Bummer Bear. think of it as a science experiment and look at all you learned. It'll go better next time because You'll be better prepared.

Sorry you had to lose all the little ones. Here's hoping you can make it to the finish line with the bloomers.

havent posted much lately but lots going on in the land of Dr. Bearkenstein. I have tore down and rebuilt the grow room 3 times and think I have the framing done now. Now have a flower room of 4x7.5 and a veg room of 6x7.5 ( more Plants in veg and window for vent and a/c vent in flower room) Am still looking into getting a used window a/c for the flower still if I have to.Ty Sweet Sue for the idea of turning my old veg closet into a seedling area and switching to a 11/13 time sched. . The Plants are hanging in there but i havent been able to use the 600w till today so they have been 3 days just under room and sunlight for their light periods Hopefully that wont screw em up to bad. On the first I will be able to get the wall board I am gonna be using. Question here does it matter if the window is open during light hrs?Was gonna go with a air scrubber but since I am on the second floor i am venting out the window now instead of back into office. Am thinking of building a box that is vented with my 2 160 cfms to help with heat ( never realized how much heat the ballast puts out). Dont know how much differance it will make but i am gonna hang my fans right under the lights like they were air cooled instead of at top of room am also thinking of just spending the 90.00 and get a air cooled hood and just add my stuff to it but that is down the line. well there is the update for today

Cooltubes are $48 with free shipping on ebay... Just saying. You should really set down and draw out what you want to accomplish and figure up what you will need... For a 4x4x8 room all you need is one cool tube and a 440 CFM inline fan... Duct it out the room and u have your temps under control. No need for all that intake fans and all that.... And of course maintain the temps. Good luck

Measure 6x, build 3x - hope you are having a good time.

Open window just means a pathway for warm/cool outside air and bugs.

Personally, I demand a bug screen.
there is a screen in the window:thumb:

Well Here it is 12:19 am just got out of shower having a bowl and listening to early Bee Gee's. Lots done in room today got plastic laid to protect carpet( note to friends remember to cut out a/c vent I didnt). everybody got a drench of budda grow and budda bloom. Everybody got hair cuts. Received 2 bubba kush x blue dream Plants in late flower stage harvested one and took all the buds off the other and letting the top finish off.Did a bud wash on all buds and have them drying in front of the fan. Guys if you dont do a bud wash I highly recommend it. Easy to do here is the process
NEEDED
4 5gal buckets
1 cup lemon juice
1 cup baking soda

fill 4 buckets 3/4 full. add water to bucket #2 dunk buds into bucket one and swish for 30 secs then dip into bucket with lemon juice/baking soda and swish for 30 secs repeat in bucket 3 and 4

I was amazed at all the dirt and bugs and what not that came out and I can imagine what I couldnt see. Couldnt resist the temptation of trying the bud before curing and if it was this good uncured wonder what it will be like when properly dried and cured

Shopping List For The First

Just a thought. Instead of wallboard could you use MDF?
Where I live it's cheaper, stronger, drillable, and lighter weight.

For really light weight, I used foam insulation panels in my flower room, but they are very weak. I keep thinking I'll accidentally lean and push my hand through the wall.
when I say wall board i am refering to the foiled insulation

Hey Bear!

Your girls look great! Sorry I've been distant over the last few weeks. I've been crazy distracted and haven't been able to visit everyone's journal. This is going to end now. I'm here and you have my undivided attention.

Pammy is absolutely breath taking! I can't believe how far she's come! I'm proud of you for sticking her out and learning a thing or two. I'm flattered to know I was able to motivate you to hang onto her!

I think your renovations were a must. And props to you for diving right in and getting er done. Renovations to the grow room was a major game changer for me. It helped bring temperatures into a manageable range, allowed for me to be able to move freely around my plants and gave me peace of mind knowing that my girls were happier and healthier. That's where I thank this magazine and the knowledgeable people that work together to help each other out. I would still be using miracle grow and growing in a cramped closet if it wasn't for this place.

You have a great attitude and a determination to succeed that I admire about you, don't stop! You've become a valuable member around here and I've taken pleasure in your acquaintance. Can't wait to see where you go from here!

Cheers, Holmes!

anyone have any experience with those strains?

I know nivek grew Afghanis and I believe he ran delahaze as well. You might want to pull up his completed journal. I'm growing three Afghanis myself this cycle, so I'll be a month or more ahead of you.
