Ya see I think the reason the reservoir sealbheld is the tote plastic is half as thick as the buckets and flat. The leak from the buckets is about 1 oz every 24 hours but I want no leaks period. I figure if I put the washer in the right spot and use the pool silicone around the edges to make a bead I should be good to go!:thumb:

Honestly, knowing what I know now, i would go with rubbermaid of i did it again. My res. is rubbermaid. Much easier to work with. The site pattern is too close unless I SOG. I don't usually run more than 6 plants, and that gets crowded

Man I have to tell you, and all the others reading this post that i love this forum. I've used others. Roll It Up was a fav. But invariably someone will say something. Then someone else will question his sexual preference, then another will offer proof of a romantic relationship between the second guy and his cat. THEN it gets ugly. It's kinda like swimming with sharks.

420Mag is so polite. So grown up. I look forward to seeing a reply and don't wonder "What the hell is this guy gonna say next". It's strange! In a good way. I'm do happy to be here.
 
I've found this place to be an invaluable trove of inspiration and information. Just the encouraging words and the smirks at the fuckups get you through to the next point. I am very happy a place like this exists.

I used that in the live wells in my boat once. There was something toxic in it and it killed all the fish. I'm not sure what it would be like on plants though.
 
Sad day for my rdwc had to basically destroy the buckets to get it apart, only one bulkhead made it out alive. I have more coming in the morning and it's off to the hydro store to get 4 new ones and an arbor and 2-3/8 hole saw to do this right,

That sucks! Do you have a Walmart nearby? They have a killer selection of flat-sided tubs. If you wear ratty old pajama pants and slippers you can blend in and get out without the Wal-zombies even knowing you were there.
