2nd Grow: Bodhi Seeds - Strawberry Fantasy

Hi @Gee64 I am using using organics, a mix of Down to Earth plus weekly feedings of diluted coconut water, rice water and raw organic honey diluted down. I did it on my last grow and seemed to work out well. For the DTE nutes, I use a combination of thier 333, rose & flower, and acid mixes for the base along with top dressing ever 3 to 4 weeks with thier Bio-Live mix
I have never used DTE's nutes but I only hear good things about DTE. Do you have to cook the base ammendments in or just mix and use?

Yes and no.. your questions/assertions forced us to verbally flesh out the method more instead of just saying “start at 12/12 cuz we said it’s legit”
All I'm saying Big K, is take your time. We already manipulate enough on indoor growing.
I'm not changing, sounds desperate and not calculated. Lol
Cheers folks

I cooked them for about a month, I went off reviews and that helped make my decision. Seems to be working, I reamended and recycled the soil from my last grow and gave it 3 weeks. I'm using the rest of the what I have and then going to change the Rose & Flower and Acid Mixes for thier Vegan and Bio-fish mixes.

Very cool👍👊 Good on you for jumping right in. Have you tried the smoke yet? Got any pics?

Hell yes I've been smoking it! Lol, tastes great! I posted my journal of the first grow. Of the 3 plants each had varying amounts of pine, citrus, and an almost sweet creaminess. Riker (#1) had the best flavor with an almost lime peel or zest flavor. Really wish I would have kept a cut of her, she was the best grower as well.🤷‍♂️

@Gee64 I harvested a little early front right plant had a little bud rot on one of her colas and got me nervous. I waited for all cloudy trichs minimal amber. Could have went another week or so, but high is long lasting and almost no ceiling, if you continually smoke, you keep getting higher! Nice buzzy head high that is light without being anxious or hyper, and then winds down to a relaxing body buzz that is still light

I just skimmed your journal. They are gorgeous!😍 Well done! They look like they smell sweet🥰

The one really finished with cool color❤️.

Nice pots too.

Sorry for the bud rot. I'm spoiled, I live in a desert so bud rot just doesn't happen. Getting humidity up is the tricky part here.
I'm in a relatively dry climate as well, that is why it worried my so much, but it was all in all a great learning experience and we have been enjoying the fruits of my labor. (Smal inside joke between my and the mrs, lol)

DTE amendments are decent. If you can find a grow store nearby, they usually offer deals and are cheaper than online. I use DTE for Dolomite Lime and Soft Rock Phosphate and both are real high quality. They’re on the pricier side for some things, but overall they’re real competitive in the 5 lb and under category and are just as good as Gaia Green in my experience.

about a week old now, all of them are flopping. I think I have the light where they need. Gave a little coconut water (diluted 4x what I usually feed) so hope the extra cal mag in there will help.

#3 and #10 showing a little twist, I'm thinking I hit them too hard on the light to try and stop the stretch.

Still maintaining 74f (lights off)- 80ishf (lights on) and 67%rh now or around .6kpa. I am a little bummed, it appears the t3 humidifier isn't built for a 3x3. I have my old one in there on low and with bost I can keep the environment where I need it. Without help, the t3 can't get past 59/60rh lights on.

If they’re getting stretchy and floppy your light isn’t close enough or your intensity is too low, take your pick, they do the same thing essentially. They’re stretching trying to reach more light. They get floppy because they try so hard to go taller they ignore all else, don’t grow the stem thicker, and end up falling over.

If you’re really positive your light is close enough, make sure you have a fan going to move the air gently in the room. The moment my plants come above ground they’re gently swaying due to the air circulation I have constantly. This will strengthen the entire plant, stem and all. You can point your fan directly at them if it has an oscillating setting otherwise point it above them or below them to get them to sway.

I’ve seen lots of people struggle/deal with this, even some of the top tier growers have accepted it as a part of their grow. Personally the only time I have ever had floppy saplings was when they weren’t getting enough sunlight and were trying to stretch out to reach it.

Yes, I actually lowered lights to 75%, I think they were mostly thirsty and beat, they seem to be perking up now. Color is better today. I'll try and take a quick pic (it's my day off😉)
