They are looking awesome as always! I just picked up a cam that was going to go in the tent. Set it up to watch my front door as a test and now I can't get myself to move it into the tent. I need to order another one...

I like when I find members that are bad influences on the community's overall spending habits.

Hello Growers

I thought the ladies were growing fast before but it seems like they are really taking off now. The only thing I did last night was rotate the plants to get more even light.

Today's Photos:

They are just about 6" high. I may flip before they get to 12" inches.

They do love to be rotated! looking good!
A lightbulb went off after reading one of your last posts.

There was another big change when I rotated them. Since I drain to waste I have the plants in a reservoir than has a slope. This was causing the water to concentrate on the low side of each of the air pots. When rotating the pot it allowed water to go to the area that was dryer. My reading in the Data post below will elaborate a bit.

Today's Data: Nutrient Solution input 1550 ppm. (1020 ppm nutrients) Ph 6.3

#1 1150 ml in, 175 ml out (15%) 1726 ppm
#2 1050 ml in, 130 ml out (12%) 1445 ppm

Because of the slope in the reservoir (which is sloping the plant containers as well) rotating the pots last night allowed water to flow through the normally high side of the container which was dryer. This resulted in additional solution being required to get a 10% to 20% runoff. About 40% extra on average. The runoff ppm was also higher due to salts being flushed from areas not normally getting the the same amount of water.

I will keep it this way for a few days then rotate every other day or so.

I have both on their own Lazy Susan so I can turn them easily but the drain in the drip pan is just on one side. I need to drill another hole on the other side so I can rotate them and only the low hole would drain.

Brett Blaze, I’m finally caught up on your GSC mainline comparative grow and waiting for more goodness. Looks like everything is on plan so far and looking great. Thinking about a big green salad tonight after your latest shots.
Hey cr8. Thanks for taking the time to read it all.

Technically its a quadline, not a mainline, correct? I think the mainlining technique starts with just one node/two branches and then everything else goes off those. With quadline, you start with two nodes/four branches. I think a similar outcome but the quadline is one step quicker.

Do I have that right?

Yes that is correct.

Brett Blaze, I expected a time-lapse, which would have been cool at under 2 minutes. The photo blend growth video was even better. Nice.
I almost went that direction then decided against it. Too much to deal with. I like the morphing though.

Hello Growers

Last night I added 500 ml of solution to each plant and 50% ended up as runoff. Tells me they have enough water on the dry end. I'm trying to switch the watering to early evening (when they wake up) and/or water twice a day because they were taking a lot with only one watering a day.

Each also received a little lollipopping. Just enough to remove the unneeded lower leaves and branches.

I have added 500 ml of solution each this morning with no runoff yet. I usually give it at least an hour.
