3x Northern Lights Fem, Indoor & Outdoor Combo, BioBizz Soil

Day #27 / Flowering day: 3
The strech been nice. They keep streching during the nights around 1cm to 3cm
No white pistils still found from the nodes.. couple small calyxes has developed tho :)

Ive kinda ran into a Cal & Mag defiency… at least magnesium defiency. Lower leaves turning yellow and green veins are shown + little brown spots from the edge of leaves can be found as well.

Gotta buy Cal/Mag as soon as possible… hopefully recorvering back to ”normal & healthy” doesn’t take too long/slow down the pre flowering.
Otherwise they look pretty fine for 27days old plants.

Temps:
- Night: 20-23C
- Day: 27-29C

- pH: 6.2 - 6.5
- Watering volume: around 1.2l per plant (4l & 6l pots) every 3 days (sometimes adding a little top watering if the top surface dries down quickly.

Fertz used: First week of flowering and still following BioBizz vegging formula where I just added extra 1ml Bio Bloom and 1ml Bio Top max

Day #30 / Flowering day: 6

BioBizz Cal/Mag-admixture gave them a real stretch boost :)
Its been almost a week since I changed to the 12/12 cycle, and only Pheno #1 has shown the white pistils from calyxes :lot-o-toke:
Pheno #3 has started to push little white hairs from top colas, but havent really developed proper calyxes on the nodes yet. Argh… Im probs just impatient.

Today decided to Super crop Pheno #3 main colas since they keep stretching mad quick. Hope this stimulates the nutrient uptake, flowering and stops the stretch - and obv starts to develop mad fat nugs on the sites.

~ Expecting the stretch to be over in couple days and after that going to take the clones (hopefully can get around 6-10 cuttings) and after root germination going to grow them in solo cups using SoG method :yummy: what u think, should I make own journal for the different project?

Day #32 - Flowering day: 7-8

BioBizz's nutrients actually begins to slighty irritate me o_O The whole BioBizz consept is designed to cash out people… To be able to follow the bios nute chart and feed them properly especially during the bloom, you should have the whole f**** collection of them.

And now after starting the flowering I would obviously want to decrease the amounts of N (nitrogen) which I feed them.. So when trying to leave out the entire grow and just use bloom they actually struggling with the pre-flowering and/or start of the actual flowering.

Biobizz grow and bloom seems both manufactured to be used together throughout the entire flowering perioid.

What you think should I try to buy some P-K nutrient only? And fert the plants with P-K nutes only and occasionally mix in my organic 5-0-0 NPK Nitrogen nutrient?
Ordered co2bag and tablets so got a subscriber gift as well: free sample of Terra Aquatica’s Bloom Booster, which seems not a N-P-K nutrient. As they arrive going to test and mix it togerher with BioBizz bloom and Grow.

Post watered
- 0.5ml/l Bio-Grow
- 2ml/l Bio-Bloom
- 1.2ml/ Bio-Cal/Mag
- 1.3ml/l Bio-Top max

As it has been a week now since I flipped them into flowering only Pheno #1 & #2 shows little signs of white pistils. Pheno #2 havent showed any signs of pre-flowering yet. No white pistils even on top colas.

Day #33 - Flowering day: 8

Today bought CO2 bag, since heard they're good invest in small tents. Also had an impulse purchase and decided to buy Atami ATA PK 13-14 nutrient as an experiment :headbanger:
So after installing the co2bag decided to mix up an irrigation water for the plants:

Bio-Bloom: 1.5ml/l
Bio-Grow: 1ml/l
Bio-Cal/Mag: 0.9ml/l
Bio-Topmax: 1ml/l
ATA PK13-14: 1ml/l

…the mix was pretty Phosphorus & Potassium emphasis :cheesygrinsmiley::cheesygrinsmiley: hope they don't OD from that amount.
Water per plant (4 & 6l air pots): 0.7l

Here's couple pics

Day #34 - Flowering day: 9

There seems to be no end to stretching :jawdropper:
Increased CO2 levels doing great work. Borrowed ppm-meter ~6h after placing the co2bag and it gave me 2300ppm / 30C … and should be able to raise up to 4000ppm.

Finally all the plants showing pistils but seems not having any kind of hurry to develop buds yet.
They keep drinking mad amounts of water and ferts (watering volume around 0.7l per plant every 24hrs)

As they not showing any signs or symptoms of over fertilizing, should I keep feeding them with higher amounts every time?

Day #39 - Flowering day: 14

No update in a while, sorry! :sorry:
But has been a pleasure to watch these ladies getting thru the whole veg & pre-flower stages without any problems at all! Only had a little cal/mag defiency at early stage, which is so normal here since the tap water is so soft…
They been extremely resist to everything. They dont give a two fugs about a lil heat stress, or some day it might be dry as sahara and one like a rain forest.

There are they at day 39 (14 days since flipped into 12/12)
They beautifully filled the entire 2x2 (60x60cm) Scrog net :yahoo:

Day #42 - Flowering day: 17

Budlets growing mad fast :Namaste:
- 8/7/2021 added an extra 100w LED Panel. So now we running 100W 3500K LED + 250w HID 2100K (equal to 500w HID/HPS)

Had a little temp issues since the led produces extra +3C degress inside the tent. Day time temps running between 29-32C. Even tho with extra CO2 bag added the temps might be couple celcius too high, gotta figure out something…

RH: 40-55%
~3500ppm
Watering volume/24hrs: 0.3-0.5l per plant (4l air pots dries out so fast with those temps :S)
Feed:
Bio-Grow: 2-2.5ml/l
Bio-Bloom: 3-3.5ml/l
Bio-Topmax: 1.3ml/l
Bio-Cal/Mag: 1.2ml/l

Day #43 - Flowering: 18

- little defolation
- water per plant: 07-1l
- nutrient schedule above
- temps stays between 29-31 which is a bit of a problem… Any DIY ideas how to reduce tempeatures?
- Led panel produces +3C extra heat -> having it off is tho almost half from the light power.
- they seems loving nutes.. no signs of any excess.

3 weeks since flipped them into 12/12
Nicely developing nugs. Pheno #3 (the plant on the right) has slightly lighter green foliage than Pheno #1 & 2.

overfeeding them a bit from Bio’s chart, but no any signs of excess.

Day #48 Flowering day: 24

Close up for the 7th week from the germination!

- Assembled and installed a 125mm exhaust fan
~ Blowing power: 80m3/h / 18w

Now its A LOT more easier to control the heat and air ventilation inside the tent.
- Temps staying steady 26-28C
- Perfect humidify with humidifer: RH45%
- now the constant fresh air (taken from outside with a pipe + duct fan), can take a full advantage of the extra CO2 bag.

Also Phenotypes having wonderful cloning genes!

Yesterday was friday 13th, but we made it thru so tonight at saturday we little lay back and celebrate with these FAT juicy Bubba Kush nug’s.

Day #49 Flowering day: 25
Start of the 8th week

Sunday and the start of the 8th week! Expecting to see some nice buds growth on this week :theband:

Sundays a watering day aswell! Getting kinda hard to properly water 4l air pots… Since they dry out so quickly they need to be saturated wet whole pot every time watering them. Only NL#3 has 6l air pot which is a bit easier to control (run-offs etc).

Watering & Feeding schedule per plant:

NL#1 (top left corner)
- Bio-Grow: 2.5ml/l
- Bio-Bloom: 4.5ml/l
- Bio-Topmax: 4ml/l
- Bio-Cal/Mag: 1ml/l
- Seaweed/Kelp extract: 1.5ml/l

NL#2 (bottom left)
- Bio-Grow: 1.5ml/l
- Bio-Bloom: 3ml/l
- Bio-Topmax: 4ml/l
- Bio-Cal/Mag: 0.8ml/l
- Sea/Kelp: 2ml/l

NL#3 (right side)
- Bio-Grow: 4ml/l (NL#3 has noticable lighter green foliage)
- Bio-Bloom: 3.5ml/l
- Bio-Topmax: 2.5ml/l
- Sea/Kelp: 3ml/l
82F61EB7-444A-4444-951A-0F219D2BB86B.jpeg

And whys that? Different feeding schedule for each plant even tho theyre same brand same NL seeds?
…Because as you probably can see from the picture the plant on right has lighter green foliage -> Needs more N.
The plant on bottom left; having very greenish turtles leaves -> too much or maybe even light Nitrogen toxicity. Also it develops the buds poorly.
Then the plant on top left side; The healthiest one! Pretty much following BioBizz’s feeding chart with this one since the leaves having nice greenish color, develops nice thick buds.

Peace n have a nice sunday folks!

Day #50 Flowering day: 26

Some of the plants white stigmas slowly starting to turn into brown.
Budlets developing nicely straight after I got the temps in range between 22-26C. Also since I installed the out take fan inside the tent, it makes nice vacuum inside!

Day #53 Flowering day: 29

Hi!
Plants been thriving and sugars really starting to build up :battingeyelashes:
Started to feed them every 24hr around 0.5-0.75l/plant (Soil dries out very fast bcoz of the Light mix’s texture and HPS produces a lot of heat)

I feel its better to feed them more frequent, rather than going thru heavy dry/wet cycles. 4l air pots being a very small final container for that size of plants so they basicly drink everything within 24hrs whatever the soil keeps in it.
Also no near to be any kind of excess or nutrient burn…so might start overfeeding them bit by bit to see where the OD limit goes. Since we’re on the 4th week of flowering, I probs should pump them up with nutes to take full advantage before starting flush/feed with plain water. Breeder provides flowering time 6-8 weeks.

And tonight first popcorn samples below the scrog net were chopped! :tommy: Not hoping too much since wont properly dry/cure them anyway.
Just quick drying them top of the ballast. And yyees, dont blame me, should sit on my hands until theyre ready to harvest. BUT MAMA, I HAD TO!

That 6.2 to 6.5 PH looks like it might be just keeping her from taking Mag. As the chart indicates. Bring it up to 6.8 now and then and see if there's an improvement?

1629480999557.png
Thanks for this! :)
Found out the pH jumps between 6.2-7 depending what and how much I feed them. pH got more balanced after I cut down the amount Nitrogen. But ye as the chart shows Nitrogen makes the medium more alkaline…
When starting to flush/feed them with plain water guess Ive to buy pH down or pH minus nutrient or w/e is the name if I want to keep the pH balanced for the very end

E: tap water here is close to 7 pH, but when the water sits +24hrs to gather up some oxygen the pH drops for a bit

Day #56 Flowering day: 32

Nothing much to say, they seems like doing their thing… Breeder provides 7 weeks (49 days) flowering perioid for this NL strain so feeling the bud sizes are lacking since they should be ready to harvest after 2,5 weeks. Breeders promises arent usually accurate. But compared to my last NL grow (same company seeds) after 32 days flowering I feel like the nugs were more dence.

Been trying to do some research about growing in such small containers and what would be the best way to water plants in small air pots. Posted a thread HERE asking for lil guiding, since this is my first grow with Air Pots.
I appreciate if you have a tip or two to throw in! :)

Day 56 (32 flowering)
91AE926D-58AE-4537-9935-AB3A5D7A47E2.jpeg

The foliage is dark green and leaves having kind of turtles look…idk how to properly deal with lower dosages of Nitrogen. Bio-Grow and Bloom designed to work and use together during the bloom. Ive tried to reduce Grow to 0.5-1ml/l water but that just quickly gives some P&K defience symptoms. For example leaves getting thin feel, stems becomes weaker and so on..

Having a 13-14 PK booster but high amounts of N blocks the nutrient uptake.

Ok so flushing. It's something to do to "wash out salt buildup" to allow the plant to feed at it's best. You (those who flush) immediately bring feed back until the very end. Is that your understanding? Here's the science behind that. Maybe you knew? I don't flush with LOS but @InTheShed did his homework and got the info.

By flushing meant more likely ”water diet” for the last week. But just read that organic biobizz nutes arent even supposed to flush out. So biobizz nutes shouldnt build up salts in the soil either.
Sadly dont have an EC meter to see how true is that.

Never been a big fan of flushing.. Soil wont never get fully flushed from nutrients. IMO if u chasing the better taste of weed, you need a proper drying and curing process.
