Update day 17 of Flower
Ok the flower tent looks great. This morning I was blown away with the growth again. Lots of stuff growing big and the dominate tops are getting to be 3 and 4 inches taller than the second screen. The tops I pulled down have turned up and started growing as well. They must have 2 inches in growth the last couple of days. Now the flowers look to be getting bigger. It is interesting to see them grow. Nothing big at the moment of course. I think in a few days but next week for sure, the girls will be going into full on flower production. The timing would be correct and they seem to want to be making flowers now.
The clone tent is up. The tent was the cheapest 2 x 4 foot tent I could get off of amazon. All the reviews for the "bargain" tents say they suck. The zippers don't work, it is not light tight, blah blah. Well guess what, my zippers don't work and the tent is not light proof. In short it is a piece of shit. I can not say enough negative things about the damn tent. I do not know what I am going to do to get this thing closed up. drape a blanket over it probably. It was $70 and I do not care if it was 7 cents, crap is crap and this is so frustrating. Every time I think about going cheap I usually regret it.
Back to the clones. Only 8 of the original 12 survived. One Tut and 7 PPP. That blows. I do not know why there was such a disparity. I probably need to get better at selecting potential clones and the Tut may also be a strain that is not easy to clone. Who knows? So that means the party will be rolling after this harvest. I have plenty of seeds, but this was something that I wanted to learn and see if I could do. So I am very glad I did. The roots look crazy. i did not take pics of them. I was just trying to finish. I put 3 gallons of water in each bucket. So that is 24 gallons. The water comes up to just under the bottom of the net pot. With the air stones this will wet the bottoms and that should be enough for the seedlings. I put in very weak amounts of Grow A/B and B-52. I will probably double that tomorrow. Get them up to 150mL.
The flower tent res is 1150 PPM and 5.6 pH. I am going to keep an eye on the pH but this is the pH perfect stuff from AN so I should not have a problem. Right now we are getting rain so the RH for the last 3 days has been high. I will be breaking out the dehumidifier soon if this keeps up.
So all in all everything is good. The tent is very disappointing. The wife is going to go ape shit if I do not figure something out about it other than putting a blanket over it. So here are the pics:

BTW, anybody sound up if you have an opinion about this, the clones seem to be in flower?!? I do not know why other than the stress of cloning them made them think that they should flower. The whole time they were in the clone tent they were under 24/7 light. I plan on keeping them on a 24/7 light through out veg. how long will it take them to come out of this fake flower time? Thanks for any input you may have about this.
Can't happen. Multiple cuts from multiple strains. No chance they can all flower. Check your timer. Remember, they are mature plants so they will readily pre-flower.
Umm... Not sure how to break this to you, but, umm... That "veg" tent might need to be renamed. Your other tent is 6-8 weeks out. You're gonna have a forest in there if you veg them for 8 weeks starting from this point. That my friend, is a good problem to have! It takes too much discipline for me to ever run a perpetual grow. Lol

I am going to try my hand at fluxing. So they will take a while to grow big.
I am not on a timer. I just have the light plugged in to the wall outlet. It stays on. I would say preflower is accurate. There is new growth on them all. So I guess it is ok. I will start to look at them hard now that they are in the buckets. I will be topping them soon. I will not wait for them to get to tall. Then I will be stripping them bare except for the tops. I already have my screws and my gardening tie downs.

Ok, I apologize for the multiple posts, but it is kinda my journal . Anyway my wife had kittens when she saw the blanket over the tent. I calmly and lovingly explained that the tent was shitty and the zippers didn't work. She looks at me like I am retarded or at least mentally handicapped, and says to use a candle. I said how is a candle going to help? She then gets a candle and greases the zipper with it and magically the zipper works. WTF, candle wax?!? Who would have thought to use candle wax?
Well tomorrow I am going to go buy candles.

Spitz is spot on... mine grew faster.. more developed... once rooted they will develop fast...I looked at it as once they rooted they already seemed a few weeks into veg compared to a seed where ALL the shoots have to develop. The clones already where at the branching stage.. seeds stay little bushy things forever..
yah you may need to rethink and reclone... you have one tut and the 7 widows .. grow the poop out of them and then pop clones in a few weeks off them.... I just did it...

That is an excellent suggestion. I will really keep that in mind. Cannibalize these when they get big and then hopefully get 4 of the Tuts. I will really consider that.
I have to say something about the smell of the flower tent right now. It has the minty smell again but also a very pronounced fruity smell. Think citrus. I believe that to be the PPP. It would make sense why it is so strong smelling as there are four of them in the tent. If my sense of smell was a bit better I might be able to narrow it down a bit more. The reason to bring this up is if it taste like it smells and it is good smoke, that might be my favorite. However, the PPP is also the one strain in the tent with a THC of 20%. Both of the others are much higher. So it is so hard to say what strain will be favored over another.
I also want to grow my Purple Kush. After seeing Spitz's, it looks rather yummy. Right now I will grow out the clones. After that I don't think I will keep both strains. I will keep one and then add the PK. I am also going to wait for Spitz's smoke report of the PK. Looks are nice, but the smoke quality is the end all be all. These aren't roses we are growing after all!

what I like about clones they can flower faster cause they are mature
what I don't like
I cant get the yield out of a clone there isn't as much stretch
and I don't have the height to veg until its tall enough to throw into bloom
besides I don't like long veg times

Looking very nice Bama! I'm interested to see how you work the screen once those ladies start growing through.
Also good to know about that cheap tent -- I think I may be looking at the same one as you in hopes to get it as a drying tent, but if it doesn't seal up then it's a waste of $$ for me.

Hey CCH! I am not sure how much I like or dislike the clones yet. It is def something that I wanted to learn and play with. Now I will see if it is worth it to me. Right now the clone/veg tent is still cheaper than buying one round of seeds. So we will see.
I have to say that for tents, I went with the top of the line gorrilla grow tent for the 4 x 8. It is awesome in every way. Zippers work, only 3 pinprick light leaks and just a solid tent. But it was expensive. So I went cheap this time and wish I had not. should have bought the gorrilla lite tent. They are not as thick or tall and come with a substantial savings. But they are still 2 - 3 times as expensive as what this tent was. So if money is tight you can go with the cheap one, but I would recommend going with the gorrilla.
I love these glasses. They just work. I have not had the time to be in the flower tent the last couple of days, but i will be in there today I hope to do some cleaning up and just spend a few minutes with the girls.
Those glasses will let it be nice in there for me.

Yah the LED's do bother my eyes as well. I had a set of those glasses in my hand at the grow shop til I saw the price... holy cow.. hafta put that on a wish list hehe...

AHH yes that totally makes sense Cronic my clones in flower didn't stretch yet my PC from seed hit the light almost... I thought it was the strain. When i grew that one from seed I scrogged it so it was hard to notice stretch with that...

Yah i knew someone had to make some cheaper the cloud 7 or what ever the name where 175 if i recall.....
So as for the tent.. My 2x4 tent was a cheapie and the zippers are kinda crappy but do work better than when I bought it... I have been in it and yes not 100% a few pin holes here and there... but I have to say it works... I know I will get a better one someday or just have a flower room separate but.. not all the cheap ones are crap... definitely not as good but at the time it worked with my budget and it has done the trick so far... Maybe i just had lower expectations. I didn't have a good one to compare to.. The one i tried to make was a laff so I was ok with the cheapie tent...

Update 18 in Flower
Well the flower tent is awesome. Almost nothing but goodness coming from in there. I am getting a bit of a Calmag def now. Tomorrow when I add some water I will also be adding in some Calmag. I am not positive this is a new def or just left over from an older def but it has been a few days since I added some so it can not hurt.
This morning the PPM was at 1130. I added 3 gallons of water. I then added 150mL each of the Sensi Bloom A/B. That brought my PPM up to 1400 almost on the dot. So that is the highest I have seen it in my res so far and now that I am using RO water that is almost entirely plant food and supplements. I checked the PPM a few hours later and the PPM was at 1360. Not a huge change but it just shows the girls are eating.
The other way to tell the that they are eating is all of the new growth. Now have have 12 tops past the second screen. I have started to push them to adjoining squares but I am also weary of blocking the growth under them. It is a pretty tricky process for me. This is going to be one of those skills I will have to just keep practicing to see if I can get it down pretty well.
Flower development was noticeable today. There are quite a few more buds in there now and they are getting bigger. Not just a bunch of hair sticking out but also now the flower forming under the hair and a lot more of the hair (I mean pistils when I say hair). So i am glad that I put in some more of the Bloom. Tomorrow will be more Calmag and then Friday will be another round of supplements. I will continue to increase my PPM a little bit. I am trying to get to the 1600 ppm mark and then if they are still loving life I will take them to 1800.
So here are some picks. The first two are with the glasses the last three are with out. Also I tried to show in the picks how I was tieing them down and out training them to let the side branches of the major stems get exposed to direct light. This has an amazing effect on the branches. They take off like a roman candle kinda like they believe they are a stem instead of a branch. This is all part of the plan. I am hoping to have a Forrest
