400w HPS, 3 Topped Plants

If you don't mess up a leaf here and there you're not trying! LOL!

haha MostlyCrazy thats like what I learned about riding and skating: if you aren't falling you aren't learning!

lol, so true.. I knew that the PPM would rise to high (based on its consumption of water vs. nutes) and cause nute burn once the plants drank 5gal in 2 days, which I expected that would take atleast 3 days and didn't check til then.. When I looked at how low the res was, I knew the ppm would be way high.. but not that it would already showed nute burn like it did..

Im thinking I should flush with no nutes and just 000ppm water for 3 days.. You guys think that the plant will keep getting worse. I already lowered the ppm 300 below 1200(recommend PPM0 to 900ppm.. Wonder if that is enough?

The plain H2O is not a real good route - if you want to drop the ppm to 1000-1200 should be fine but to cut off the nutes would not help the recovery, it can only cause more problems.

When I had bad root rot I lowered my ppm significantly to the 300-600 range for a mid sized plant and it recovered that way - grew new roots - started growth again - and then I cloned it and killed it and ate it. That plant suffered badly from using Floranova and mycorrhizae in DWC and never changing the reservoir.

ouch man, sry about that plant.. I feel your pain man, sux seeing your babies in bad health...

I got my plants at 900ppm..right now

sounds like a plan i wouldnt wanna wait that long

oh it is so worth it though man... especially on the big nugs... the have the youngest growth on them and take the longest to mature... I probably do a staggered harvest and harvest 1/2 plant every weeks starting in 5 weeks..

also, I have no idea how the light will affect its flower time, I bet it could significantly shorten the flower time..Ill know for sure in 2 weeks how long it will be...

yah MC, i swear the colas have doubled in size in one week from that light... Im very impressed

Might even limit the amount of plants you want to put in the bp system.

true dat.. maybe one HUGS plant lol... like a 3 inch stalk.. you could do that with the bucketeer system pretty easily, as long as you got rid of all that heat...

btw.. I have the light 3ft. away now and Im still getting light bleaching... anyone ever heard of this affecting growth? Its only on the top leaves on 3 tops.
