1st Grow: Blue Dream

Looking good Magoo! How long will you be flushing for? Do these things have about a week left? Good call looking at the trichs all over the bud. Kind of eye opening what that little microscrope can tell you when you dig deep.

I’m thinking I’ll check this weekend and see if they are closer. I’m not gonna keep flushing I don’t think. I just wanted a good flush and I’ll probably still feed nutes at a lesser dose, still alternating with water. Tuesday will be a light nutrient dose and Thursday will be water. I’ll check and possibly harvest on Saturday unless she looks like she wants to go longer. Does that sound like a good plan for now?

Yeah I'd say so. I do about the same thing nowadays. Give them a good flushing a week to 10 days out and I add florakleen to the mix. Then I just give them low nutrient feedings until the last couple days and then straight water.

Thanks lady G. My water bill has stayed pretty low. The electric as well....until I got the dehumidifier. That thing must use some juice. Lol

Day 24

Creeping along but lookin good. No further watering needed yet. I just know those roots are growing good down there. Was hoping she would be this size a few days ago so I could have topped her by now. Probably coming real soon. 5th set of leaves are really tiny on there right now. As soon as I can pinch it off without harming any growth at the 4th node I will. Hopefully tomorrow. Here she is!

how is the smell on the plant your flushing / how you drying that sacrifice bud?

Seems like the last 10% of waiting for color on the tricomes takes 25 days. lol....at least for me.

I can’t pick out specific smells. Every once in a while I’ll catch a fruity smell but most of the time it just smells like killer herb. Lol. And the sample bud...I washed it and left it outside for a bit to dry off. Now it’s in a paper bag. Pinched the tip earlier but still too wet to smoke.

Is your inside humidity higher than outside humidity?

I can get basic smells down, pine, skunk, citrus, stuff like that. But it's all weed.

One thing I always thought was funny, I get some small tiny autos that stink like everything, then I get these large polite photos, and they just have a small delicate smell.

Humidity is quit a bit lower than outside. Dehumidifier is keeping it between high 30’s and low 50’s right now.

Smelled the drying piece this morning and there is an earthy, organic smell when you spread the bud open. Not picking up fruit on that piece at all. If I have to lean all the way into the tent for something is when I may catch a fleeting hint of fruit. My girlfriend says it smell like froot loops to her. Wish I smelled that. Lol

Magnificent this will be the third blue dream grow I've seen and now I'm going to give it a go myself. The blue will be evident once it's dried and cure to perfection. How many weeks of flowering are they?
