1st Grow: Blue Dream

Flower Day 41
RH 40-55
Temp 68-75

Steadily just alternating feeding nutes and water. Had a water n calmag feeding tonight. Dropped the humidity a tad. May go a little lower in a few more days. I’ve started turning the plants a bit more often after getting a little wind burn. I tried to get a leaf off and get a good pic of the issues but it still didn’t turn out well. But you can see a little. With the naked eye and under blurple they look far worse. But here are some pics.

And here are a few pics of the stars!

And here is the outsider. She was getting really tall so I had to supercrop her and get her low again. Don’t want the neighbors seeing. Lol

Your on the right track. Check your Ph going in and out. Try cutting back on flowering nutes. Plants drink a lot at flowering stage. What strength are you dosing at ?...I would suggest Water, Feed, Water Feed. The yellow tips are okay towards the end of flower. The browning could be Boron defect as well. But they look healthy more then other folks lol. Your doing good bro :goodjob:

They look good! This looks like top quality growing buds! With time I have understood better why so many people were looking firstly for quality before quantity. At the end it s useless to have multiple unsmokable buds.... You did well! Regarding the calmag issue I hope you can sort it quickly

You went hard on the outside girl! Are some leaves touching the ground or it s just the picture?
Just the pic. I’ll get another pic tomorrow and see how she’s looking.

I was also thinking about checking pH. I often saw red stems happening when pH is high. This thought could match with the boron deficiency

That is how I alternate them. With a little calmag in each feeding. Not much at all really a few ml per gal. I only feed them 1/2 gallon each. Not any runoff mostly but every once in a while I will do a gallon each of just ph water and there is always so much runoff. I always check and adjust ph of everything that goes in there. When they get nutes it’s at half strength. Foxfarm line.

I don’t know what to expect from any of them really. Lol. I have goals for photos but not really for autos. I’d like to get where I could yield 8oz per grow from this tent and then I’d love to see if I could build off of that. I don’t expect that from this grow but I want to keep improving until I feel like I’m maximizing my space. Could I pull a pound out of a 2x4....?? Maybe. Lol. Lofty goal I think but if others can pull 2 from a 4x4 seems like a good long term goal. I got a lot to learn first. Lol

It depends on the Strain, Lights, Grow environment but ultimate of all Training Training Training. Scrog the hell out of the 2×4...400-500 grams per square feet m2 is rule of thumb

So should I do a heavy feeding next time to get some runoff and check the ph on that? I just felt if I always added stuff at the right level that it would be all good

Feed as usual but just allowing a little runoff so that you can check. It will be helpful to spot the issue if there is one. I ve often seen you righting about adding calmag so it s hard for me to believe it could be a deficiency. Plus you re approaching the last days so I won't worry too much if I were you as the buds look great

Nice. Too much run off means good drainage but always get some runoff. Not a lot but over time salt build up is a bitch and it sucks. Fox Farms is hot half strength is goodGsc & OG Auto Kush 4x4 Grow

That’s kinda where I’m at too. Watching the buds. Trying to keep humidity in check and air flowing.

Haha. I don’t feel like I am at all. Lol. And I have no idea on the wt. I really can’t even guess. I’ve steadily lowered my expectations throughout the grow. The buds really aren’t very long. A few are but most are relatively small. I can’t guess....mainly because if I’m way off in the wrong direction I’ll be disappointed. Lol. Regardless of yield , I’ve had a great time growing them. And I feel like I could grow the same strain again and yield more. I guess that’s a good thing. Lol
Youve done very well mate. Dont sell yaself short.
We all progress with every grow and all learn new things. You will be pushing a nice yield at the end trust me

I plan to deviate from the fox farm feeding schedule a bit and follow the ratios that Asesino85 talks about in his current journal. I can’t use his PPM recommendations because he grows in coco but I don’t want to use the fox farm recommendations as well because they seem high. So I’ll try to get his ratios with these nutes and I’ll just have to start low on the PPM and go from there.

Here is a schedule I’ve used with the FoxFarm Trio, Open Sesame, Beastie Bloom, and Cha Ching. Went through 6 grows with it on multiple strains with no issues. I also use Ocean Forest but I mix it with 50% Happy Frog too because it’s not as hot as Ocean Forest. Don’t usually add nutes until the 3rd or 4th week. Also, your stems look a little long. May want to lower your lights a little bit to prevent stretching

I believe that’s close to the standard foxfarm soil feeding schedule. I followed that schedule but at half strength. And with the additions of their bushdoctor organic series. Getting close to harvest now me thinks!
