I previously thought the Rainbows would yield the most, but seeing now how the Green Gelato buds are taking off I think the GG will win the yield battle. Taste wise they both smell amazingly, so I think they'll both be really good.
The Ayahuasca Purple has disappointed me since she started to stretch and she developed her long internode distances. Perhaps the heavy defoliation was too much for her, it seems her buds don't grow more. Her smell is good, though, and she's sticky, so I think her yield might be small but still good.

I had the Green Gelato out for some maintenance and took a couple of pics. The buds are growing massive! And she hasn't even started to bulk up yet. I put a cigarette lighter on her for size referral.

I harvested the Ayahuasca Purple today and a couple of taste buds came off, one of the AP and one Rainbows bud.

Thank you. No, the environment has been about the same during the whole grow - a bit warmish, though. I usually have 28 degrees C during the day, and 21 degrees C at night.

Cool, I'm trying to bring out some pretty colors in my purple kush. I've heard multiple different things for achieving crazy colors ie....stress makes plants change color, colder temps, cease nutrients in late stage flowering...

Does it just boil down to genetics ?
