2019/2020 Outdoor Grow Season

You getting true hamaprodites (male/female 50%) or just nanners down low.

I run a fair amount of IHG gear and just clean out the btm 3rd of the plant early in flower and solves that issue.

It's my experience that this is somewhat common with the HIGH THC hybrids. Cleaning up the under-skirt is very helpful.
some worse than others, some with nanas spread at all branch joints & return after plucking, some with not so many yet still return after plucking, some with only a few that do not return after plucking, regardless i will destroy the seed of the types that return after plucking and keep the non returning type, im prepared that up to 80-90% of my pollen chucks may not make the grade, have been lucky in years past where up to 40% have made the grade, eg the GDP x C99 pollen chuck is more stable than most commercially bought types, grown at least 1.5k of those out with only 2 herm after very bad errors made by myself to stress them to the max, a very solid strain with +90% female to male ratio, pollen chucks can be as good as anything available anywhere though gotta be prepared there will be lots of flops in between those gem outcomes such as the GDP x C99

*ive been very fortunate with the IHG gear & had no herm issues, though ive read on other forums a fair number of people have had herm issues, have a small herm issue with the IHG Platinum Buffalo x GDP x C99 pollen chuck, though the other IHG pollen chucks are good for no herm probs

**yes its also my rule of thumb to chop out the lower 1/3rd of the branch growth on my plants as it contributes to better bud growth on the upper, though the nanas are mostly on the upper branch joins ive found?

an example below of some stubborn genetics, the Original Cannaventure Pure Raspberry Kush were a purp Pheno, then a (non purp)Mosca C99 pollinated that purp female, the offspring resulted in purp females, then the PRK x C99 were again pollinated with a non purp Cannarado Barney Rubble male, the resulting offspring were purp again, & then the last pollination of that PRK x C99 x Barney Rubble by a non purp Bodhi Sunshine Daydream male has resulted in the purp expression still dominant...how strong are those purp genes???

*summer here so cooler temps are not a factor in the coloration of this strain

Geeeeez the years click by fast, here's some old stock pollen chuck seeds ive saved to hopefully outcross again if any germinate

#25 - Spice of Life Sweet Tooth #3 x Dutch Passion Blueberry 2005
#6 - Hindu Kush x Citral x Dutch Passion Blueberry 2004
#23 - Dutch Passion Blueberry x Dutch Passion Blueberry 2004
#19 - Spice of Life Sweet Tooth #3 x Spice of Life Sweet Tooth #3 2nd cross 2005
#28 - Sensi Seeds Mexican Sativa x Greenhouse Seeds White Rhino 2007
#4 - Seeds of Africa South African Skunk x Durban Poison x Sweet Tooth #3 2004
D1 - Big Buddha Original UK Cheese 1st release in regular seeds x Federation Seeds Mikado 2009
#3 - Spice of Life Sweet Tooth #3 x KC Brains Haze Special 2004
F1 - unknown combination of various strains performed under psychedelic substances, plant has an very heavy yield, resistant to mold, very potent with no ceiling 2009

#3 namely Spice of Life Sweet Tooth #3 x KC Brains Haze Special 2004 is possibly the strongest type ive ever pollen chucked, extremely difficult to manicure because of ultra hash/resin content

every pic has a story, the story here are that N - UK Cheese x Blueberry x Mikado x Cannarado Barney Rubble being only a few yrs old show 99% germination rate
though the SD2 - Reservoir Seeds Sour Diesel x Chemdog x Romulan date back to 2011, they are losing their viabilty to germinate, better do some more pollen chucking with those before they all lose germination ability
SD2 are by far the stinkiest type ive ever grown, a single plant can be smelt from hundreds of yards/metres away, one small nug will stink up the whole house

*2 seeds per jiffy allow for male percentage, so if 1 male & 1 female the male will be cut, if 2 females the best will be kept while the worse cut, saves growing out a large pot only having 1 plant that ends up male

**in general i would not recommend the above method of killing off one plant and leaving its dead root mass entangled with a live plant, as this can draw unhealthy microbes and fungi which once established in an area are almost impossible to erradicate, i use a strong brew of tricho/mycorrh + other beneficials every 3 weeks in all pots to keep the nasties in check

Top work, mister ecks.
Loving the look of that summer frost!
cheers DD, those IHG throw out good frost especially with the Platinum crosses, adding the GDP x C99 turned out pretty good, my fav IHG pollen chuck are the Timeless Montage(Mendo Montage x Dosidos) x Cannarado Barney Rubble(Fruity Pebbles OG x Orange Cookies) got some coming along atm, get a few pics up soon

Those IHG platinums are very frosty girls.
For me it was lust at first sight.
One day...
:morenutes:
i can say there is power in its sauce, some frosty types can be a letdown with no real heat, i havnt checked IHG types lately, last i saw they were expanding out into other types and leaving the Platinum crosses to history? neptuneseedbank usually has a good range of IHG gear
*my error, still good Platinum crosses at neptuneseedbank, i snagged 2 packs of the Platinum Silk for pollen chucks at a later date

this is a repost but important to present here -
i use fresh river water so it has various minerals etc so i do not have CalMag issues like Reverse Osmosis water, i use the Canna Coco A & B Grow & Bloom formula, sometimes other locally produced & much cheaper versions of the Canna range, i run the early stage growth 500ppm, later stage growth 800ppm, early flower 500ppm, later flower 1100ppm with Canna PK 13-14 used for 6 days about 2/3rds through flower stage added to the A & B flower 15mls per 10ltr combined to1100ppm, always aim at 6.0 pH, last 3 weeks of flower gradual decline to 300ppm for last week, i don't believe starving plants in later life makes them happy, everyone has their own idea on this issue of whether to flush or not, i just like my plants to be happy! a tricho/mycorrh treatment every 3 wks cos of previous mentioned embedded disease syndrome that infests my grow area

Good looking plants X! If you don't mind I'd like to watch the progress :) I'm really digging the breeding you have done. Gives me hope for a breeding project I have planned
hi @Dankman_420 , everyone is welcome here, appreciate your sentiment though im not really breeding, a 'Real' breeder will usually work a strain for years to come to the final result, im using only a small number of seeds & crossing them(pollen chucking) just throwing the dice in the hope of a nice gene combination, about 70% of the chucks are flops, about 1 chuck in 15 will be the '1', as good as anything anywhere you can find, & if its a decent size plant that was pollinated there will be a few thousand seeds to play around with
