hey stink, first off im a deamon dog fan, just under the L by depaul U. Next big time cubs fan, the sox dont exsist in my mind, dam world series cheaters. Next Mi Pi for pizza off of Lincon Park Ave. I guess I could handle a clark dog. Your funny, thanks for getting me to relax, I'll send you some pics of my set up it seems that your the man here. 3rd CO2 tank ran dry today. LowRyders might be coming around.

:rip: Daemon dogs!

Just trying to make you feel welcome. Actually (between me and you, shhh keep it quite..lol), I still don't know what the hell I'm doing. I just do a lot of reading, follow instructions from the manufactures, and augment that information with advice from expert growers here, like McBudz, PitViper and everyone else that has provided tips and tricks. Really everyone is helpful on 420 and that's probably why the site thrives so much. I'd like to provide a list of everyone that has helped me out, but it would be quite a list. Everyone on my journal that has made a comment, even offering support, has been a real inspiration.

Thanks Chicago. Everyone here will be glad to see what you've got cookin.

Hey OMM. Funny you mention. With the CanFan running, I can't even really smell anything. Just a "hydro" smell of water and nothing out of the ordinary. However, yesterday I forgot to re-plug in the CanFan and forgot about it for 12 hours, and holy s*it did it smell like some fresh buds down in the dungeon. I only hope I can hold this momentum another 4 weeks until finish.

NG1. I'm impressed with the Kush so far. Didn't know much about the strain, other than I liked the Kush in the name. We'll have to see how she smokes.

Regarding the camera, I actually just use a "cheap" Canon SD600, nothing fancy. The most critical component I use is a tripod. The tripod ensures that all pictures are in focus. Some of the shots above were shot with lights on, and some with lights off (just using camera flash).

Quick Update 03/30/10

Res change. New Nutes! 1920 PPM, PH 5.7

Took a look at the timing on the CAP controller, noticed I was only running THREE cycles, with nothing set for a duration of 12 hours. Dumb mistake. Think that's why I'm seeing dropping leaves? Corrected.

LowRyders, two of four, definite progress. The other two, the jury is still out.

Yea, good eye. I took the picture at night time for the kids!
Went in there with a spot light and camera to get you a pic.
No they perk right up like they're on Viagra when the lights come on.
Its night time again right now or I'd send ya another pic.
Maybe tonight I can after 6:00.
Some of the current vitals are:
Breed: Cherry Bomb and Goo
Water changed three days ago
PH 6.1 and dropping
PPM 1100 and climbing
(Using Flora Nova Grow for nutes)
Watering six times a day for 15 min each
But for now here's the pic from your e-mail

Be careful when you "leak" light into the room during the dark period. You're supposed to have it "darkroom" simulated (like when you develop film) absolutely no light.

Now refresh my memory (which sometimes is short), on the question(s) you had? I think everyone can see that your plants have made huge progress since you last posted a picture!

I was going to start trimmming/pruning/LST.
Can I cut some of the big fan leaves off????
Seems they are shading alot of the new growth.
Was going to start cloning a few of the better plants too.

( you thoght the leaves were drooping.
In fact it was night time, no just a quick light on for the pic. )

They are 12-14" tall right now, when should I switch over to flower?
Will they really grow that much taller as I switch?

Hey man, Most definetly do NOT cut them off. Basicly the fan leaves feed the new growth, its MOST important that they get the most light. Im going to refer you to a post made by roseman in his Deep Water Culture guide and quote Jorge Cervantes on the subject:

From the "Grow Bible" By Jorge Cervantes:
"Leave leaves alone! Removal of healthy leave hacks up a healthy plant. Removing large or shade leaves DOES NOT make plants more productive. This practice DOES NOT supply more light to smaller leaves and growing tips. Plants need all their leaves to produce the maximum amount of chlorophyll and food. Removing leaves slows chlorophyll production, stresses the plant, and stunts its growth. Stress is a growth inhibitor. Remove only dead leaves or leaves that are more than 50 percent damaged."​
