420 Magazine's Official Girl Scout Cookies Comparative Grow

I'd love to do this but I am not on your lots levels haha I have the space in attic tent but not enough experience only had 4 grows so far maybe next year
get in it matey. you will easily keep up and if you repeat what others are doing with success, you will surprise yourself. comparative grows don't become pissing contests here thankfully. It is about the different methods creating different outcomes ect and we all have our strengths and potential new skills to gain. I learn stuff every grow still and I am decades into this fun. gsc is a great strain to run too. rollnupntjem sleeves and get yourself in it mate. I would happily tag along too. With Emilya on board too( our own 420 green godess ) , it will be a great way to accelerate your learning with very little trial and error. Most of us here would still be using T5 bulbs and waiting any months for a harvest window if we didn't help each other and experiment along the way. F.i.m was no doubt discovered this way along with stem splitting , topping and many other methods that will be employed to join in the fun. Good luck and never hold back here.

@Ljb1 Just remember "The Little Engine that Could" I THINK I CAN, I THINK I CAN, I THINK I CAN! You can do it man!

Weed Seeds Express will provide you with some surefire seeds and you have the whole 420 family to fall back on if you need help.

I'm in you guys are to nice I'm always willing to learn and this community I love it :) I do try to journal every day to I can plant straight away just got to put back up which takes hour to do consider me if you like

My tent will be open in a couple of weeks. I'm close to finishing a RQS Royal Cookies. HID lights. I don't typically post into my journals daily, but I could try to do more frequent updates for this.

Did I hear stem splitting?! I did this back in 2018 haha. At the time people never heard of it, cool to hear someone talk of it now!

This is going to be a hoot! I can imagine the comments already... "Has Em transplanted out of those silly solo cups yet?" "Nope, I think she intends to bloom in those cups, but look at those plants go!" It is going to be a lot of fun and very instructive to be able to compare our various grow methods against each other! I hope we all learn a lot from each other during this amazing project! Watering the edges, for the win!

I would like to be considered for the comparative grow if at all possible. As for the lighting, I don't have a sponsors light anymore but I do have a floodlight which I will use. That's not a grow light at all so it shouldn't be a problem. I can start straight away as I have a tent available in a couple weeks.

My seeds we're just shipped. Oh yeah baby!! I'm on it lady's and gentlemen all my fellow stoners. This is so freaking awesome. I'm truly excited. :thanks::goodluck:

Hi everybody!

I'm happy to see everybody is so excited about growing our Girl Scout Cookies photoperiod strain. It's a beautiful hybrid strain (OG Kush and Durban Poison). We're really looking forward to seeing this genetics flourish in your grows.

If you're up for it, let us know in this thread! :yahoo: :cheer:

Cheers,

David
Hey @Weed Seeds Express ! First off, thank you for sponsoring something like this for the 420Mag community. I would like to be considered for this opportunity. I will be growing other photos outdoors and I also have a nice indoor grow setup that I have not used yet. The past two seasons have been tougher than expected. It would be a good gamble on your part to see how your genetics hold up with an inexperienced grower!

Previous journals in my signature. Thanks gir the consideration.

I find this concept of a comparative grow intriguing because it would be interesting to compare my pragmatic, not minimalistic, stripped-down grow system to those who employ every gadget and additive available.

I thought I was a minimalist grower, but several people over time have pointed out that things like my Mega Light etc., are anything but minimalistic, so I came to realize I’m not a minimalistic grower instead I’m a pragmatic grower. D'oh!

prag·ma·tist/praɡmədəst/noun

1.a person who is guided more by practical considerations than by ideals.

2.PHILOSOPHY -an advocate of the approach that evaluates theories or beliefs in terms of the success of their practical application.

The consensus on this site seems to be that to grow cannabis, one needs a tent with charcoal filters and fans and multipart nutrient systems etc. My approach over the last couple of years on this site has been to try to eliminate anything superfluous, and I have found that just about everything is precisely that. I use the cheapest one-part nute I can find, the cheapest medium, I don’t adjust my water pH, I don’t use any fans, I don’t water enough to ever get any runoff, I never flush, I don’t have a tent, or charcoal filters, etc.

I think it would be intriguing to put my simple system up against more complex, costly systems and see if they are worth the price and hassle. I’m curious myself, which is why I would like to be part of the comparative grow.

I also enjoy making a nice journal. Have a look at my latest post in my current journal.

Maybe after this comparative grow we can have a 420 sponsored Keurig cup challenge with the CEO judging the prettiest plant?

I would definitely be interested in participating in the sponsored GSC grow, but need to know timing to finish and dry my current grow. Links in my signature to my five grows for reference. Point of clarification on the light. Can I use my CMH315 since it’s not an LED or would I need to use a sponsored LED?
Same question here this only for ppl in NA and using LEDs

Definitely interested in getting in on this! I grew a gsc a few runs back, and she was so tasty! Would love an excuse to throw back to those days!

My one big perpetual Journal is linked in my sig, and I've been a little busy the last few weeks to keep it as up to date as usual, but I'll take this as an excuse to start back up! ;D haha we've just cut down the outdoor ladies as it's getting nice and cold, so our plant responsibilities have eased up! I do have a non-sponsor LED in my tents, but am happy to omit any pics/comments as I don't tend to focus on equipment anyway. All about the soil, babyyy!

Would be nice if you could post who won entry to the contest and links to the journals... sometimes hard for us noobs to find things :laughtwo:

I've still not completed my first journal and am completely swamped ATM with hundreds of seeds to go through so I'm definitely not one to consider. Love to tag along and look at the pretty pictures though :thanks:

Not sure if this is still open, but I would love the opportunity!

Thanks for your consideration
