i have had very similar issues in the past,, usually after spraying the plants with something,, i had been using a urine spray,, diluted of course, at the time,, i thot it was that,, but i don't think it was that anymore,, perhaps spraying for bugs,, perhaps even spraying with a spray with the ph way off.

but what happens,, this affect seems to happen to the tiniest of leaves in the leaf cluster at the top of branches,, the smallest leaves in the center perhaps get 'stuck' in some goo of somekind,, spray accumulation or similar,, a concentration of chemicals right there of something.

causes it to kinda stop growing one side, cuz it's 'stuck'.
