You don't have to root a clone just to determine sex. Put the cutting into a glass of water and place it in a 12/12 cycle. Sex should show withing 2 weeks. Of course you will have to keep replacing the water every 3 days or so.

so how long till my clone start rooting, one fo them is loosing alot of color on its leaves, starting to yellow i dont think tht one will make it. i am cloneing for sex so i can cull out some plants i started with 7 plants and now they are to big, i had to chop two in half but their still alive

Thanks for dropping in and asking. I'm not doing as well as I could, I'm sort of feeling hopeless at this point due to the problem of not having a local Co-Op dispensary within 150 miles of my home. All of the somewhat local Co-Ops closed their doors in 2007 because of DEA raids but I recently heard that there may be a couple of places opening soon but thats stll a 210 mile round trip for me. I hope all is well with you and thanks again my friend.
