There second set of leaves came out with 3 blades. There treating me so good. Shes a she for sure. Roots exploded into the clay rocks ever since I put them in the DWC under current bucket :circle-of-love:

Thanks Elious. The white shirts really works wonders with keeping the temps down in the water in each bucket plus the res. Keeps my water around 50-55F. I havent changed my res yet and it still looks clean. I read some where that you keep topping off your water until you get to the amount that you first put in there and then change the res. Which sounds fair and its not nutes being wasted. Im dealing with 12 gallons of water and thats alot of nutes. But I bought all gallon sizes but still its alot of nutes lol. Yea very close. Its been only 1 week and couple days since they been in the RCDWC. And the results im getting im blown away. Im not going to flip the lights until I get teh whole screen filled. Im looking to get them atleast 4-5ft before flipping the lights. I know the root system is crazy. I wish I can take a peak. :)

Hey Hiker, yea I figured I had a few old shirts laying around why not. Works out better then I expected. I cut them down the middle then tied them together around tubing using zippy ties. I have one on the main res as well. :)
 
I agreed, the T-shirt is clever. If and when I try DWC again, I'm going to remember that one.

You had to split them? I thought the brilliant part was you could just stretch them over the top or from the bottom, no?
Even on my bucket system I think I could just disconnect the hose and slide them on from the bottom if the plants were too big to go over the top.
 
Nope I tried that. If I did it bottom to top then it wouldn't reach over top because of the second notch in the buckets. If I did it top to bottom then then midway to bottom would be exposed, especially on the front 2 buckets. My light reaches down mid way into the buckets. I used my light meter to check. So then I just put the shirts on like a jacket :)


Besides that I thought of the idea after everything was put together and the plants where in there. I was kids mad to because it was hot as shit that day in the grow room & i didnt have the AC yet lol

Good Weed everyone. Oh so yesterday my magnetic ballast just shut off it was still running but the bulb wasnt igniting. I noticed because I was outside the grow room and I heard a loud buzzing and I already knew what it was. I turned it off and then waited 10 minutes to turn it back on. Luckly I have a back up light set up so if one goes off then the back up light comes on. Pretty sick huh :)

Any who, It came back on so thats cool. Im thinking I may need a new bulb but if its the ballast then its all good. It has a 5 year warranty on it :thumb:

I had that problem with my HPS and it was the bulb. when I removed it the insides of the bulb clanked like a bell. it still fired but once I replaced it, worked just fine from there on. hope thats all it is for you:) not that bulbs are cheap.
