing individuals of the same clan. They are getting to the stage where decision making will be necessary soon. They change overnight sometimes. Significantly. I hate to go to all this work miss the opportune window of 420 mind-bliss. The FP smell so very good, and resinous to each time I brush one with my hand, a "powerful gud stunk".

Yes, there are significant trichomes on the advanced FP. Wish I had a better magnifier. I ordered one for the PC - software was buggy and sent it back. A different one I ordered, LED light would not work - sent it back. I hope this third one I ordered the other day is a success. Awaiting delivery. I have a hand lens but it is difficult to get oriented and stable for trichome comparisons. These ole hands don't cooperate as well as they used to. Shiny little buggers on some of the older buds though - I must have done something right. Thanks again, @Rexer ! Advice taken...

I can see the many trichs...what are they looking like maturation wise? I've been going off Rex's suggestion to go by calyx trichomes rather than flower or leaves.

Calyx trichome pictures from today for the most advanced stage Fruity Pebbles. Opinions (?): @Rexer and @Krissi1982 & @Bill284

Opinions welcome. Many trichomes still clear but "mushroom" headed.

I'd say it's got a bit. There are still quite a few clear as you said. But @Bill284 Could probably make a better call.
Can you show a picture of the plant?
