2L Hempy Coco Coir

I am reluctant to try and top/fim/lst because its my first attempt and all...
Drun,
Clones are like kids, you treat the first one real careful, worry about every little thing that can go wrong. By the third one you let them juggle steak knives in the back yard.

I was worried with my first batch of clones, but they're so easy to make (just like kids, just not as fun). I always have more than I can use, so I try different things with them to see what I can get away with (still talking about clones here).

Update: Deficiency

I noticed 2 plants are having deficiency; 1024 and Cheese. I think this is due to high PPM (1300) so I knock it down to 900 PPM and reduce the Farmer's Pride Bloom with the 2-Parts mix.

Now, I'm working on the closet and have them filled up too.

  • One hermie (Heavy Duty Fruity) is removed.
  • ATA Tundra (clone from regular seed) is confirmed male (for the breeding program)
  • AK-47 (clone from regular seed) is confirmed female

Other then that the plants are doing good, frosty and stinky. Running the 600w hps with 180w LED for a few weeks now. Changing out the LED for 400w hps tonight since today is the arrival of first frost. Tent will be running full capacity by tomorrow just got more coco coir few days ago been waiting for the roots to get a bit longer.

Your setup and grow are just inspiring. I am actually influenced a lot by your grow to be honest. Like the way you label and organize things. Your blog post and the way things run on your end with the Gas lantern routine got me to adopt it as well and it has done wonders.

+Reps for everything! :thankyou:

Blue Planet Nutrients > Thank you for the great nutrients. Can't wait to taste these buds. I might have to try out organic. Going to do some research to see if they work with coco coir.

ThatOneGuyy > Thank you for the kind words. :Namaste:How long have you been running the GLR? It's a wonderful thing production increased, now we have a new weapon in fighting Cannabis prohibition.

Hey 12, been reading up on your journal for a little while, and I must say you have a very nice setup. I have been having problems with the soil I was using, and was able to find some coir near me and decided I would try that route. I just put my first clone in a 2 liter with coir yesterday and it is getting BPN organic line. I will be putting up some pics later today.

I have been on the GLR since Oct. 12 and they have had plenty of time to show sign of rejection to this new cycle yet instead of rejecting they are thriving. Even before starting my first grow I always found it strange that they said to have the light on for 18hrs.

Mr. Krip ~ I've read the use with organic nutrients and 100% coco coir got mix reviews. There isn't many journal with it. Most I see are using coco coir specific nutrients, and nutrients gear towards hydroponic. I'll experiment with this once I get few harvest under my belt with coco and 2-parts from BPN. Organic is good for everyone and the environment.

HomeMedGrower ~ Thank you. I'm very interested in your 2L coco grow with organic nutes. How often do you feed the 2L coco with organic nute? May try out in the future.

ThatOneGuyy ~ Glad to hear you're getting good results from GLR. I've been using this for a month now and the money I've saved on electricity bill is nice, had to trimmed down the tent 4 times, it's an awesome light schedule people need to give it a try. Welcome to the GLR club, the only rule to this club is spread GLR awareness. ;}

Today will be day 5 in the 2 liter I have fed the first four and will use just ph'd water for the next 2. I didn't let the roots grow long enough in the cloner so I believe they are still trying to reach the res.

I think I will go on a feed feed feed water. When I just water it will be about 30% runoff.

I'm going to try a few different things with this once more clones are rooted. Should be a fun experiment. :peace:

Twelve12, my next grow will be using organics in coco-coir in air pots. I'll be doing a side-by-side with BPN's three lines of nutes to see how each perform. It should give us an idea how well organics work with coco. That journal will be starting this Friday or next Monday at the latest.

How are you going to be watering your Coco Air pots with organics? If you don't mind I'm trying to figure out which way I want to go. I'm not sure if a hempy bucket or WTW would be better.

I will be feeding them with every watering. I will start off with a mild feeding schedule and then ramp it up. I will also be relying on Corey from BPN to give some advice as well. I want to maximize yield and give his nutes the best chance for success.

HomeMedGrower ~ Looking forward to the experiments. Right now I'm using coco in airpots (1-3gal), and in 2L hempy. With BPN 2-parts works great, water every other day the plants love it. Not sure how often to feed with organic using coco but I know it's not good to let them dry out like soil before another feeding. Organic and coco will increase aroma so I might have to invest in another scrubber...

SteveHman ~ You must have a factory running all these tests. Great to see you're testing out the entire BPN nuts to see which is best. Looking forward to it. So far the plants are loving the 2-parts for coco. If organic dance well with coco I'll make the switch. You've mentioned feeding with every watering, but how often will you be feeding the plants?

Hash Hound ~ GLR is still new and starting to take over the community if one let it. Superior light cycle with proven results.

R2MNot ~ Thanks for helping out Hash Hound with the links.

I think I will have to water them every 2~3 days, not sure yet. It will be my first attempt at air pots with coco, so it will be dependent on how fast they dry out. My initial guess is every 2 days but I will adjust as needed. I am sure they will feed more as they grow though. My moms in hempy (coco) are feeding every two days.
