2nd Inside Grow

#2...still not repotted..will be getting pot and soil today...got #2 and bag seed under 400w MH bulb...they are both really stretching...which tells me cfl is the reason for short...tight... node spacing...Photos Up

#2 finally repotted...bag seed putting out 2nd set of leaves...going to mate it..if its a male..it goes with jh female...if female..it goes with jh male...i need some more seed...remember in my 1st grow..i grew a bag seed it turned out to be a male...Ok 1st pic...bag seed 2nd pic..#2 in its new home..going to top and tie down...see how that works...trying these different technics the best one i'll use for my out side grow next summer...

Very nice! The stems on your girls are all looking nice and thick. You can tell they will be some strong ladies(Hopefully) when they come of age.

The LST is coming along nicely as well. Very low and compact. You have plenty of room to work with so make it count!

Thanks TOG...I'm convinced these thick stems and close nodes comes from cfl...looks like the only one stretched was #2...i had it under a 400w MH

A few things that might cause the stretch would be either substandard lighting or simply Genetics. it might have just played out that way, luck of the draw I guess. Most of my girls were under the T5 and most have very compact node structure.

When I put them under my MH they all kept the same structure. #3 of my plants(Before I had to kill it) Has such a tight node structure I had to thin him out several times to get some type of light Penetration.

Everything is looking great on your end. Keep doing what you are doing.:thumb:

Trying to get it right...stocked up on bud from my outside grow this summer...so i can take my time on this grow..target date to start flowering is xmas eve which will make 45 days in veg...what do you think..should i extend...they say more veg time..more buds...maybe a 60 day veg...your op???:thanks:
 
Hey Miwa, depends on strain more than anything. If you are flowering under the 400, I would not veg them any taller than a foot or so. Assume a stretch of 2-3 times, they end up at 2 to 3 foot tall. The 400 will not penetrate that deep. Have you considered a SCROG to spread them out more than basic LST?

I think 45 days will be plenty.....unless you are SCROGing

I am under cfl...i have a 400w MH...not going to use it this grow...going to use cfl... top and side...don't want to scrog ,,,i'm growing reg seed...don't know if i have females even...this LST is no way basic...probably going to herm all my plants...oh welll...live and learn...or should i say,,,grow and learn..
 
You won't herm them from LST, whatever it takes t keep the CFLs RIGHT ON TOP of the plants (or sides if you grow them tall). Otherwise you will just grow stems like Propa stated. How many watts of CFL you planning to run? MH may be nice for some heat this winter and be more efficient too.

right now i have about 300w blue...300w red...using all blue for veg...also going to LST the growing shoots...or side branches...to keep vertical growth down...i might use my MH with 2700k cfl for flowering,.
