1st Time Growing - Autoflower Strain - Tutankhamon In Soil - 240W LED

Day 2 since the light switch. Again she was very alive this morning.

I done more LST on her, it doesn't look like it because she is bushy. I will leave her for a few hours and come back to see what leaves are covering bud sites. May remove bigger fan leaves again today to allow good airflow under her and better lighting.

This was before tying her down.

Here is a shot of her all by herself in the grow tent

Really blows my mind how I manage 2 plants inside there. Lesson learned.

If that plant your growing is not an autoflower, consider taking some clones???
OMG! I never thought about doing that...wow missed that one.

However there is no real proof that she is or is not an autiflower and if I take from her it may cause problems...day 3 today with 12/12 and am hoping to see it's sex soon.

What would you recommend? Would hate to lose yield if it's an autoflower cause she looks like she will produce. Should I wait?

Was also told to read up on "Super Autoflower" and after reading that I can honestly say now I really have no idea what I got.

So here we are on day 68 - Week 10

King Tut is destroyed! She looks good from the top, but damn she is just destroyed! Very bad light burn. I have raised the light even higher to the 22" range and hope we can stop this bull**it!

The lower areas are fine, and the tops are scorched. I was going to flush her today thinking its nutrient burn but after more reading again it keeps pointing to light burn.

The other plant (Cheese) is fine and because she is still vegging and has been for 68 days, she has not been affected by the light...for an autoflower 68 days in veg, thats crazy, and we still have a minimum of 8 weeks of flower whenever she starts, if its a she..who knows!

Here are some photos of the damage, I will be happy if I get something to smoke off this, lesson learned, I am begging her not to die on me. I am happy that Cheese is still in Veg because we can avoid this for when she starts to flower.

I am still thinking I will flush the cheese plant because she is probably gonna enter flower soon I hope, and would be nice to get rid of that salt buildup from the last 50ish days

I dont wanna get excited because the last time I said she was flowering, she never and it was just another set of leaves...but this is a few days since we switched to 12/12 lighting....

....so...is this a pistol in the middle next to the purple pipe cleaner? It looks kinda big for a pistol, maybe that damn thing is just growing more leaves and is laughing at me for cursing at it so much haha

Time for this cat to smoke one and hit the sack!

Smoke em if ya got em!

Just home from work and light have been on for 45 minutes.

I watered the cheese plant yesterday. I put 4 liters of ph water and I put 4 liters of nute water.

Today she is alive and showing it. These stems were not like that yesterday.

Is this what they call the stretch? Only thing changed was lights set to 22"

I never had a rapid growth from my king tut like I just got from Cheese one one night. All that middle action is awesome!

Going to remove a few leaves off her now, tie those new shoots down along with the rest of her and get very high.

Hi IRN are you only using the mars hydro reflector 48 light? I have just received one of these and was wondering what you think of it

Hey SRFS yeah all I got is a reflector 48. Nothing else but that. It's a tight place but it seems to work very well

Im right here with you Indy, I been following since the beginning to see if they would flower. My Ak48 autoflowers just started week 9 with no signs of flowering or sex..

Sorry for the lack of info lately. With my busy work schedule I work overnights the past few weeks. I will provide a nice update tomorrow when I'm off for a day. Lots has been happening..good bad and ugly haha

Can't wait to share

Thanks guys :)

Howdy everyone, it's been a while since I last updated on here

I have been pretty upset with one of my plants and have been fighting to get her under control. I think I am at a loss with her, and anything that happens will be taken as a lesson learned

We will be discussing the King Tut plant which has not been very well, and many times I just wanted to take it and throw it out, but keep giving her a chance to prove me wrong

It was one of two things that has caused all the burning, either nutes or light being too close.

Now, I was thinking nutes, and have done reading that kept pointing that it was not nute burn but it was a light burn instead.

If you look at the plant, she seems nice on the lower areas and in the middle

Towards the edge of the pot, the plant seems like she is scorched, burned, toasted, crispy or whatever words you wanna use

At the time of the burn the light was set to 12" from the plant. I could feel heat when I placed my arm next to the buds so this made me believe it was a light burn and not nute burn.

I am watering about 1 or 2 times a week now. I have been adding much more water in her just in the event it is a nute burn, and I have cut the feeding in half so it is getting 2ml/L of water now instead of 4ml

I have done a mini flush on her, about 40L went through to where the runoff was almost clear and the pH was 6.3-6.5 runoff

The first runoff was showing a pH of 5.5 - Advanced Nutrients Perfect pH doesn't seem to give the perfect pH unless 5.5 is a good number for runoff with soil ph and water ph being different

Here are a bunch of pictures of King Tut right now

From looking at the plant, the hairs are white, there are a mix of red hairs as well

This is week 6 of flower and she is nowhere near being on schedule for 8 weeks. I am probably looking at 10 or 11 weeks total, so another 4-5 weeks if she dont die on me by then.

Tomorrow I will be removing all the burned tips of the leaves. They fall off to the touch they are that dried and crispy.

I dont care at this point if I get 5 grams off her, she will be grown until she is done or dies.

The buds are not filling out any at all, but she is giving off a very nice smell of lemon or citrus fruits when you move her around. Its not a heavy smell at all, I am quite surprised I honestly though plants would smell a lot when growing and this one has not been giving any odor at all. The lemon smell os only noticeable when you are face first in the bud, or after touching her I smell my hand and can notice the strong lemon smell.

I am also thinking of doing a big flush on her again for the next watering, and not feeding any more nutes from this point forward only pH water. Not sure how much of an issue that will cause by only feeding pH water for the next 4 - 5 weeks but I really have no way to tell what has happened or caused this issue. My cheese plant is thriving and is not showing any signs of burns or anything.

Some say nute burn, but leaves at lower areas are fine, some say light burn, which I can see because the tops are crispy...either way this is an UGLY sight, I really didn't want to share this with you all but it is what it is. I just want some smoke which I dont think I will get from her. I can't even harvest early in the event there is a issue because there really is nothing to smoke, all I have is white and orange hairs and no real buds visible. Hopefully they kick in and swell and give me something to enjoy for the efforts

Our Cheese plant seems to have not yet showed any signs of sex. The lights have been switched to 12/12 for a little over a week now and there is nothing.

The tent is in a very dark area and there are no light leakes at all, nothing is getting in, the vents get closed up before lights out and only fans and exhaust are circulating air

This plant is now at day 74 of veg (Week 11) and nothing to show other than glowing bud sites (i think)

I have left both plants alone for 2 days in the tent without opening or disturbing them too much. Just a peek to make sure they are alive more or less

Here is our Cheese plant...not sure if its auto of photo because she never automatically flowered and under 12/12 ligfhting for a week or more she is still not showing anything

She will get more LST love tomorrow if there is more growth which I expect because she wont slow down any it seems, luckily she is not burned like the other plant, very healthy looking. I will be decreasing her nutes to 3.4 dosage just to be safe for when she enters flowering, I would hate to see another plant do the same thing as King Tut especially back to back

+Reps for your persistence, desire to learn, and attention to detail. I wish I had the answers that could help:Namaste:
Thanks golfer :)

I do t think there is any correct answer to what happened..its hard to tell what actually done the damage.

Main thing is to learn from this. I think I'm gonna cut ALL nutes back to half going forward. But still not going to give KT anything else but plain water until the end. She is cut off from nutes and will be flushed heavily tomorrow.

Would much rather have a issue with not enough nutes than having a plant burn up on me if it was from too much nutes

Oh the joys of growing haha

So I am just home from work...and lights just came on. Lots has happened over the past 48 hours.

I will update in King Tut later..this is the update on our Cheese.

Today is day 75, and I THINK this is day 1, week 1 of flower.

These hairs were not on the plant yesterday and today I see shit happening. There is no way what I see growing is a leaf..its too clear. I don't see any sacks of males...so I think we finally got ourselves a lady here folks!!

Time for a watering she is dry a few inches and getting light...but before that I will open her up by removing a few leaves if necessary after I tie her down with more LST...

The watering will consist of a mini flush for her yo do a reset as we enter flower. The reason for this to prevent what happened to my King Tut plant. If I do the same it will look the same.

King Tut update to come later
