Yeah I guess a lot of it really depends on the terpene profile and other cannabinoids too. But the pictures they had didn't make it look much better lol Definitely seeing much better specimens here.

Durban is one of those strains that is VERY high if not one of the highest terpine strains. It's not all THC.. for Indica yes we want the most THC we can get. In the Sativa world, its a little different. Durban can have 4-5% terpines. Most all plants have 0.1 to 1% average. It's not tops but its close... and now I've just purchased Sour Tangie.... damn it... off the seed wagon, again.

Add to the terpine profile, Durban is also high in THCV.

Terpines I think is where the medicine comes from and where all the cancer studies are looking. We need to get cannabis off the schedule 1 status so more studies can be done here in the states.

Brothers Grimm was always out when I was looking so I bought some from Female Seeds. I figure i would give it a try and then eventually get some beans from the original breeder and do some comparing. I have heard great things about the C99 strain. Its one of the strains on my short list for starting the perpetual grow. I think she is slated in about the number 7 slot if I remember correctly.

Brothers Grimm has a Durban Poison x C99 .... on sale at GYO... not that I would know anything about purchasing seeds.

Man Van, it's looking great over here. I'm really wanting to sink some seeds but I'm struggling with all the new choices. I think I'll definitely give Dutch Passion's Durban Poison another go. I have 3 seeds left, hopefully I can get 1 to germinate. It's one of the few pure sativas the wife can handle. I saw another grow of DP and those went purple as well. Keep up the good work....can't wait to try some Stank Genetics!

Thanks Neiko, I appreciate the kind words. I know the struggle of trying to figure out what to run next. Always finding something new to want to try and then you think you want to try it worse than the last 10 that you added onto the list. I just got the Durban from ACE and I will want to run one or two for the hell of it and see the difference.

Yeah I got a few things going on in there. I pollinated my Platinum Girl Scout Cookies x Cherry OG with some Blackberry Kush feminized pollen, but it was literally a few grains, so I'm waiting to see if that takes. I took a bunch of clones and am trying to decide which ones to reverse with CS and make seeds with, waiting to see which of the Panama x Malawi plants I like the most, but I'm also saving this Platinum Girl Scout Cookies x Cherry OG plant I've got going.

Then not to mention just watching the colas stack up

Hey there VS.... careful what you wish for brother... I harvested some Sativa I'm running at 58 days the first round... ouch, and I always over indulge.


On your soil in the 3gal pots.... I think your plants look fine. 48 ish days in flower I always have yellow and yellowing leaves. The sugars are all green and thats the important part. The big fans give up nutrients that are stored in to the flowers for seed building energy. I usually see this start at 30ish days in flower. I never worry about yellow fans. Its the gold traits showing ... see problem solved.

Your plants look super healthy to me, big fatty colas.

Only thing we give up with a smaller container is plant size. I'm in 7.5gal containers and my plants are outgrowing the height of the room. 5gal is a good size for a tent going all the way to the end. #3 nursery pots I always transplant into the 7.5gal containers at flip to flower. They are usually root bound @ 35 days of veg.

Its a bitch moving the larger pots around for sure... I only do it 1 time thankfully.

Your tea regimen is working... for sure. What are you doing for teas?

We are thinking ADK ... lots of large farmettes and most every property for sale has several acres & some have a lot of land and not to expensive either. Mountain top properties are like 4-10 acres, good for me. Now where's my snow shovel! Oye...

Hey Bob, thanks for swinging through. I am still trying to play around with my Sativas to figure out what I like. I figure I will take this one a little earlier than I took her mom and see how I like it. I might even do a half and half harvest......half soon and half later.

Thanks for the input on the soil. I know they are looking healthy.....but I am surprised to see this much yellowing. Will definitely be moving up to the bigger pots on the next grow....probably try the 7 gallon pots first and maybe eventually up to the 10 gallon pots.

As for teas I am using about a cup of EWC, 1/4 teaspoon of dried ground kelp, 2-3 tablespoons of Seabird Guano, and tablespoon or two of blackstrap molasses. Still kind of playing around with it and seeing how the plants react. Wish I could find some horsetail ferns but I haven't found any yet. Anything else you would recommend for mid to late flowering teas?

I can't believe that those bastages from ACE seeds had the nerves to send me a catalog with all their strains, including their limited edition strains. I mean what kind of bullcrap is that!! Hell I haven't hardly opened this delivery and I will circling stuff for next order. Can you say enablers?

I gotta admit I am kind of interested in that Violeta strain as well as the PCK x Erdpurt strain. I would like to look more into their breeders packs.

Haha right, their catalog is great for finding all those other strains you don't see on their site. I have to find mine, it's pretty useful for quickly looking for flowering times too. I want a fast flowering strain from them.

Yeah the pheno of the Platinum CSC x Cherry OG I ended up with smells very interesting too. Pretty much like dog crap. But that's fitting since I told a friend I'd call it Maddog after his uncle. But that works for me too since I'll probably end up crossing it with the Panama x Malawi, and saying Platinum Girl Scout Cookies x Cherry OG x Panama x Malawi is just too much...

But yeah I like my Blackberry Kush, but I'm hoping crossing it out with the Maddog will bulk the bud structure up a little since this pheno I made my S1 seeds from is a little fluffy. They're all powerhouse strains when it comes to potency, but I'm hoping the Blackberry Kush will put some more of the Indica back into the Maddog since that is pretty close to a 50/50 hybrid.

Here we go again lmao......Ive got plenty of room about to be available.....

Interesting convo on pot size. My buddy and I jut had this same talk tonight. I told.him I'd like to do minimum 7.gallon on my next run. He told me that his 30 day veg coupled with a 60 -65 day strain never gets root bound. Is that was this larger pot size is based on entirely or is it due to the questions surrounding nutrients left for the plants.. ...moreso anyway? I've not done an entire run in 5s yet. Just wondering......
