Hi :420: and all members,

This is my first Journal and will do my best to keep you up to date. We started to set up everything in October, by the end of October everything was set and ready. We got our first clones on the first week of November, girl scout cookies, Gorilla glue no 4 and train wreck. 2 weeks after, we got more clones of Larry og and Sfv og. We got 4 lec lights of 630 w and 2 of 315 w, 4 ac, 4 fans, an air exhauster, desahumidifier, 2 co2 tanks, got pure blue h20 water filter. PH up and pH down, all the right nutrients, aqua flakes A and B, drip clean, root excelurtor, silica, humic acid, Cal mag, great white, multi zen and algen extract. Got 5 res for our 5 strains and buckets for the plants. When the plants are given the right environment they will glow and flourish beautifully. Always make sure the room temperature is between 62 and 72 fahrenheit, make sure that the pH level sticks between 5.6 and 6.3 it's very important so the plants can absorb the nutrients. Make sure the res temperature stays between 62-72 fahrenheit . That's it for now, gona take more pictures and videos and share my experience with you guys. Time to go back to work in the garden and have a nice day everyone :thumb::volcano-smiley::thanks:

re: 420mamakush's 1st Journal & 1st Time DWC

Hi and thank you for your post. I had to edit my post cause the auto correct wrote humidifier instead of desahumidifier :geek: I use bubbleponic system :thumb:

re: 420Mamakush's 1st Journal & 1st Time DWC

Hi mamakush i love your setup I'm going sit back quietly and learn a few things thumbs-up

Sent from my SM-N910G using 420 Magazine Mobile App

My husband went to Costco and bought the RO system there for about $250ish... Its a 50gpd system... This system provides an excellent H20 source to handle all of the garden needs.....

Although RO H20 is ideal, there are lots of growers out there that use straight "tap water"..... There are nutrients out there that are specifically made for "Tap" water if RO system is not in the budget... If you really need RO H20, get it from a vending machine that's usually located in front of many markets and convenience stores... 5 gallons would cost you from the machine about $1.25 @ .25 cents a gallon..

Our ideology in our garden is to provide the best support system for the babies to thrive.

Maintaining the right temperatures, humidity, nutrient mixes, PH's, light spectrum, Co2 injection, and keeping the room clean and free from pest... Having your grow room dialed in is paramount.. This will always provide a happy medium for the plants to get hella prolific.. This will also make it easier to diagnose any problems that could occur.

Keep things in the room KISS..
Keep
It
Simple
Stupid

When things in the room are simplified, it makes everything else flow right.. This is literally our first time utilizing DWC, and because of prior grow experience, intense research, vigilance, and investing the time and money to get the right gear, this operation will produce some beautiful flower and medicine.

For example, as you can see in the pictures that the reservoirs were originally the 27gal storage containers. On the original setup, having large reservoirs made it difficult to maneuver inside the garden with plants, water, and air lines in the way.

The solution was to keep the reservoirs closer to the sink and re-plum all the air and water lines into a smaller 8 gallon reservoir. Each reservoir would provide nutrients for 8-10 plants. Additionally, we installed wooden planks elevated above the floor. This would also allow for any tubing to not be binded or pinched when walking through the garden. Having all the reservoirs facing close to the sink made it easy to do nutrient changes. It also made it easier to inspect each system in the garden. 3 things we saved.. Water, space and time..

We also topped and FIM'd the babies several week ago to promulgate more growth, increase flower sites, thus increasing yield.. The topping and FIMing worked because I have multiplied my flower sites....

Added a 2nd level of trellising to the mix. This will help with controlling the pitch of the flowering

Light Rail system

Light Rails work

We are running LEC 630 and LEC 315.. The LEC lights are awesome in comparison the HPS. They provide full light spectrum required to grow. Significantly more efficient bulbs, way more cooler, and cost effective.. You can Veg and Bloom with the same bulbs!!!!

Beautiful set up!! That's like a dream come true. I am sure it was very expensive. But I am sure it will pay off in the end. I just ordered a 315w LEC CMH 4100k bulb. Mine is air cooled, made by sunsystem. Do you like your LEC CMH light? How are they for flowering? And do you think 1000 watt HPS and 315 LEC will be a good combo for flowering? I have some tents that are the same size that I plan on getting double zipper and marrying them and using the whole space. It's a 5*5*7 and a 5*3*7 so they should match up great and give me a 10*8*7 foot room with a 1000watt super-lux bulb air cooled and a 315 LEC air cooled. I am super excited for this new light! I hope I get great results. I paid ALOT for another set up

:thanks: Bignugz. Yes it was expensive, but like you said it will pay off eventually. Thanks to my husband who had invest a lots on this, he also have over 10 years of experience has indoor and outdoor growing . I appreciate everything I am learning from him. He also believe that lec lights are the best, there is a link that gives you all the details on LEC lights ---> LEC 315 Light Emitting Ceramic Fixture | Way to Grow

BUD XL now in the mix and enjoying the last stages of the plant cycles.. These ladies are looking lovely and are not even fully grown

I got the new air cooled hood, i was worried about too much heat. But i am gonna marry a 5×5×7 @5×3×7 tents and use air cooled hps and air cooled lec

Controlling the temp is so critical.. The air cooled hoods will provide a perfect environment if your A/C can support room size. My husband has grown in tents in the past. The only issue he had with the tents was the height. The great thing about tents is cover and concealment. The tents are completely closed off and easy to control. If you need to get to a spot, you just unzip the sides and go to work. Marrying tents together sounds very ingenious and will provide a great place for your babies to grow....

Thank you. Its gonna,be 10×8×7 ft and hps 1000 Super-lux bulb, and the lec both air cooled. I'll have 2 suspended carbon filters and one scrubber on the floor. Fan speed controller for two suspended. And dwc buckets for the full footprint. And my fans for air circulation and air pumps for all buckets have all.i.need now for a great set up. Even room for a a/c if needs or heater if needed
