Well...remember that comment about having a routine yesterday?! Anyway...that changed last night and this morning already! :ganjamon::laugh:

I decided to leave #2 & 8 outside in the greenhouse. It was a mild evening and I felt they were strong enough to deal with it. Oh...and I went out on a late night taco munch run and forget to bring them inside.
The front door is completely open so they got the full ambient temp drop through the evening. Checked on them this morning and they look perfectly fine! Looks like they will be living in the tent 24/7 for the next few weeks while I get them prepared for full sun. They will be getting increased amounts of full sun everyday for the next week or two. The way these girls are responding to everything thrown at them so far, I'm guessing they will be ready in a few days.

Now for the ladies in the tent...

#1 had a couple unhappy leaves. I went and snipped them off. No point in having the plant spending energy trying to fix those. I'm not sure what this sign on this leaf means. Any ideas?

Along with some defoliation at nodes 2,3,4, & 5, she also got topped today at the 8th node.
:cool: - I went 1 step past the recommendation by @Moto258 and snipped off leaves instead of bending them. I'm confident she will bounce back mightily. Seeing how fast @Brett Blaze 's plants recover from defoliation has convinced me they will be better for it.

My wife said that she looks anorexic and ugly now. Haaa haaa haaa...apparently my wife likes girls to be thick too! Who knew?!
  :passitleft:

I'm going to wait and see how #1 responds before doing anything to #3. I'd like to even out their canopies if I can. Here is a pic of the inner canopy and node spacing for #3. I'm thinking I want to quadline this one. Any thoughts if this would be a good candidate for that?

I finally made up my mind on what to do. I felt the root pruning pot was too small of a jump. I decided to go with a square 6x6 (1 gallon) for #1 & #3. As for #2, I ended up going with a 9" pond basket as mentioned by @ProfessorFlora a couple comments ago. I remembered I had a couple empty ones and decided to move up to that one instead of the smaller ones I asked about earlier. They hold roughly 2 gallons of soil.

After the transplant, they all got a @GeoFlora Nutrients 'VEG' topdress too. #1 & 3 got 1oz, #2 got 2oz, #7, 8, & 9 got 1Tbs (their first topdress).

#2 & #8 got there first day outside today. They went out around noon and came in at 9pm. They were in the greenhouse.

Kind of a big photo dump. Plus a surprise at the end...

Before the transplant

And for the surprise! I originally was planning on #5 to fill this spot but #2 turned into the much better (alive) candidate. I present to you all the start of my first Cannabis Bonsai!

@Weed Seeds Express I will be sacrificing a lot of time to create this living sculpture. I hope I will be able to create something beautiful and inspiring.

She got her first bends yesterday afternoon. Very slight. Just enough to send some hormones into the trunk to strengthen it. It is amazing how quickly cannabis can respond to training. This will not be a tiny shohin sized bonsai by the way. I will introduce her final pot later in the season. I am preparing a special spot in my backyard where I plan to showcase special bonsai projects. This beauty will be the first to be showcased there all season! Until it is complete...you will have to deal with basic greenhouse pics.

BakedARea, Your bonsai looks like an interesting side grow project...good luck on that artistic adventure.

Got into the tent early today. #1 is looking a little sad from yesterday's topping and defoliation. But not too bad though. The rest of them are looking good.

@BakedARea thought I'd stop by and say high! :ciao: Leave a crumb or a footprint that I was here.
Every time I stop by. I get so lost in the photos, I forget to post anything:laugh:

Looks like your having fun and keeping busy. Girls look great!

Hi Baked.

I just noticed that you've noted a 1 week seedling stage for #s7, 8 and 9 while you noted a 2 week seedling stage for #s1, 2 and 3. Why are they different?

Hi Baked.

I initially went with 2 weeks based on some consensus amongst other members when I was asking. Then I saw @Emilya talk about doing only 1 week for a seedling stage. So I went with that to try. To me, this is something that should be standard. Knowing that so many people do it differently and would rather keep it the way they've always done it, it is likely to always be an arbitrary counting method. It was kind of my way of making a point that it doesn't matter because so many people do it differently.

In the future, I think I will probably be going with Veg day #1 the day they breach the soil. Then again, maybe the day their first true leaves come out?! See what I mean?

Your plans are looking much greener than mine BakedARea but I encountered the same type of lower leaf damage. My experience is that this strain is a particularly heavy feeder so I have been keeping my nutes higher than normal; seems to be keeping it mostly at bay.

Good job. :thumb:

Hey Homer. I've been trying to keep my white balance as consistent as possible. In my last update, I included two pics taken fairly close together. I mostly take pics with my phone for the convenience. Unfortunately, the auto white balance does change which changes the green. I attempt to fix the white balance but it doesn't always work the way I would like.

I do have a 'pro's mode available on my camera app and can dial in the color temps. Not sure why, but I just get a little lazy about it and just start snapping away when I open the camera. LOL.

Plants are looking quite happy, Baked!

I too get caught up in your photos! So bright and so colorful. (I even love the different colored solo cups).

Always nice to look at! :Rasta:

I noticed some damage on a couple plants. Crispy tips on #1. Not sure what on #3. And possibly signs of munching pests on #7 & 9. I saw no signs of pests though. Could the SNS209 already be working?! I thought I still needed another week or two before it would be effective.

They all got a small drink today too. Last watering was last Sun 5/30. SNS209 from @Sierra Natural Science & @Terpinator
(5 mL/gallon)
#1 & 3 - 300 mL each - spaced out over 20+ minutes- edges only - no runoff
#7 & 9 - 100 mL spaced out in 25 mL intervals over 20+ minutes - slight runoff on last 25 mL

#2 - 100mL around inner fabric pot - 250 mL around the edges spaced out over 10+ minutes

#80 - 100 mL over 10+ minutes to runoff

#8 is rockin! I'm excited to get her planted in the garden bed. What are your thoughts on putting her straight into the garden from this cup?!

My bonsai project plant #2 is already pushing roots to the bottom of the net pot and some of the sides! 6 days since transplant. I'm looking forward to watching it develop in this pot for quite some time.

Some LST on the tops. I'll be manually bending them over the next week before pinning or wiring them.

That's what I do. First day above soil is Veg day #1. It's the easiest, in my opinion.

I started the Veg stage when the third node was present. Prior to that it's a seedling. The reason this may matter is some nutrient providers have specific amounts when in seedling vs when in Veg. The amounts for a seedling can be only 20% of the amount when in Veg. This may be different in soil versus Hydro/Coco though. For my grow using @Prescription Blend it was mutually agreed that their nutrient schedule is based on Veg starting around the third node with can be up to 2 weeks after popping up.

Excellent point I forgot about. Thanks for chiming in. It seems that would be another good place to start as a standard. After 'x' amount of nodes, starts the veg clock.

* UPDATE * - @Sierra Natural Science SNS209 Foliar Spray - turned the lights above down to minimum setting for 2 hrs.

#1 is already pushing out large leaves and covering up the inner canopy. She may need to get a couple more leaves snipped along with #3

#7 & 9 are pushing up the 7th node. They are both fairly equal in stature and growth rate so far. I'm thinking one of these ladies to quadline.

A little more manual bending this morning. Trying to create slight movement in the branches. Need to just wire them down I suppose.
