Oh there are always 2 pairs of hands involved in the harvest Amy! She is a trooper on harvests and seeding. I have to say that seeding is much slower paced and wears on you far more than harvesting bud.

Speaking of seeding. All the seeding is complete, still counting and sorting the immature seeds. So far I have 1200 seeds that have been sorted and counted and bagged and I have about 900 more to go (based off weight). So looks like the final count on good viable seeds will be about 2100, give or take 50. That doesn't include the 150 or so I gave away to friends.

Bit coin is through the roof Growchy. It was about 2500 when I invested initially and its up to about 9600 as of yesterday's seed purchase. I also used about 100 bucks worth of Seedsman Loyalty points (was shocked I had that many). But I can assure you that it will be a cold day in hell before I ever spend that kind of money on seeds. For me to ever pay that much for a few seeds, that strain would need to control or cure a condition that no other strain could help. Other than that, anyone wanting to charge that kind of money for seeds is out of their ever loving mind. The only people more out of their mind are the people that think "wow, those must be really good seeds if they are charging that much....lets get an order".

Dude, that bud was so seeded there really wasn't a lot of bud left over. If I wasn't about to harvest close to another pound, I would have saved it for oil. All we really had left was a pile of sawdust like bud after picking through it all. Not sure what I will do with the little bit left.

Hey, quick question.....although nothing ends up being that lol. The green sand for the mix; super tough to find. I get the importance of it due to volume intended to be used. Do you think it's viable to up the amount of kelp meal to Aid in the available potassium or is that not a good idea? Thoughts?

Flower Day 60 Update - 1st Harvest (4 colas of Durban Poison) approximately 40% of the total plant was harvested

We cut the first of our plants tonight. We took the 4 biggest colas from the Durban Poison and left the remaining colas for later harvest. I will be checking the trichomes on the Blueberry and Blue Kush to see who is going to be next. The rest of the garden is looking good. ATFs are continuing to fatten up.

These 4 colas were extremely dense with a fair amount of side branching. The smell is very strong floral. I definitely think this round has a much more intense floral smell. They got their three bucket wash with water and hydrogen peroxide mix in the first bucket, followed by luke warm water bucket, and then finished in the cold water bucket. Will let them hang dry for 2 day and in the fridge they go.

60 days huh? That's about how long I would flower some of my indicas, that seem like a fast finisher for a landrace sativa! I'm guessing the rest of the stuff on the plant isn't quite as ready?

This Panama x Malawi I'm doing is the first sativa I've harvested, and I'm the inpatient type... 84 days seems like such a long time.

Are you planning on doing a slow cure in the fridge?? I think I asked before but can't remember... I read too many journals.... Lol yeah THAT's the reason I can't remember ;)

Yeah the breeder has it listed at 55-60 days if I remember correctly. Last harvest I let them go about a week longer and I though they were a tad bit tame. So I wanted to try about a third of this harvest earlier and get a bit racier of a high. I will let the rest of the Durban go a bit longer.

I think Blueberry will be coming down tomorrow. Thursday at the latest. The Blue Kush I have to look at the trichomes and my notes from last harvest. I enjoyed the high from when I harvested it last time so I will try to replicate the finish.

Wow. Awesome looking nugs there van! So this is your second round of ATF now? I can remember was this harvest your seeds or is that ATF from a breeder?

I love the tops on the first and last pic wowzers!

Well damn... I think I may have to try some Durban Poison in the future for sure now. I always assumed it was a much longer flowering strain.

Yeah I ran the complete same line up in terms of strains as I did the first grow. They were all clones from the moms. I haven't run any of my own seeds....yet. I will probably start taking some of the ATF in 5 days or so.....gonna try some of it early and see the difference between clear and cloudy trichomes and waiting around for amber to show up.
