neither slurry or runoff will tell you what is really going on

I have grown in soil for ever

microbes break down elements into usable form

the plant has it's own ph so to speak in the rhizosphere

if you are growing organically then none of what hydro understands....means anything whatsoever

so no ph-ing the water
no filtering.....not even chlorine

if growing organically

tea every week
microbes once a week or bi weekly

and that is it

no slurry tests
no runoff tests
no water ph

all that does is a big fat.........nothing when it comes to organics

now if growing outdoors
in ground
then slurry and soil samples matter because you have to know what needs to be added to get the best from your crops

if he is using nutes and his medium is something like promix
then 6.5ph feed and get about 10% runoff
and only water when the pot becomes light...just before the plant is gonna wilt

That's what my cali professor said,, and he has been growing for decades...
I would research this till the cows come home....

I'm am here to learn and I really appreciate the ones that are truly being helpful. I admire the knowledge and experience that's been accumulated by these folks, and thank you for sharing.
I hope I can eventually share what I learn with others too.

Cheers

You're doing a great job.
You will have to lower that ph to 6.5. I'd use a few waterings mixed to 6.0. Calibrate your ph pen. It should have come with 2 packs of ph standards.
Increase Nitrogen and Phosphorus. Your plants will need this. I would recommend Earth Juice organic Grow. 1/4 tsp per gallon. Ph adjusted. You may need ph up for this as ESarah is very acidic.
Other than that...you've solved the problem. If you don't see green leaves being produced in 2 weeks, retest soil with all 4 tests.
The problem may have stemmed from an improperly calibrated ph pen. This is why I recommend the ph/moisture probes in conjunction with the pen.

I agree with the above assessment... I think your ph pen got you off track... So lesson of today for growing.... your only as good as your equipment or the information it gives you. recalibrate your meter every 2 weeks, and i would recalibrate it every time for the next 3 times you use it BECAUSE you need to know how well its keeping calibration and YOU need the peace of mind knowing you gave your girls what they needed...

You are on the right track! Before long you will be loading up your own... Nothing like killing your own food... Just got off work and enjoying some of mine....

A few new pictures after dealing with the ph issues.
I fed them today for the second time since adjusting for the deficiencies and ph level, caused by my ph pen being off.
I think they are picking up and growing again. Thanks again :)

Unless there is s good reason not to, I think I'm going to flip them at the end of this week/year. They will be at 66 days.

You should scrog net them while they are still short enough. The tallest plant might stretch too tall but if you LST it during the stretch you can keep an even canopy.

Just a thought...
