Well Im with James on the Couch - Lock too!!
I need a decent strength weed or I dont feel it, as I have Bi-polar I need a sedative, heavier eye lid stone, I need it for sleep and to help keep me calm, So yeah - But I dont know if I should leave my girl too much longer, I can only go from my experience and from others advice about it as I havent dealt with many Indica's, and if indeed a Sativa usually produces a higher THC content, then Im already a sad man:/
I am just hoping that she will reward me with some tasty nuggage after my TLC for her over the time we ve shared

its good to see you around the forum again james, hope alls well my friend,
indicas are ready when cloudy, thats when thc is at its max, letting the trichs turn amber will give you more couch lock, but remember after you harvest they will still change colour for 2 or 3 days depending on temps,
i usually harvest between 10 and 30% amber, if you are waiting for the amber trichs then keep checking the whole plant as they turn amber pretty quick once they start, miwa will agree to this as he told me the same a couple of days ago,
so for couch lock go with some amber trichs per bud, around 25% is good but some plants get stressed when left in flower that long so keep an eye for bananas growing, its not a problem if you dont have other plants in flower as it wont have time to produce seeds itself after harvest but if the bananas open it could spread pollen to other plants, but i find going to 10 to 25% amber is ok and is not a problem, anymore and bananas will grow, i use the pollen from bananas to make fem seeds,
i prefer couch lock for night time smoke, id say if your growing sativa then its not really worth going to amber as it will make not much difference, but indicas give a lot more couch lock affect when they got a good % of amber, ive never gone past about 30%, i guess you can but wouldnt be sure how the end result would be, not tried it so cant comment,
@miwa, with bpn i give nutes from day1 when i using dwc, if i remember right its 2.5ml of grow,micro,bloom per gallon of bpn, corey says its best to use from day 1, in my soil grows i start nutes about week 2, i know the compost is enough to keep the plants going but if i re=use compost say from when i killed a male then i use nutes from day 1 with no issues, cant comment for other brands, but id you had a seedling stage feed or week 1 schedule then start at 1/2 that started dose or even 1/4 and work your way up,
im sure someone who uses the nutes you use will chime in and tell you what dose to use, but bpn is good from day1 of seedlings growth, as soon as you see the first set of leaves growing after the round seed leaves then your good to start using nutes,

also what are these foggers you talk about, is it just a fog maching, i got like a thing that sits in the corner of my room, lights up purple and its like a big bowl and fog rolls off the side and down onto the floor, just uses water and creates fog, what are you actually using the fog machine for, i got a big one sitting around doing nothing, its more of a feature for a living room, something relaxing to look at, but all my kids do is keep sticking stuff in it and seing what floats, i found all sorts in their, moshi monsters,screws, flowers from my daughter trying to make perfume, so its not been used a while but if i can use it for growing then i may as well benefit from it,
let me know what you use it for, i can take mine apart and just use the fog part as i dont need to use the big bowl its in, i can just take the mechanism out that turns the water into fog and use it in what ever container i like, is it good for roots, is that what you use it for, cloning

ok...going to start this fog lady on 1/4 strength..BPN..is what i got most of..we'll try that...DP..plants can get nutes out of fog..easier than any other medium..i'm just concerned the fogger might break..thats why i keep 2.5 gal of water in the container..along with a airstone..they call it fogponics..heres some info..growing cannabis with fog - Bing Videos...i got it in a 4 in netpot..haven't seen roots yet but its putting out new growth..i grew it from seed...in a jiffy pellet..going to put it outside if it ever stops raining...this time ..i do have too many plants...makes me want to experiment...

a purple would be high on my list, at least a purple that turns purple under regular temps and conditions, so just ordered more purps and purp autos, ive grown a few purples now and the only one that turned purple was an auto that got put outside for a few days prior to harvest, it only turned purple after getting 2 nights of near freezing temps, came close to sticking it in the freezer to get it to go purple,
i slowly lowered the temp each day and wouldnt turn purple, so i couldnt lower the temps anymore, it was snowing outside, so it was either the freezer or the snow, so i put it on my balcony where it cant get snow on it, then left it over night, repeated that for a few days then it turned purple, so rolled a fat one and damn i wished i never, it was the worst bud i had ever tasted, couldnt smoke it,
but it did turn purple,

bad taste,,,did you get high off it...i wonder what cause the taste..
is that fog just for clones, im just watching some vids now, bing seems really slow for some reason, using google search instead, lot quicker for me, but maybe its my service provider, or just my computer not liking bing,
dont it slow down rooting though due to the clone getting all it needs through its leaves, let me watch some more vids and ill find out, just looking now, interestsing idea and i got a huge fogger, just put water in it, so i can put nuts in it as well, i could even build something to have the fog pourig down, at the minutes mines like a big dish, the dish width is 1.5ft, so imagine a circle that big and thats my bowl about 3 inches deep with water, then its got this metal thing in the middle n it creates the fog their and fills the top inch of the bown up then it flows down the sides onto the floor, its on a big stand and got fancy led crap in it, my daughter loves it,
i could sort of tell her the dog broke it, then take the bit out that makes fog and make some sort of clone tray with that metal part that made the fog, she used it that much at first that the wall paper started getting damp, it was on none stop,
let me find out more

no never got high of it, it tasted like it was some real bad seedy stuff, you know how tai weed tasted when you got some that wasnt dried properly, all sticks and seed pods, that kind of harsh taste, not good, even my mate wouldnt touch it, i got him to try it and the first thing he said was "was it full of seeds when you got it" he dont know i grow i told him i got it for free, he said give it back and get some form of compensation, he was not impressed, so pulled another strain out grown properly and he calmed down and relaxed. he wasnt to happy i got ripped off. he said he wouldnt give it away free, might be good enough for the dog but not for smoking. ill try and find some, ill dig through my trim boxes and see if i can find any, it was a nice purple and the pistils looked like a yellow colour, nice to look at but damn did it taste bad,
so yes it was that bad, tasted just like burning grass, just like the fan leaves would, we used to call it shade when i was younger, just a load of crap from the plant with small bits if bud with it, but this tasted like that and it was all bud, i trim everything before drying, i keep no leaf on the buds, so i know it wasnt any left over sugar leaf as a always do a good job trimming,

im pretty sure it would be big enough to make a big root fog container, i could use a big cooler box, drill 2 big holes in the top, rig up 12v computer fan and have this blowing into some ducting so it blows inside the fog tub, then a tube the other end to let any fog out,
that way the fog will be moving around the tub all the time, im sure my fogger would keep a big tub filled up, id need to drill hole in bottom for drain hole but one of them big blue coolers you take on picnics with all the drinks n sandwich's it, that would be plenty big enough for at least 1 plant,
then i just need to build a resevoir for the fogger to sit it, i could mount this halfway up the cooler so that the fog is startinghigh up in the cooler, a lot of work but im sure it could be done, let me watch more of these videos so i understand it a bit better, but if it works as good as it says it does and it can grow and feed a whole plant then i could give it a try, might work out well, sounds good so far,

Ive let my girls go to banana before, thats when theyre usually at 20% amber or so - I only have a single plant grow so each harvest I clean out.. Well best I can anyway! This plant is showing deeper purpling now as it flowers longer. Pistils are nearly all orange, and yeah Il have to try look at the larger cola's trichs, as its hard for me to get to some cola's now

yeah..been doing a lot of reading on fog..looks like it could get complicated..i gotta see for myself..i added some and left some got one of those aquarium foggers...with the lights..it sits on a floating device..really all i got is a DWC with a fogger floating in the nute solution...
this is a bagseed in a jiffy pellet covered with stones..so if you had this...would you sex it now...
i checked the pots...no roots showing..i got a tea of Mycorrhizoain in 2.5 gal of rowater..
got it 2 in from a 23w cfl...ready for some sunlight unless you think i should sex it...
also got a pineapple express clone reveg..a lot of branching..just like her mama...her mama needs a bigger pot...roots grow fast in coco and BPN...
i got some rooted clones ..in the cloner..with a flower on top...ph clones..yep..i got my fogger on a timer...30/30 min..some leave them on 24/24..i don't think thats needed..i'm going to see how this fog sprout react to the sun..

The plant has had deep purple lines all thru its branches and has been since its sprout, they run vertically along each branch and as the plant has flowered its gotten purple colors coming in as its furthering along into flower, the calyxes as they gain change colors and its among small leaves in the bud clusters.. I believe it may be a cross of another strain??
So I feel it is NOT due to cold temps! Or over fert, I grow in soil and use organic soil with org nutes, am using BPN atm, and havent seen any bad symptoms from using it..

We Are Growing Two Of Them, At Mom's Insistence(NOT MINE I ASSURE YOU), And So Far They Look Just Like Most Of The OTHER Plants In Our Garden(TOO EARLY TO TELL IF THEY WILL BE PURPLE OR NOT), But MOM Is Hoping They Will Be. I Tried To Explain To MOM, That The Purple Craze Is A Passing Fad, Since The Herb Is Not Terribly Strong, Yields Little, And Has Far More CBN In It Than THC. Which Of Course Means,It Will Not Get You That High We All So Crave!!!
Also, Late Purpling Strains Tend To Begin To Lose Much Of Their Potency If Allowed To Purple Up Due To Weather, Another Reason PURPS Have Slipped In Popularity, Who Wants To Smoke Herb That Has Begun The Long Climb Down From Potency, Just To Be Purple???IDK, I Guess It Is All In The Eye Of The Beholder, If You Want PURPS, By All Means GROW Them, But Be Prepared For It To Be A Novelty Item, As Most Folks Buy It Because Of LOOKS, Not Potency, I Suppose If Yo Can Find A PURPLE FAN CLUB, You'd Be In Like Flynn!!!
The Only True Purples I Have Ever Seen That Had The Potency To Match The Color, Would Be Colombian Black,Guerrero Black,Jamaican Black,Black Thai And Black Oaxacan. All Sativas, All Hard To Grow, Unless You Have A Good Greenhouse Or Live In A Desert State That Never Reaches Freezing. Indoors, The Process is Supposed To Be Much Easier, As Temps Can Be Controlled(IN A WELL RUN GROW ROOM THAT IS), But The Potency, Except For The Sativas I Just Named, Is Lacking As Well. And Where, I Ask You,Can You Still Find LANDRACE Sativa Genetics, Like The Ones I Just Named(WHAT I WOULD NOT GIVE FOR ANY OF THESE OLD LANDRACE SATIVAS,ESPECIALLY THE BLACK THAI'S And BLACK COLOMBIANS!!!) Hell I Would Take All Of The AFOREMENTIONED LANDRACE BLACK/PURPLE SATIVAS, If Only For Breeding Purposes, And To Add That Extra THC Kick To Strains Like The Purple Dragon, And Purple This Or That. You See Most Indicas,Afghanis And Kushes, Will Turn Purple,But WAY AFTER They Have Begun To Lose Their Potency, Because They Change Due To Climate,Temperature And Age. If I Could Add These Forgotten Genetics To Them,I Think We Might Have Nicely POTENT Purple Strains, That Turn Purple On Time, And Loses None Of It's Potency Due To Age. so what happen to the purple in my purple hazes...the only time i got purple was when my plant had a meg def...me..i/m not into colors...or taste...it can look like shit and taste worst..if it kills the pain..it will be digested by Miwa...plans for today...3 repots..a purple haze...pineapple express...and a hash plant..empty the cloner..put the sprouts in pots and DWC...fill the cloner with cuttings from the PE..i just changed water for the fog ponics...1 tea of advance nutes A & B...in 2.5 gal ro water...and put it outside...partly cloudy day...still ...brighter than that 23w cfl it was under..i got a plant that won't reveg..born with 3 finger leaves...still putting them out..a purple haze reveg clone...still growing..its going to be a jungle in here...
