Autoflower Myth Busting Thread

I know there are a lot of Myths out there about Autos, one being they don't like to be transplanted. I had no problems with doing that, no stunted growth or any concerns.

I grow White Widow regularly, but have not tried the Auto WW. My WW get quite tall and spread out, I'm wondering how the Autos look, how tall they get etc.

Do you do any kind of defoliation during the grow?
 
This is an auto white widow from RQS..... 120 sum Grams in 70 sum days....

And as far as defoliation it's as needed.... I do trim most of them... I take off a few leaves daily instead of just going in and hacking her up all at once to prevent shock... any large fan covering potential buds sites I clip off...

Well another myth busted about defoliation on Autos. :)

Thanks for identifying the pics of the WW! That does it for me, when I place my seed order this weekend there's going to be some WW auto seeds in there.

I'm gonna follow along. I'm one of the on-the-fence folks. But, your autos would be worth it.

So, as far as breeders go, what frijoles seem to grow more like photos? Is there a fav of your's so far?
I've grown dozens of autos, but usually get the 18" tall Charlie Brown Xmas tree. The lil pathetic one.

How do they do in a small cabinet grow using scrog technique? Don't think I've ever seen a auto scrog grow.
 
Sorry for all the questions today. LOL I only have so much time before heading for work so I post when I think of them. No rush on replies intended. :)

So, you do topping and fimming on autos? Does it seem to slow them down considerably or not much?

I did see the beast his autos are nice too.. beast and atrain have had the most impressive autos I've seen.. I have a small closet with one light and I love the smaller auto strains and model my growing after guys like you... thanks for always posting useful info A !!! Much appreciated by guys like me that need a dummy guide lol... hell you've done everything else train... why haven't you been in member of the month yet
 
Hey atrain sent you a friend request. I'm a first time grower and new to 420 as well. I've been lookin for a auto- specialist like your self for some assistance for weeks now. Please accept my request and any assistance you can give me. To top not to top? Training? Light cycle? Is cloning a option? Temp variability? Air flow? ........? I've allready looked at some of your schedules and such you have posted on this site. "GREAT STUFF" very informative.. I only hope u can maybe take me on as a apprentice of sorts hope to here back from you.. Nick.
 
Thanks for the help bro I'm still tryin to navigate this site. Not too computer savvy it's been some time plus I dunno this place just seems tricky to get around. A lot of info I guess. They won't let me I.m. You yet I don't have enough post yet it says.. Newbie Nick....
 
I have allready purchased 600 watt ballast.with hps and MH bulbs and hopefully my northern lights seeds will make it to me from crop king. It's been over a week and they haven't arrived so I hope Johnny law hasn't grabbed them up. I have your planting potting and feeding schedule wrote down and am designing my grow area for just a hand full of babies for now.
 
They should show, Red. I've gotten shipments three times without any issues. It will take about 9-12 days.
 
Real Garden tub...lol I have a spare bath room with a decent size corner garden tub was thinking of using this space as a grow room it also has two doors almost katy corner of each other and was thinking " good air flow maybe " possibly even put a activated carb. Filter on one door. U no cut a hole in one door put a box fan and cut the other and put the filter... Thoughts??
 
Also back to forum topics...autos??? Can u trim or top for better bud production? Do u? Is it worth it u think? And a big question of mine what about cloning?. R do u not have a long enough life cycle r somthing to that effect. I no a lot of questions right??
