420 Magazine's Official Girl Scout Cookies Comparative Grow By BakedARea

Awesome set up! I personally would not worry about night temps in the 60s. If anything you will get some nice color. Maybe someone else will raise issues but based on my current knowledge, I'd be happy to have that.

Oo couple of last thoughts on your temp question. I would make sure you keep an eye on your humidity when the temp drops as RH may sky rocket if you leave a humidifier on (I think I got the correlation right there).

Although I think 60s is ok at night one thing to consider is the swing. I think low 80s to mid 60s is ok based on previous grows

I think your plants look good, Baked. I don't know if it matters to you or not but the average age the other growers flipped to flower was 70 days.

Thanks! I just went out and checked and the light heat output has finally overtaken the influent air. It will be a bit of fine tuning.

Yeah, that's one thing I'm worried about. We get humidity spikes often. My humidifier is set to shut off at 55%. Any else past that is from the plants and now outside RH. I will be keeping an eye on it though. Dehumidifier may have to be an option later in flower.

I posted my reply before inserting your response. Yeah, from the beginning I had a goal that I would take my time. Grow them out and train them to fill the tent. I also had a few hiccups along the way that slowed them down. All part of the learning process! I definitely think I could have knocked off several weeks off their veg had I been better at anticipating their needs. So that's why we are where we are I suppose.

That's how we learn mate ,u learn more by making mistakes and your plants look good certainly ready to b flipped at your convenience so good luck with that :thumb:
Oh an your temps r spot on especially in helping to bring out some colour, :ganjamon:

My grows always run 64F nighttime and 84 daytime. Checked today and range is 63-86. My plants have light stress which I can’t address, but the temps are not a problem from my perspective. I would plan on about 10” stretch, so would base flip on desired size that doesn’t get you into height concerns, rather than days. Looking great. Cheers

Great turnaround on the indoors plants Baked. It's good to see you stick with it and pull them back to good health. I bailed on mine and resorted to emergency procedures lol.
When are the plants which are outdoors expected to start flowering?
:passitleft:

Hey everyone. Just wanted to remember to say thanks to everyone that is sticking along with my journey and this journal.

Based on the flower pics below...how many days/weeks into flower would you say? Cross posted to the main thread too to get more insight from others not following along here. If you would rather answer there, that's cool.

Here are just some update pics of the flower on #2. Not sure if anybody remembers the bonsai design I was working on. I have purposely kept pictures to myself for the reveal to be done later when all design and manipulation is completed. It has been challenging but so much fun working with her. I'll give you all a sneak peek though on her main cola.

#8 is exploding with growth! I have been bending and supercropping as needed to keep her height in check. Looks like I may end up having to add a temporary addition to the top of the fence to keep her somewhat hidden from the neighbor.

If this was your plant, would you stop manipulation of branches to minimize stress? How about defoliating her?? She needs some serious trimming done to get some air and light into the canopy..

Another bonsai that I made from one of the GSC clones. Nothing fancy...just didn't want to grow another giant plant. Haa haaa.

BakedArea, About 2-3 weeks looking back on my grow. Your outdoor plants look great. Cute little bugger too. Cheers

100 Day Update!

They are due for a top dress on Sunday. They are going to get their first application of the @GeoFlora Nutrients 'BLOOM' ! They will be getting a full drench that day but will be getting an extra microbe boost with a worm/compost tea brew. That brew will be getting started tomorrow morning. I anticipate it being ready by Sunday afternoon.

I will be flipping them to flower on Sunday evening too. They are currently running from 1am - 7pm. I was planning on going from 18 hrs to 12 hrs over a 6 day period by dropping it an hour per evening. Is there anything to that process of switching versus just making a dramatic switch from 18 to 12? What do you all prefer to do? Have you noticed any negative effects from one way or the other?

I also need to make some decisions on some branches I think. I was thinking of defoliating on Sunday, the same day I will be top dressing. I was going to chop out any lower branches or bud sites that just won't reach the canopy too and makes some clones from them. Until what week into flower would you stop stressing her out with defoliating and shaping?

BakedARea, I always commit and flip…force the flower, the plants get it quick. I do my under growth trim during the first couple weeks of stretch. Cheers
Thank you. Yeah, I was wondering why some do it one way and others do it the other. It makes sense to me either way. Haaa haaa. Extending it out makes sense because it kind of is mimicking nature. Granted, condensed from 2 months to a week. Then just committing to it and flipping makes sense to me too. Ayyyy....

Hey Baked.

@Emilya and I (and maybe some others, too) didn't feed our plants GF Bloom until they were done their stretch. Emilya said the plants don't automatically start flowering when the lights are flipped and besides that, they need the nitrogen in GF Veg to stretch. We fed them GF Bloom the first watering after flip.

Thanks for the heads up. How long is the stretch btw? So you're saying to give them another round of the GF Veg this time around and then switch to bloom the next one instead? So they will have been 2 weeks into flip before getting the first dose of the bloom?
