1st Grow - Ebb-N-Grow : Afghan Kush, White Widow, Bag Seed!

How goes it SF, is today picture day? The anticipation with those EasyRyders is just KILLING me! Not sure if I'll survive to wait for a smoke report after you cut them. :rofl:

You heard from Bandit? Found his latest journal the other day and haven't seen hide nor hair of him. Hope ol Buford T didn't get a hold of him!
 
LowRyder Picture Update - Week 9 (from Seeds)

Hey Guys.

So they're getting real close. I think by next week (week 10) they'll be ready for harvest. Something true to the breeders claim about harvest time from seed.

The plants look gorgeous, except for the nute burn that I put them through. The ONLY thing that I'm not sold on yet is the pine(y) smell I'm getting from them after touching the buds. Usually the smell has more of a pungent distinct MJ smell, but these are more plant smell. The trics are "sticky", but perhaps not as sticky as the previous grow just completed. I'm hoping that the harvest, dry and cure will bring out the true representation of this herb.

So on to the pics. Note: I rotated the EcoGrower, 1/4 turn to allow light to be exposed to the plant that was located closest to the camera. You'll might notice this change in the pictures and wanted to point this out.

One more week man! Just gotta get the nutes outta them, then I can hit a bowl to test out....

Haven't heard from the Bandit. I suspect he's busy getting that new room ready...whole 420 site has been a little on the slow slide the last couple of weeks. I'm sure he'll come spinnin outta the turn fairly soon and be layin rubber in no-time. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Those plants look great SF, as I knew they would with you growing them. Many more buds than I expected from the strain originally. Looks to be a really good weight addition to your total grow. +reps ya if I can.

Nice bonus crop in the Eco Grower y'all got there SF :yummy:

Me and 'ol Snowman are tear assin' thru 420ville tonite with a trailer full of cooltubes, lumber, and all kinds of other goodies for our new haymaker and thought we'd stop in for SF's update.
Looks like things have really slowed with the heat clamping down on alot of grow ops. It should pick up soon with the outdoor gardens being established as we speak. Should also be a good time to see how some growers beat the heat and continue their gardens thru summer.

Buds are looking great SF! :bravo:

Saturday night. BBQ. Honky Tonk. Ice Cold Landsharks. Twisted Fatties. Tank tops & tube tops. It must be Summer in the South and I'm in heaven!

Hey SC.

Well that's a hard question to answer. Rather, there is no black-and-white answer I can provide. The EcoGrower was great for me to gain some experience before spending some $$ on the e-n-g. When I tried to grow 6 regular plants in the EcoGrower the first run, WTF was I thinking? My eyes were bigger than what could that little system to crank out. The "awkward" shape of the system is probably more conducive to small and shorter plants. I was fairly "disappointed" with the yield on the EcoGrower and decided to purchase the e-n-g. On the other hand, the e-n-g, is probably MORE system than I need for a personal grow. Even with the six plants that I ran in the system, I produced close to 2lbs of dried bud, which could last me two years. So I haven't found a perfect balance yet, but at the suggestion of Wheel, I'll probably run 4 buckets next time around, for better managability, and a little smaller yield.

Recently, I'm impressed with how the two LowRyders are doing in the EcoGrower, if I had known that from the beginning, it might be a different outcome.

I know this is a little long-winded, but this is something I was/am going to include in my summary, so I thought I'd get it down on "paper" while it was fresh in my head.

Now I can go and blow a :bong: and release my mind. Let me know if I didn't cover something and I can try and clarify a little better.

Should be taking these down end-of-week. Two seems to be the perfect number for this system, size, etc. For a personal stash and quick bud, this may be the way to run this RainForest/EcoGrower. I'll let you know how the smoke is...that IS the most important point, no? :cheesygrinsmiley:

Indeed, I was reading my hydrofarm magazine on the train and it says they are a good way to get clones and seedlings started for the veg period but apparently your proving that general statement to be false. It is a cheap unit as well for them constant growers this could be a good system. every day I see nice set-ups on here. Damn scientists cant make up their mind. RoorRip
