Very nice Irish!! I can't wait to see that purple jungle start flowering!

ive been thinking about that. do you know what RH% messes things up? whats the safe zone?

I don't know if I answered this. The less the RH%, the longer the carbon will last. So, the RH in your grow room will be determined by other factors since the filter wants it as dry as it can get.

i think its both the silica and light.

i would go with two 180's if it were me, but it all depends on how many plants ur trying to grow? the two 180's will give more foot print.

Thanks, 2 180s seem a bit more versatile, and it's the same money. A chunk of change, but making more sense by the minute.

I'm still up in the air with the number of plants. Power Plant is sativa dominant, but by no means leggy, so I'm thinking if I pimp 'em right, wouldn't take many to fill the screen. Maybe 4 at the most, 3 least. I've got a scrog screen waiting, but my plans have been changing hourly :) First timers, dang.

There is an argument for getting the one larger LED array and running it with a light mover. I'm planning on doing a grow like that. Think of how a photocopier works ... ;)

I'll be paying attention to your gro. I have access to a light mover, but, for me... it's one more danged thing, and 6 more inches of headroom.

So, you're saying a light mover will make pics of my butt that strangely look like the moon? :)

:peace:

Don't be moonin' us, lol.

A big LED on a light-mover... Interesting. I was about to ask if two LEDs in a square area would work out, geometrically speaking. So now: What about the two smaller ones on a light-mover? Set them up for best coverage side-to-side, and get the other dimension with the mover. If there was some overlap in central coverage, this might also be helpful (in the informational sense, at least).

Just because the area is square it wouldn't mean the plants have to be set that way... butt, if that light rail also photocopies my behind, I could looking at new line of work. Scary :)

these are the changes i did. all plants get feed the same way
I adjusted the ph to 6.0, then started watering in one spot, and added H2O2. thats it. their 100% right now. my ph was 6.3 and thats when it started then went to 5.8 and it got worst then tried 6.0 and everything got better. i also believe watering in 1 spot helped keep the peat moss under control from messing with the PH. IDK. but ive been feeding the same way ever since and so far so good, very healthy looking green color.

I also caught my PH flexing, i think the silica was doing it? it would be at a certain ph and start climbing up after a few min, i was just feeding after ph'ing, now i wait for 15min and give them a few points lower ph and it will raise 2 points and stay their. seems to be working great.

The Silica messes with ur PH but my plants love it. what it will do to ur leaves will amaze you, it really dose position ur leafs to get all the light. its crazy! its like every leaf is positioned perfect.

you notice i dont really have leaf curl like all the other times?

Heya Irish...thanks for the info on the order of nutes and additives. I have been following your advice and it is working really well. :grinjoint:

Question about the Silica and H2O2? Are you adding these every feeding? Or at intervals of feeding?

thanks! i cant wait either

thanks for that valuable info

i would go with two 108's. also remember when doing a SCROG sometimes less is more. you can get more yield from less plants allot of times, ive seen it proven.

yup i agree a light mover on one unit would be sweet. more covarge area abd you could keep the lights closer to the plants

I feed every feeding but now since i am flowering and my green fuse additive is organic i am feeding H2O2 every other feeding and the GF the other times. but the silica is every feeding

so irish you said with the silica that it raises your ph are you just using a ph down for every feeding with it?

When you feed with both vegging and for flower using the silica did your nutes bring the ph down or did you have to add something extra to get it where you wanted?

and one more question about this how long do you let your solutions sit, well when you were doing a soil grow, do you mix like a few gallons to last you a week or so or just enough for each feeding?

Hi folks another new guy question for the more experienced growers here. I was wondering what are your thoughts on how long you feel comfortable leaving your grow for a vacation? A few days to a week? I would be using leds and ebb and flow, would the water be good for that long as long as the electricity doesn't go off for some reason?:nicethread: :bong:

Hehe...great question. I have been wondering the same thing myself. :)

first off...Irish, those girls look terrific...great job...cant wait to see them bud....lavendar

high there, we use drip system for when we leave...we only run water even to the bud room while gone...that way no fouled lines....we measured the water flow into jugs, then adj. flow, set it for min...a.m. and p.m......then we let it go on the plants to see if calc. work...so far so good....now for a vacation...and we dont feel that just water will hurt them while were gone, will just flush a little....lavendar

i use ph down to get it where i want, the base nutes to help lower it but still need PH down.

i let my nutes sit for a few hours bubbling with an air stone, then i adjust the ph and let it sit for 15-30min just to see if its stable and the ph stays were i left it at.

i only make enough nutes for one feeding, i always feed my plants fresh food.

ya what she said, but i dont feel good leaving my plants at all, pumps can fail temps could get too crazy anything could happen. but i use a drip system also for these reasons. anything over two days would have me worried in hydro. now when i was just using Sun Shine#4 and not all hydro i would leave them for 5 days at a time and no problems, but i didnt have to feed as much

Whats up Irish,

Just checking in, Looks like you ladies are well on there way. The tops all look pretty uniform, cant wait to seed those buds popping through your screen. Great job...

Sorry irish, must of got confused with another journal. Thought you where going to put up a screen, gosh the canopy is so even thought you where getting ready to pop the screen on. Either way great job as always....
