Re: 12/12 Bag Seed - Blackberry Kush - Frankenberry - Girl Scout Cookies - 400W MH/HP
Still got a feeling something aint right. Looks like it is still using up the fans as food some. Yellowing. Purple usually isn't good to me but stems sometimes...My PC always has them. Something is a miss...
Anyone?

Yeah I am a little less concerned now, it doesn't seem like new growth is yellowing, but some of the leaves that were already turning, it's almost like the plants are sacrificing those. Getting close to week 4 so it's a little early for natural yellowing die off, but there's a lot of factors to consider. Still have never seen any kind of sign of disease in the roots, and they don't really look bound, so I am just going to let them do their thing.
I think I probably could have done a better job breaking the soil up, I notice from one pot to the next that the consistency of the soil was very different, and most of them will drain a cup of water soon as you pour it in, almost like the soil is too airy. Usually I end up compacting it too much and having it stay wet on me, I am wondering if perhaps I just went to far the other way. The soil stays wet due to all the peat, but it drains so damn fast I wonder if maybe the roots aren't as happy as they could be. It's really the only thing I can come up with that would be giving me these signs.
But like I said I am going to try to jus keep trucking, there isn't much else I can do for them at this point in the game. Giving the root zone beneficials, keeping the nitrogen fairly high, and focusing more in P and K (they're frosting up nice). As far as they keep growing new healthy leaves, I am not too worried about the bigger ones shriveling.
It could be a natural response to this growing style, if the plant knows it's not going to have long to live why bother with these big huge fan leaves that are there to soak up more light and air than the little plant actually needs. It might just be the plant correcting a simple inefficiency, knowing it spends more energy keeping that tissue alive than it has use for the energy it supplies. Since things are supposed to be "accelerated" in this style perhaps earlier yellowing onset is just natural.
Anyway those are my theories and so I am just going onto keep doing what I am doing for another 4 weeks and see where I'm at then.
