2nd Grow - The Freak Is Back - LED 2017

Hi budzfreak, I just started a royal cheese auto and the starter leaves were similar to your freaky one. The first true leaves were fine but the next nodes were deformed too. She started to curl at the stem so I topped her and she seems fine now at just over 3 weeks. Will be interesting to follow along and see how she goes.

Welcome! Glad to have you along. I'm very curious to see what comes of the little one. Hopefully the growth keeps going like crazy! I have no idea on strains so it's all in the air! Happy growing !!

Are you growing in bubble pots?

Hey Joe! 420 posts haha! congrats :) Im growing in a diy aero/dwc setup. Inside the tote is a water pump that goes into a T which has 1 ez clone spray nozzle at either end between each pair of the net pots. These come on and spray oxygenated nutrients at the pots 4 times a day for half an hour. When theyre just popping from the peat pellets I dial it down to 2 times a day. It saves me from having to ever top feed or really be to worried about a drought. The roots love it and they follow the drips down to the water/nutes. I also have a air pump with two stones in the res. Ill find a couple pictures of it running and post up. Thanks for the question friend!

So here's three pictures. The first one is how it looks now with just one nozzle at either end. I like this setup better. The second one shows it running during the first stage of building it. The third just shows it all together

Haha mate I didn't even realise so thank you for letting me know ;)

That is a wicked looking set up, did you do your last grow with them?

My last one was in soil! I like having to watch the ph and dealing with mixing nutes so I think I'm going to like Hydro better. That plus yield of course. I want to do a scrog but over the past couple days I've been thinking how would I access the res? Lol. I might take one plant and move it to my veg space so I have one open spot to res change and check numbers. Any suggestions are appreciated!

Hey freak thx for the direction, brand new to forums, so bear with me. I like set hydro set up similar to mine space wise but I'm playing with dirt.

No problem! Everyone is fairly helpful around here. If you browse some of the journals youll quickly come across a ton of autos. I was in dirt my last grow in this tent. I like getting technical and working with nutes and ppms and things like that. Plus I love diy stuff so Im going with this system :). Its a lot to do with the journey as well as the destination. Feel free to start up a journal and people will surely pop in and have some tips. Asking people questions in their journals about their grows helps big time too. Happy growing!!

Hey im back got into convo with grouchy, looks like you got some fun growing your way freak, I had the seed helet problem used zip loc bag over the rooters soften them.up and the gits tossed em off after getting some humidity to. I got same issue with lower humidity, but I keep the temp right, and co2 air right just can't get the trifecta tho.

Always trying for the perfect conditions! Its tough lol. Ive been able to keep my humidity at 45% which is ok with me. They dont seem to mind it.

Do you think topping it provides more cola than just bending the whole thing over and tying it down at the same point indtead? I don't know so I'm asking your thoughts

Topping it forces the energy to go into 2 main colas or more depending on how many times you top. Also allows for a bit more symmetrical growth. Im going to be bending as well and likely doing a screen. Another thing topping does is help you manage height. I dont have the most room in my tent so thats gotta be on my mind. :)

I'm into trainING the LST type I haven't got so bold as I've seen some amazing stuff posted , some day. I saw in one forum that the only traing done was bending the main over early and that was it. Done. They bent 4 plants all in oposite trI angles and did some leaf triming and it looked like a so set up
I'm not lazy but cutting, cropping, topping are areas ill.have to work on, it's a mind set, if I cut it, it will die. Ha

haha its not for everyone. Ive done the training method and its fun as well. Im just picturing the screen in there and I want tops everywhere lol. Itll be an adventure! Well see what happens.

Same here with problems keeping humidity high. Humidity is practically zero where I am and was only 10% in my fridge space. I saw a post on here somewhere saying place a wet towel in front of the internal fan, I give it a go and my humidity is now around 40% and I give regular sprays to increase a bit more.

Anything that'll help! The towel method definitely works as you're essentially making a wick humidifier. Ive got one running all the time. I have to fill it up once a day.
