Bloom, Day 2
Geoflora Feed, Day 8
Wet/Dry Cycle, Day 2
2 Days since last SNS Foliar, SNS 209 given on each watering

Length of Grow: 10 weeks, 4 days

Tonight the girls look absolutely amazing. Even though things looked packed a little tight as I stuffed them into the cages, a little bit of time was all they needed to stretch and widen out. Tonight it is clear that they are not only flowering, but they are ready to bloom and are already stretching into their final shape. Each plant has determined that it has 3 main kolas, and those three on each plant are clearly seizing dominance and showing us where the top of the canopy is going to be.

There really wasn't anything to do today except let the system work. As we now convert over to bloom mode but still on VEG nutrients, careful scrutiny was given to looking for signs of deficiencies or bug damage of any kind... nothing was found. These plants are deliriously happy.

Here is the money shot... the picture of the room of beautiful babes:

Also, it might be just me, but I find your colour-coded titles harder to read now that they're spaced the way they are currently. :battingeyelashes:
Hey there, my trusted fashion consultant....What do you think of today's format, all the same size and all? I think this is my favorite so far and gets a lot of crucial info right out there quickly, without taking over the screen

Em your money shots would have me broke in minutes. And your plants look overjoyed with happiness.

Bloom, Day 4
Geoflora Feed, Day 10
Wet/Dry Cycle, Day 4
4 Days since last SNS Foliar, SNS 209 given on each watering

Length of Grow: 10 weeks, 6 days

Thank you for all the great compliments as they are greatly appreciated. Things are going fairly well this time, but I can only credit our great sponsors for making this all happen. The bugs are practically gone, thanks to the SNS. They all got great starts thanks to the strong genetics, the Dynomyco and the soil starter. And the @GeoFlora Nutrients have been preforming wonderfully, not to mention the awesome Nextlight MEGA.

Great news today as I can report that the plants all needed to be watered, confirming that we are back to a 4 day wet/dry cycle, and still dropping... we still have some stretch to go yet before those roots stop reaching. Feeding day is in 4 more days, so I can be pretty sure that we will be watering again on a 4 day cycle, even if they mostly dry out this time in only 3.

As I searched for signs of bugs and deficiencies, I ran into one plant... one branch of that one plant, showing something odd. I don't know what it is yet, but tomorrow when I spray again, I am probably going to chop it out of there because oddly there was some sort of damage all up and down that branch in various spots, like it maybe was damaged as it was stuffed in the cage... maybe it is something more sinister. I will keep one eye on it and watch for it to spread.

Other than that, the plants all look great and they are using a ridiculous amount of water. I had a little mini scare this evening when I walked up the stairs and found the fan not working that was blowing air from the house air-conditioning register, directly into the room. I quickly replaced the fan, but the thermometer in the bloom room read 102°.

Here was the reaction in the room to the heat... it doesn't look like they minded it a bit.

Every one of the plants has grown several inches in the last 2 days. Things will get back to normal soon, especially when the night air input fan comes on later... but this is a testament as to how tough these plants are on one of the hottest days yet this summer here in Missouri.

Lastly, the buds. There can be no doubt now that we are in full bloom. We have little budlets everywhere!

Looks great as usual. That leaf you mentioned looks to me like it’s been folded. As you said, stuffed in a cage. Fold another in half with a chip clip and see what happens…
I will put a chip clip on one this afternoon and we will see what the reaction is in a few days! I'm thinking that at one point this branch might have been stuffed up against the mylar on the wall for a few days as I shuffle the plants around the room, usually on watering days. I have seen this pattern on a leaf before, but back then there were so many things it could have been so I went first to nutrition... I'm just not certain this time that nutrition has anything to do with it, not on one branch on one plant. I did note however that this plant was sitting in the hottest PAR zone under the light, so if any of them were to lack of something, it would have been one of those center plants. I will know more this afternoon when I do a forensic audit on that one branch to try to get to the bottom of where the shenanigans' started. :hmmmm::nerd-with-glasses::cool:

I have a quick question about your watering habits with your organic soil mix. Do you water to runoff or merely moisten the soil thoroughly when you water.

I know you have stated watering habits in the past but wanted confirmation on exactly how you go about watering your "organic" mixes.

Thanks in advance... plants are looking bang on girl get ready for a harvest to remember.

Good question @Diatomacious, thank you! I water to runoff, unless I am doing an inbetween watering when I am only giving a little bit around the outside edge of the container. This happens in the beginning once, and once after each uppotting, when the wet/dry cycle goes over 4 days.

When I water to runoff, to about an inch in the runoff trays, I stop. A half hour later, I have been known to go in and water a second time to runoff, after the plants have sucked up all the water in the tray from the first round. I also don't worry about elevating my grow bags as some do, because I want that close contact with the runoff water so that the plants can clean that up for me and I don't have stagnant water sitting around in the grow room. Lastly, it doesn't matter what type of soil I am running... I water them all the same.

Everyone is still stretching, getting noticeably taller each day. Today the height on some of the tallest ones are around 42" from the top of the soil, and about 18" from the light, which is just about optimal for the NextLIght MEGA.

I didn't spray yet today because it is too hot and I was lazy. Cooler days are coming after tonight... we will do it then. I can afford this luxury because the bugs have pretty much been wiped out with the constant 209 in the soil and occasionally serious sprayings of the flyers.

Here are today's pictures, with my typical spread... room, plants and buds

Very interesting, thank you. So you water to runoff but there is no drain to waste. I guess that's what I was really after was do you water to runoff and then drain that runoff to waste.

Plants look great, I'm envious as I prefer organic to chemical myself. Have to change your avatar to Gorgeous Green Girl. ;)

I have been doing this sort of. I water to runoff with my bags not elevated, I then go back and elevate again after they have sucked up the water. Extra work I know. on/off on/off. I'm just getting ready to elevate again now. I average roughly 2 liters a plant, 5 gal each water, 3 days.

Once again I held off on the foliar application of the SNS PC product, mainly because storms moved into the area, the temperature plummeted and the evaporation rate fell off to next to nothing. I was afraid to leave the plants wet as the lights went out under these conditions. Even with a strong fan moving air in there, I am not going to risk mold or mildew in areas where the fan can't get to, sitting there in the dark and with nowhere for the moisture to go. The bugs are hardly an issue at the moment, and it is not worth the risk.

So today I added some more supports to a few of the cages and I note that we may be seeing the end of stretch approaching. The plants that had gotten to the very top of the cages, 18" away from the light, stayed there. Several of the other plants have gotten nearly to this height, and they are slowing down too. We may have found the canopy height as we near budset and that height is very close to double the height they were at flip.

I forgot to do the chip clip yesterday, but I did get one installed today to see if we can recreate the damage seen on this one branch. One node down from the top bud on that branch, similar damage is seen, and since it is a minor branch anyway, this evening I cut it out of there. We will see soon if the clipped leaf, neatly folded in the middle longways and held by the clip, shows similar damage in a few days.

DSCF9649.JPG
DSCF9639.JPG

No other similarly damaged leaves can be found anywhere in the room. We are 2 days away from feeding, and I do see a little bit of color change in some of the lower fans around the room, and one leaf is showing what looks like a magnesium deficiency, but one leaf on one plant does not get me excited enough to react. I only gave calmag one time, right at the end of veg based on that leaf, and have not given it again, since everyone still looks great. We may see some more complaints in the next couple of days, but again, knowing that they have to now be craving bloom nutes, this is not surprising... and very soon they will have the bloom formula that they are going to need, just in time, I might add.

It is my belief that the veg formula has given the plants the nitrogen that they needed for new growth, and the massive amount of buds we see, not just at the top of the canopy, but all down the branches down deep into the canopy were able to be developed because the plants had what they needed to do so. Now that we have lots and lots of buds set in place and just now really starting to bloom hard, the bloom nutes are going to cause an explosion of growth in these buds. I fully expect to see awesomeness in the next couple of weeks.

Here are some of the buds, so we can continue to watch the daily development:

Looking at some of the other buds around the comparative grows, I am really liking the hard chunky buds that some are producing from this plant and I suspect some of our group are doing backbuilding cuts at the 5 week point to make this happen. I will be looking for the time to do this also and I do plan to backbuild most of the main buds in the room when it is time.
