Really bushy is a good thing... more leaves means more light gathering, and that means a stronger and healthier plant able to draw up even more water and nutrients. I do take some leaves off, but only those that are stuck in the middle of the canopy and that are blocking bud sites, and on the last week of veg I do strip the lower third of the plant so as to send all future efforts up to the top, and I do all of this prior to the end of stretch as bloom starts, and I prefer to do most of it while still in veg. I have a theory that while the plants are in veg they adapt to whatever it is that happens to them, pretty much taking everything in stride, but when they get fully into bloom they are unable to adapt any longer because their prime directive is only to build those buds, so they start reacting with stress to things that happen to them. With that in mind, I try very hard not to take more than one or two leaves a watering session if I need to during bloom and pretty much leave them alone from that point on.Day 16 Flower I had to water the 2 Gelato #33's yesterday, drinking more than the rest. I have to water the other plants today. They are all really bushy, I just don't know if i should take any leaves off or just let them grow. This part is confusing to me, some say no....some say yes....hmmm...anyone have done this before? I don't want to do the wrong thing and harm the girls.
They look just right...in fact,I've got one 21 days in, and it doesn't look as good as your girls...can anyone tell me if they look ok at this period in flower?
