1st Grow In Coco: 70% With 30% Perlite

Forget 1/4 strength go full or go home!
GH isn't good for your ladies at full strength.
Since coco is hydroponic it requires a careful monitoring according to the needs of your ladies.
Soil grows you can go full strength but I still wouldn't.
Not this particular synthetic nutrient. :Namaste:
You can't eat a prime rib roast all at once. At least I can't.
The undigested nutrients will build in the coco in the form of salts.
Eventually locking out the roots ability to function properly.
Even at 1/4 strength GH can still maintain a lady.
Once you learn to read their needs you will see the steady improvement of a crop.
Happy growing.
Bill

I am planning on using Geo Flora on the next grow in coco. It sounds easier and healthier. Ever used that Bill?

Excellent. I guess it wouldn’t be a good idea to switch to the GeoFlora with this run? Flush again and add a scoop of the Geoflora?

I don't see why not .
Its exactly what I did.

Day 60: After bumbling with GH nutes for weeks, I decided with the advise of @Bill284 to flush my plants and start @Geofloranutirents bloom for the end of the run. So much easier & we'll see how idiot proof this stuff is... I was getting brown spots and hopefully they will be a memory in a few days. After top dressing 1/3 cup into each of my 3 gallon pots and watering it in 2 days ago, the grow tent has a little slight manure sent from the organics I suppose. The browning was worse on Big Bud.

Green Crack and Amnesia are looking better with only slight browning.

Hi Bill,

I want to thank you for your help! I have flushed my plants and top dressed with Geoflora Bloom. I am watering daily now til run off. Do I need to keep using Calmag every watering or just ph water to 5.8 or both? Also I have a very similar light as your WeeGrow light. I bought mine from the local hydro store and there wasn't much info in the box. It has the same Meanwell driver but has 2 of them ELG-240-48AB. Mine said Home Grown LED on the box. Anyway, how are you determining you light height?

Hello @DeeBoy ladies look good.
They recommend keeping the coco wet without having to get runoff every time.
This will lengthen time between top dressing.
They do say you to use calmag but I didn't see how often.
I have been using a 10 L jug because its just a few girls and I have been putting calmag in every other time I mix a jug.
I know that really isn't the answer you were looking for.
Let's try this.
Hello @GeoFlora Nutrients this gentleman has switched to your nutrients.
He currently grows in coco.
How often would recommend the use of cal-mag in his feed water.
They are very responsive so let's see what they recommend.
Talk soon my friend.
I just remembered your question about the light and came back.
As I was just saying to another member.
My 4x8 flower tent had 3 900w lights on full and I kept them as close as possible without causing issues.
Are you saying 480w true draw on that light?
I wouldn't have it any farther than 18" to start.
See how she reacts.
Let her stretch into it and just watch her reaction.
If she is ok you can come closer.
But any sign of issues bring it back up a couple inches.
With a mystery light its a bit of work to find a sweet spot.

Day 64 from seed. 6 days since I switched over to the Geoflora. The ladies are looking much better! Northern Light is weeks behind the other 3. She’s green and bushy no pics of her today. The other 3 are getting sticky. I asked the wife this morning “Would it be rude to ask you to smell my finger?”

I plan to cover this tent with all the strains I will grow.
