I dont think it was from light leaks or me looking at them at night, i only look at the temp and rh gauge with a green light app on my phone. I honestly think its from the heat from adding that second light.. it was after then when i noticed the first seed. Could have been the stress from me putting the light in too who knows. Oh well now i know not to change environmental factors when they are in flower. My Hawaiian lady must be a sensitive girl.

I'm sorry to see what has happened to you. Some of these strains are so particular and cant see any stress at all. I may have been a bad bean too though. A friend of mine meticulously kept notes on everything he had done down to what times and everything. I know it sounds like a lot of work but he was able to narrow things down to the smallest detail on what he had done wrong, if anything wrong was done. I hope maybe this will help some. Now chalk it up and get started on another one that's all.

I don't think it was from adding the light. I added a more powerful light (added, not replace) in the last few weeks of my first grow, and it only helped. As for light leak, do you trust the phone app? Also, I have read about people getting hermies from just the little power light on a power bar. I'm sure the sensitivity is strain related, as there are others that post a little stray light didn't hurt them, but I'm not prepared to take the chances. Could be the heat stress too I suppose.

I was thinking i might just go ahead and feed them one last time then start the flush since it seems to be getting worse.. if i feed them one more time i will harvest on day 63 but if i feed them two more times then i will harvest on day 70. I need some opinions guys would you do it as soon as you could or wait the extra week?

I'd say wait the extra week. I just dealt with a hermie my first grow and I didn't end up with as many seeds as I thought. Better to have bulked up buds with seeds then scrawny ones with seeds.

Two big ole seeds popping up. Just remember that a self hermied female will produce female seeds. I haven't gotten as far as sexing a seedling but I'll let ya know.

I'm in the process of popping a seed from my hermie and cloning my flowering mama. This is what happens when you think that your diy exhaust is extracting hot air, not pushing it back into your tent.

If you grow out any of those beans just make sure you keep a close eye on them. Especially if you have them in the room with other strains. Just in case they hermied from genetics and not from environmental factors.

If they were bag seed then there is a good chance those seeds came from a hermie so it might not have been you adding that light at all. Every time I see a seed in a bag usually my first thought is that it came from a hermie and if there is only one or two seeds in the bag then that just strengthens my thoughts that it was a hermie to begin with. Everytime one of my plants were actually pollinated by another plant I ended up with alot more seeds then 20

So i figured that would be the one that didn't hermie on me lol its cool though i think i will feed them two more times then flush. I dont think ill keep any of the seeds honestly.. maybe one or two but i wouldnt try growing them for a while so ill have to remember that.

You got a reprieve toast! I'm leaning towards the genetics theory as well. I'm glad your are growing it out to finish. After harvest, I would do a super cleanup of the grow area to make sure them pesky pollen floaters aren't still hiding and waiting to pounce on the next grow lol.
I would probably keep the seeds and try a couple out, keeping a very close eye on them as suggested. If I didn't, I know my curiosity would get the better of me. Keep us in the loop, bud

Im here to tell you, dude at the growshop said no need to check run off with FF cause its synthetic and has salts so not a accurate run off reading. He said to put in 6.2-6.5 and I should have no problems. 3 hrs on the damn computer, my thread and three others. Thanks for your help Toasted and coming by my thread.

Yea im gonna clean everything with diluted bleach before i put my other plants in.. dont want to take any chances there. I am liking the idea of having some seeds from my ladies now.. i feel better about it, just gonna keep doing what im doing and not worry about it. Itll be nice to grow another Hawaiian lady at some point if i want to, might be very nostalgic to do so in a few years.

Thanks for mentioning that to me dutchess that helps me a lot cause i was reading runoffs before and i guess there is no need to. Awesome info will save me time and effort in the future! Thats good to know as well brightlight i will leave them be instead of trying to pick them all off. Im glad its Wednesday, were half way through the week guys! Guess that only applies to us youngins lol!

That's exactly what i was thinking, minds well grow them out and hope for the best, (unless there's still good females your worried about the hermies pollinating). You've put this much time in already minds well ride it out.

Interesting info.... I've seen a few late flower bananas on my last run but not a single seed. Makes sense. I figured it was due to the pistils being mature on the suspect lady but the younger girls in my tent came out clean too.. Awesome info, I learn something new everyday.

Ok guys update time, feeding tomorrow. Today is day 46 of flower. Got a bunch of pics, im hoping this humidity goes away its bugging me. Hasnt gotten lower then 43 during lights on and gets 65-70 at night. Thinking about buying a small dehumidifier but i read they dont do anything, you need an expensive one for it to work well.

Getting the rest of the stuff to finish off the grow friday cant wait. I think the flat chested phenotype that has the densest, smallest buds doesnt have seeds. The Hawaiian lady is definitely purpling up, cant wait to see her around harvest time. Damn it im getting so anxious guys the anticipation is killing me lol heres what i put in 1.75 gal water first bubbling almost 24 hours.

Tiger bloom 3.5 ml
Cha ching just under 1/8th tsp

Lowering the tiger bloom as i go cause it says to use less the last two weeks and i will be lowering the cha ching as i go too. This is what i will be putting in before i ph everything tomorrow.

Mammoth-p 1.8 ml
Big bloom 15 ml
Blackstrap molasses 1 ml
Hurculean harvest 15 ml
Bembe 7.5 ml
Pure blend tea 7.5 ml

Read more about the pure blend tea its not completely organic because of something they do in processing the product blah blah blah but you can add quite a bit of it with your other nutes and its really great for the terpenes and smell like i thought. Helps your soil out a lot too. Excited to be in the end phase its crazy guys cant believe ive made it so far its almost over!!

Can a nitrogen efficiency cause them to hermie? Thought about that today.. cause my Hawaiian lady has had a bad excess of nitrogen and it wont go away.
