You've got to be fkn kidding me , I read or I saw on a YouTube video that Fox Farm Ocean Forrest soil had some sort of a gnat issue but I thought it was Bs. What the f**k is that about.. my basement grow is in that soil, I better not get something or I will lose my mind.

Sounds like the standard stuff when dealing with Fox Farms Soils. Independent testing showed FF soils have some of the highest numbers of bugs in their soil. Much better option to be found in Roots Organic soil or Bush Doctor Coco-Loco. But regardless Guy, mix water and 3% H2O2 at a 4-1 ratio and it will kill any gnats. Easy fix, unlike mites LOL.

I've used 8 bags, no issues

This isn't the soils issues, it's gnats that came in, probably, from the stagnant water from the Hempy pots watering

I have 3 cups, only 2 have critters, and pretty sure that because if me spreading them

Most look gone now, I'll use with hydrogen peroxide tomorrow after I get some

I haven't had an issue with my hempies and gnats. Just excessively wet soil and or coco before they went into the hempy. Not that it isn't the res that's the problem.... but if you h202 there will be no more to speak of .

Yeah that doesn't surprise me. Seemed like it was a feast or famine on bugs in the FF soil. Gnats are easy regardless. I intend to incorporate H2O2 drenches and neem sprayings as preventative growing from here on out....try to catch any issues before they get out of hand.

Had the gnats for awhile but didn't think anything of it, just my starts room so wasn't concerned till I saw the crawling critters today

They will be all dead tomorrow

The issue FFoF had was with poor storage. The buds found their way into the soil while the bags were being stored awaiting sale. I had zero problems with my bag of FFOF, which was great, it must've been kept safe from manufacturing to my air pots. Who knows, I love Hydro lol and I'm sticking to it!

I use dirt to start the seeds then all are Hempy now, my version of hydro...lol

Thankfully all the FFOF I buy is bug free lol... Have had a small pest problem with some jiffy pellets but nothing major at all.

Those Damn gnats made me pre-harvest my girl outside and throw all of my regulair plant inside away. And now I read the solutjon xD Its good to know for the future for Sure!

I had gnats one time... It was crazy I had at least a hundred flying around and oddly enough they went as fast as they came... I found 99% of them dead inside a light fixture all balled up together and the few remaining ones had made it out of the grow room and slowly died off the next week in the living area. Was crazy lol I didn't know what happened to them at first until I changed out a CFL bulb lol. They luckily did no damage either and I was sure to let my soil stay pretty dry too.

Flower Day 27 - Day 20 with Hairs

Still cruising along in flower. I cut down my male plant today. Harvested the last bit of pollen from him this evening and then cut him down. His leaves were starting to die off, its amazing how fast he faded. Buds continue to get bigger and stack nicely.

I did my cross pollination tonight as well. I picked three lower bud sites on the Blue Kush, the Blueberry, the Durban Poison, and the ATF 2.3 plant and dropped a bit of pollen on them. Hopefully there won't be too much accidental pollination elsewhere but if there is it's ok.....you can never have too many seeds. I will keep monitoring the branches I pollinated for the hairs to change color. If they don't, i will reapply.

The ATF 1.1 plant that was bred for seeds is progressing nicely. They are day 37 but I haven't seen any seeds pop open yet. Should be real soon.

On a side note, I dropped some more predator mites in the main tent just to make sure they keep anything in there in check. Will keep checking leaves to make sure they stay in check.
