2019/2020 Outdoor Grow Season

For interest sake in what are you growing and what nutes..
hi, im using coco/perlite 80%/20% mostly in fabric pots though some are in hard plastic pots, have found the quality of growth between fabric & hard plastic light yrs apart, using general 2 part grow & 2 part bloom coco nutes, sometimes from the Hy-Gen brand available here & sometimes the General Hydroponics FloraGrow & FloraBloom 2 part nutes, i add a one off treatment of tricho/mycorr blend every 3 wks, no other additives are used, river water is used so no cal/mag issues, pH 6.0 is always aimed at with nute concentration of 800ppm at this stage of bloom(3wks)

Super cool grow in a very interesting area. I hope your laws start changing for the better in the coming years.
thanks GHempster, its very hard to know where the laws concerning cannabis are heading here, there is a very strong band of medicos resistant to even medical cannabis much less recreational use, the national capital territory Canberra only a few mths ago legalized recreational use & an allowance of a few plants, though the other states seem resistant, im not entirely up on whats happening here but progress towards legalization for recreational use seems a distant dream so far

some bud pics from last season...

UK Cheese x Blueberry x Mikado x Barney Rubble - gotta be in the top 5 for potency this grower has come across

Cannaventure Pure Raspberry Kush x Mosca C99 x Cannarado Barney Rubble

GDP x Mosca C99 - possibly the best ever pollen chuck for this grower, nil herm tendency, 50-55 days flower, great taste & potency, bag appeal, mold resistance & general uniformity of pheno...what a gal!

I'm pulling up a chair, this looks interesting.
welcome...things are off to a bit of a rocky start, most of those new pollen chucks being grown out now have some herm tendencies, thats how it goes, for every 10 pollen chucks done i usually find only about 2-4 batches of seeds any good, the rest show undesirable growth traits as well as herming etc, its all a numbers game with these new strains cos so many will herm, and im not into plucking the nannas off so most of those seeds will be binned

Where do I find that Platinum Buffalo cross??

I've ran Buffalato a few. Looks like you have some growing skills good job.

Oh and welcome to 420mag - we friendly here. Love your pics.

cheers Bob, thats a nice Buffalato you have there! the IHG Platinum Buffalo was a small release by IHG about 3-5yrs ago, not many packs were made, i had 3 really nice girls out of a feminized 5 pack, hit one with a good GDP x C99 stud, and another with the Cannarado Barney Rubble(FPOG x Orange Cookies) stud, i have some pics of those original Platinum Buffalo gals somewhere, will post them when i find em...glamorpusses for sure, with potency too!

*though some of the Platinum Buffalo x GDP x C99 turned out good, many of the plants from that pollen chuck are not good phenos & a few herm, so not many more will be grown out, the Platinum Buffalo x Barney Rubble pollen chuck was a flop, with 70% of pheno undesirable, so they wont be grown out again, have some IHG Timeless Montage(Mendo Montage x Dosidos) x GDP x C99, and Timeless Montage x Barney Rubble growing out now, they are a good pollen chuck with very small % undesirable, the Timeless Montage were the only survivors of an extreme heatwave that passed through at the time killing many other seedlings of different strains, so its genetics are suitable for this very hot region

2 pics below are Cannaventure Pure Raspberry Kush x C99 x Cannarado Barney Rubble, the original PRK was a purp pheno and even after being watered down by the C99 & Barney Rubble the purp still shines through, & right now the newest pollen chuck with this cross namely Cannaventure Pure Raspberry Kush x C99 x Cannarado Barney Rubble x Bodhi Sunshine Daydream are showing purpling sign 3wks into flower, not just a pretty face there's real potency in this one, fantastic Raspberry Syrupy terpines accompany

cheers Carmen, never know whats around the corner with pollen chucks, the majority do not make the grade, only a few pass, thats enough for us
I have a couple of plants in my outdoor grow that might soon become soap ;)

yes life is too short to waste time on plants that do not perform to your needs, do you really make soap out of plants? i never seen that before?
Yes, it's very easy and loads of fun... juice the leaves and use that instead of water and if you want to you can add tincture. Another fun thing is paper making... then use the homemade dagga paper to make greeting cards and gift wrap / packaging. Cottage industry :hippy:

thats new to me making soap with it, i had read the plant fibre makes the finest quality paper & ropes, and the clothing made from it is very durable as well, makes me sad here there is a major long running drought and these massive cotton farms make the depleted rivers run backwards into their pumps for a crop that is the worst ever for water usage, hemp being far less water intensive than cotton, governments can be such dumbasses a lot of the time!

these new pollen chucks look ok since flip to 12/12 21 days ago, though out of the 8 different types in there only a couple are coming through well without bad herm tendency, never seen such a high rate of herming among pollen chucks before? still have 16 other new pollen chucks to test anyway so its always a numbers game as it is, the 2 best types here are the Dynasty Platinum Huckleberry Cookies x Archive Face Off OG, whose terpines are an exceptional blend of sickly rich strawberry syrup combined with an methanol/octane gas, and the UK Cheese x Blueberry x Mikado x Cannarado Barney Rubble x Bodhi Sunshine Daydream

You getting true hamaprodites (male/female 50%) or just nanners down low.

I run a fair amount of IHG gear and just clean out the btm 3rd of the plant early in flower and solves that issue.

It's my experience that this is somewhat common with the HIGH THC hybrids. Cleaning up the under-skirt is very helpful.
