Since I switched to the 9" fans, I'm having to water the HID plants every other day, and the LED plants every 2-3 days. It's keeping the ladies cool and mold-free, however, so I'm very OK with that.
Hope it makes a difference on your summer grows. I think it will, and if you're going to be using 5-gal pots and soil, you shouldn't have to water too often, but my watering frequency increased significantly.
Part of the reason my garage felt like a steam bath during the rainy days was all the water the plants were processing and transpiring.
Temps always seem to increase in my tents as they get filled up with growing plants, and the HID tent was running a little higher than I like at 83-85, so I compensated for that with more air circulation, which scavenged the tents better and brought my temps back down to 79-80, but at the expense of lots more transpiration and need for water.
A better solution is to upgrade my exhaust fan(s), as that would drop temps and not have as much effect on watering, so I got a Suncourt Centrax 4" 200cfm exhaust fan for the HID tent in order to keep temps equalized between the tents.
The HID tent will now have more ventilation than the LED tent, but the S&P fan in the LED tent is working very well since it doesn't have to pull through a hood and a bunch of additional duct, so I'm going to keep using the S&P fan in the LED tent.
The Suncourt fan is speed controllable (unlike my S&P fans), so I'll be able to dial-in the temp in the HID tent so that it matches the LED side.
The brown truck of happiness just dropped the new fan off at the front door, so I can't wait till lights come on in a couple of hours to install it.
I plugged it in to play with it and to see how it worked with a speed controller, and I'm very happy with it. It moves a *lot* more air than my S&P fans, and it's still fairly quiet, though not as quiet as the S&P's, but I can't really compare noise until I get it installed.
I love setting up new grow gear

I was out in my garden shed at 2am this morning, doing a little work on my LR2 grow that I'm finishing with a 150w HPS since growth had kind of stalled with the cold weather and shorter days.
Thought about how many other peeps in my town might be up at 2am happily working on their grows as if it was the most natural thing to be doing, because it is for me
